Oh boy see money! How can we be sure he is worth this much? Abi did he 'amplify' his net worth with the aim of 'filling in the blanks' during his tenure as governor?
Ajimobi, who had his first degree and MBA in the US, before he got elected as Senator in 2003, was the MD/CEO of National Oil & Marketing Company Ltd, a subsidiary of Shell.

Anyone who rose to the MD/CEO position at ANY subsidiary of Shell, that globally-acclaimed oil multinational, must have been rich; just like one would expect for an ED of any top bank.

And he submitted these assets declaration forms BEFORE/ON THE DAY he was sworn-in as Governor.

However, this is not an excuse for any form of corruption; but I thought that it was good to say the truth about his professional background, after I read some comments as though he was a nobody before he joined politics.

Shell CEO takes home 8 million USD annually, now google what executives, board members, managers managing directors

And wail out loud
Ignoramus. I know logical thinking is hard for many of you. The only thing your brains can process is how to defend your oppressors. Comparing Ben van Beurden's pay in 2020 to a MD subsidiary role in 2001 already shows your lack of logical reasoning. O ga. Smh

Where did he make all this money?
He works with shell petroleum both home and abroad and he was one time executive director of Shell. I don't doubt his financial status.

There are many twists and turns to this, but believe me, the value of those properties are hyper-inflated.
How much is farmland at Ido in 2011? Probably ₦40,000-₦80,000/acre, but guyman wrote ₦1.2 or so/acre by 130 or so acres. . . same can be said of the Oluyole property, the Lagos properties too.

Did you read this news? He had these properties in 2011. This was a 2011 news. What “recent recession” are you talking about?

By the way, will recession demolish the properties?

Your level of dumbness is even worse than I thought. You obviously don't know the contribution of downstream vs upstream particularly at that point in time, in early 2000s. Please GTFO my mention abeg, there should be more sensible people to engage in conversation than you.

I dont have house in the US. I am in my 30s, Ajimobi declared this at 62 after retiring as CEO and even setting up own companies (and after a tenure as senator). So don't compare. Just telling you to look at the trend and see that it is possible.
You are the one who attempted the comparisons here.

I have only worked in the oil and gas industry as an employee for 12 years and only became a manager recently, and my company is not one of the top 15 oil companies in Nigeria.

If I get government position today, I have 5 houses (in 3 states) to declare. I'm still in my 30s. It may have reached 7 by 40 (Allah willing).

Guys, this is possible for someone who rose to become CEO of an oil company. And he made this declaration in his 60s.
Uncle, we are talking about high priced houses in the UK and US denominated in foreign currencies, in addition to numerous ones in Nigeria, in addition to N292.4M, you are talking about houses in 3 states (I presume in Nigeria) - this your comparison clearly holds no water. Comparing houses in Nigeria to overseas. Please.

I remember Ajimobi also headed SHELL Togo for a few years before retirement. He was in Senate too. I think his worth is reasonable.
Let them continue to play the man's spirit.
This Ajumobi, once lived in USA,washing dead bodies and was a cab-driver there then, according to his story while alive, declared his assets and nobody challenge him.He worked in oil companies at different times.Much as I can't defend him,but it is wrong for Oyo State Govt to now be making noise by sponsoring social media: crucified him.Do you know the Millions that drivers in oil company collect as entitlement?

They do not pay Nigerian oil executives $8m annually. That’s a big lie. Some of us are very well exposed to compensation. Maybe the group CEO’s in the US but never the executives in subsidiaries and poor countries like Nigeria. By the way when did plot of land in Oyo cost that much In 2011?

2011 declaration he did under PDP, then why not probe him as CCT probed Tinubu and Saraki?

The oppressed defending the oppressor.... Interesting... But note that he did work in the capacity of a director for 26yrs....he move up in rank within that space of time.

Asset declaration made in anticipation of heavy looting nonsense.

The properties located overseas are worth more than his 2 companies and more than everything he own in Nigeria.

It's sickening and disgusting to see honestly. Ask these same guys if they have 24 hour light, standard schools and hospitals or if they can take a stroll late at night in a safe environment. No. They are here defending a POLITICIAN.

Nigerians deserve the crap leaders they get. They have just started, they should continue.

As an employee of any organisation, all you are entitled to is Salary and so called allowances or benefits. How much salary can somebody earned to have all these

" He added that he had a flat purchased through mortgage financing worth £450,000 in the United Kingdom, another worth £1.95m, purchased through mortgage in the UK and another house worth $1.5m in the United States of America."

This is pure greed. Who is going to enjoy all these proceeds of corruption which he left behind now yet he is the only one who is going to face God to explain all these wealth. In some saner climate, the government will take over all these assets
There are some incentives that can push up your earnings in multi nationals . Profit sharing/ bonus is one of such. For instance, if the percentage is 10% of the profits running into billions of dollars per annum , you know how much it will be . Then don't forget he declared 2 companies as his own personal companies. So add it and you will have at least something to add up
