Balance in a relationship is very important and the first step towards creating balance in a relationship is communication(speaking and listening).The whole point of a relationship is to co-create an environment where both people compliment each other.Having a balanced relationship doesn't mean you agree on everything,make room to disagree,try to understand each others point of view and debate with respect.So you really can't achieve this Balance when you are of the same age as your views and experience of life is almost on the same level,but there are few exceptional cases who scaled through this "Balance" but I tell you it wasn't an easy experience for them.Balance becomes an easy thing to achieve with a gap in the age and as the saying goes "age comes along with wisdom".

If you intend to get married as early as 25 and below the odds are very slim cos you might not have 'blown' by then and girls at that age tend to prefer more stable men mentally and financially. Not necessarily for marriage though but just to have around to tend to their sexual and financial needs in the name of my boyfriend. But once you as a man hit 30 to 35 and all things being equal you are ok financially it's easier to marry a girl your age.

OP, dont mind this oniranu, at 35 find a 17 or 18yr old to marry. Thats best for you and her.
