100 level first semester, I had 4.04 GPA then in second semester instead of going up, I dropped to 3.53 GPA reason being that I faced some personal challenges, bringing my 100level Cgpa to 3.83

I'm just happy that I never had any carry over in my first and second semester 100level.

Is it still possible to graduate with a first class from 200level to final year, 400level.
This has been bothering me because I really need a first class to source for full scholarship to further my studies abroad.

Bro i can clearly say u are a uniben student..and you should know in university of benin we use the percentage grading system...so 100 level should be like 10%

If your course is 5 years it should be like this

100 level -10%
200 level- 15%
300 level- 20%
400 level- 25%
500 level -30%


4 years

100-10%
200-20%
300-25%
400-35%


So it is still possible to make first class...a gp of 3.8 is 7.6%....

Where you shouldn't joke with is when you get to the last two levels...

The truth is, someone who makes C grades in GST courses has very low chances of making even 2.1 self. You haven't even start doing courses In your field.

It's hell possible mehn, only if you're ready to give all what it takes. Double your preparation, hate B grade like D, avoid all sets of mistake that once came your way. Set a very high target for yourself with relevant preparation.

And lastly, avoid marijuana like death trap.

Well, it’s possible if you have As all through 200 and 300L. Then maintain both As and Bs in your final year.
The truth is if you have As in all your 200L courses you will still stay below first class (assuming you offer same credit units in 200L).
Maintaining As in all 300L courses and maybe one or two Bs should push you to First class.
Then you just have maintain your first class in the final year.
It’s gonna be very hard but possible

It's very much possible especially for a 5year course. However you may need to borrow some courses which you must pass at A to be able to comfortably position yourself in first class for a 4year course.

Sorry man, I wasn't going to make you believe what's obviously impossible for you. If anybody tell you otherwise, Forget it. If first class grade was that easy, Everyone will have it. 98.6 % of this people advising you had lower than 2.1.

I am not a child, neither am l an illiterate... a graduate in civil engineering from a university. The dominant of a first class result is always distinctions... that your 100 level result supposed to be cleared in As, the least B you can have is one or two so as to achieve your target... year three & four is one of the craziest years. ESP year 3 ... more complicated problems.. I can see you are a science student & it’s obvious to me that result is 2nd semester result... the least you supposed have at the end of your 100 level if you’re after first class should be between 4.6 to 4.7. But you never asked, why? Dos & donts & etc. but Rather throwing stones. Continue..

First class should be the least of your problems, build your connection, first class is worthless without a job.

As an authority in the strong first class region...First class still get levels sef....I would advice you to follow these...

1. Study smart!...It's not all about going to library and reading so hard...I never used the library last semester...

2. The internet is your friend to assist you reinforce concepts and topics...I relied on the more last semester...YouTube precisely plus other contents on Google

3. I am jovial and still have time for other things aside academics...Pursuing a professional certification and heavily advancing my web development skill...This clearly shows that I am versatile, and multi-task yet pursue excellence...

4. If you must be a first class material, you must roll with the best in your dept and beyond...Healthy competition with like minds to get A's in all your courses!!...For me, a B, gets me depressed....

5. A first class material must aim for the very best....I am confident of coning out the best...Set unreasonable targets and work towards them...Push yourself beyond the limits...

6. Find what works best for you...In terms of study...For me, I don't stress myself so much...I experimented last semester with my GP....How did I do it? I basically slept days to exams!!...When everyone was at the library doing overnight...I still cam out strong...It could have been 5.0......Got 4.74 GP.....In my dept, girls are killing 5.0 like water!!...So, I am in an environment where I have no option but to up my game....Let me drop my 0en at this point...

Yes you can ,if you stop having more than 2Bs per semester.I know of two guys in my school then who started with 3.8 but graduated with first class .So better plan now how to eliminate Bs and Cs in your result.For now relax your mind ,our politicians are still siphoning our money in pretence of COVID -19 saying they to not want you to achieve your dream .But God pass them

You are wrong. It is possible to graduate with a first class even without being in first class in 100level, whether A or B.

It's not rocket science to know that to get first class, one needs more A grades than B
