When your black friends say "Black lives matter", they're not saying ONLY black lives matter or that white lives doesn't matter.
It's also a cry for help, pointing to the profound perils they face. Next time you hear that slogan echo on your streets or digital avenues, pause & think before you respond. To say back to them "All lives matter" is almost like saying to women who are raped "Men are raped too". While your assertion may be true, it diminishes the attention being put on the disproportionate dangers they face & is a mockery of their cry for help. We know it is true that ALL lives matter. But truth spoken without compassion is cruelty.

Yeah Rashford is a hybrid (and so is Martial as well). Neither is a pure wide man or center-forward. Both would be better in a 2 man strike partnership with a more traditional 9, however that is not in vogue anymore.

But the thing about Rashford and Martial is that they don’t like playing centrally. So if they partner with a 9, they will move to the left and leave the striker to cover the right and center. Plus they don’t have the skill set to play behind the striker, connecting midfield with attack.

Either of them can play as part of an old fashioned partnership with a proper CF especially Rashford NOT SS/No10. That is the same thing Timo Werner does when he plays centrally.

But the duo are more comfortable on the left na. They are usually clueless in the middle, behind the striker or not and will drift to the wings

The gesture is not necessarily a racist one. But the timing makes it seem like it’s whitelivematters vs Blacklivesmatter. Majority judge racism emotionally instead of logically. Just like rape, it’s just too touchy a subject for most people.

There are 220 million whites and 40 million blacks in America. What do you expect?
Start from there and do the math.

Whites make up over 60% of the general population but only 52% of police fatality.

Blacks make up just over 12% of the population but a whopping 32% of the police fatality.

Only 9.4% of the white victims are unarmed while 14.8% of the black victims are unarmed.
