To me, Laliga isn't that competitive as epl due to the fact that RM and Barca are way richer than all other clubs there.....but that doesn't stop the other teams from competing. Clubs like ATM (already smashed Lvpl), Athletico Club, Valencia, Espanyol, Villareal and Sevilla can take on epl giants any day.
Now you talk about money, are you telling me that epl clubs are not far richer and equipped to spend more on window transfer than their Spanish counterparts?

That's cos other viable teams were also inconsistent or worse.
You have a dead Sevilla, not getting their mojo back after their coach left for BIGGER dreams.
You have a Valencia with deep issues with ownership and mangt. Problems. You have a Bilbao that is a shadow of itself, at one point in time battling for relegation. Imagine a team that has never been relegated before, even being a pioneer club who first started the League. You have a weakened ATM and little or no ambition to win Big presently (besides they're rebuilding after Mass Exodus of their BEST players.).
You have a Villareal who is comfortable with Europa.

Besides, Barca and RM (and to a lesser extent ATM) are pretty BIGGER than these clubs with a very wide margin; both in terms of quality, Funds, Reputation, Legacy, world class coaches(or builder), Philosophy and veritable Youth academy etc. Its not like Barca or RM will suddenly drop to the level of Villareal, Leganes, Celta Vigo etc. in terms of quality or competitiveness.

during the period you say epl was banned, Madrid didn’t win the ucl too. It took madrid 32 years to win back the ucl in ‘98. So it holds no difference. Other teams won it when Madrid didn’t. Point is, Spanish teams have the better record in Europe meaning their league is strong.
Also Madrid weren’t lucky to win 2018- they deserved it just as any other winner who wins a final. Injuries happen and teams should be prepared for that. I could say same for Liverpool in 2019 final cos that penalty was questionable and they really didn’t do much in the game after that.
