Hello guys, please I keep getting ABS fault, handbrake signal fault then a danger STOP and triangle like Fault on my Peugeot 407, also when drivin and I applied the brake, I get a noisy screech, then I noticed the park sensor doesn’t work anymore. Please what can be the problem, I am to take it to mechanic tomorrow and I don't want them to do a guess work on the and cause another unforeseen damage.

Attach is d image of the error showing on d dash board.

Ikenna351, gambus007 please help me.

Then this danger STOP sign

Thank you
Surely one or more abs sensors are bad, first thing to do is to look for someone with Diagbox (PP2000) to reveal the fault codes stored in the car's memory....post it here.

MEETING PEUGEOT 306 GTI-6 FOR THE FIRST TIME

Sometime late last year or few months ago, I was on Garki to Maitama expressway in my D9 V6 (I was gunning for it though). Then a Peugeot 306 hatchback joined the expressway from service lane in front of me and took off wildly. The way the car zoomed off got my attention, as the car kept fading away. So, I downshifted to 3 and left it there. By the time I shifted up to 4, I was already directly behind the 306. I didn't overtake because I only wanted to see the badge. Lo & behold, it was GTI-6. The very first time I saw one flesh and blood. So, I reduced my speed and the car varnished from my sight seconds later.

I was really impressed and still is. I didn't know the NA 2.0 liter XU10J4RS engine could be this quick in 306 (read about it in the past, but experience is different from words). At 165hp & 193 Nm power on 1,215 kg , I would love to test drive one someday. The fact that it comes only with 6-speed manual as standard makes it more interesting for someone like me. And I love revvy engines.

I saw the same car a 2nd time around Zone 7, I think. If you are the owner of the lion and you are reading this, I congratulate and respect. For others who want fun 6-speed stick-shift hatchback lion, you can also consider Peugeot 306 GTI-6, if you can find one. I have seen few 306 with XU10J4R, incase you want one if you can't find the GTI-6.

Ikenna351, good day sir. I intend buying toyota avensis verso or mitsubishi grandis for transport. But after reading so many comments and the way you have defending this lion is out of this world (very constructive). So, iv decided to consider if Peugeot can be used for transport. Iv made a research and found Peugeot 807 a seven seater. how reliable is the car? Is there any other seven seater you can recomend? Like how much can i get the 807 seven seater? Thanks. Also add my no 08039154846 to the lion WhatsApp group.

Ikenna, how true is the below statement from another thread concerning Peugeots with auto transmission:
''When it develops gearbox problem real wahala don start o becouse the brain box attached to the gear box is custom made for it,thus replacing the gearbox becomes a very big problem(for the automatic version)''.

Automatic transmission is not as reliable as the manual gear. You need to be aware that automatic gear requires special maintenance(changing of recommended gear oil at recommended mileage covered). I have friends who drives 407,307,308 and 508 with automatic transmission with no issue. If you desire Peugeot car with auto transmission then you should be ready for cost of maintenance and REPLACEMENT when it fails. embarassed embarassed embarassed .. as per brainbox question, i dont really know much about that but if you want a car with good auto gearbox go for Toyota it's less of electrical driven.

ive never encountered a failed gearbox in all my years of car ownership from American to European (the only Japanese was an 05 pilot). Are you saying the auto transmission in the 407 (‘09-‘10) completely useless or if I use original fluids (as usual) then I won’t have a problem at least for three - five years of ownership ?

Ps; a friend totaled his transmission (Toyota Camry pencil light) with Abro so I know the importance of using only original fluids

Some people say Peugeot auto gears are not reliable, i don't have one of it and never brought any of it(auto) my Peugeot 307 and 308 both are manual gear. However i have stated it in my previous post that i have friends who have/had Peugeot with auto gear without any issue of whatsoever but they maintain it accordingly(recommended oil been used). i can't assure you ,if you will experience issues or faults in regard to your Peugeot auto gears. Contact ikenna(lion king) for better explanations. He will definitely answer to your call. chat him up via WhatsApp.

I bought my Peugeot 306 automatic since 2009 and never experienced gear issues until last September. I actually want to replace the gear with direct Belgium but not sure of the reliability.
Ikenna hardly responds like before. I hear he charges consultation fees now.

arrogance won’t allow him reply you, he has no workshop though but you can contact him through whatsapp then pay his consulting fee of 10 or 25k (not sure it’s yearly but I recommend it if your car is high end)

Beware of "no workshop" mechanics. It's like buying a phone outside shop in computer village
