I'm not related to this girl don't know why her demise is really paining as in my chest has being very heavy physically since yesterday, it could be that I've being monitoring her progress ever since they were first commissioned in 2017. NAF has spent nothing less than N70m to train her to the level she is this is same for her colleagues that were sent for flight training across the globe. This is a testament to the quality of (wo)men in NAF, no arm of service in Nigeria match this feat.
Life is really unfair. e dey be me like say her village people activate 5g network because it's so unbelievable. The person that hit her accidentally will have this guilt in his/her heart till death.
Very painful something.

Felt the same way bro ...!

Yes @Jarrel, media fanfare increases threats to the pilots both ethno-tribal enemies and long time foes.
The circumstances of the incident must be thoroughly investigated.

I know an orderly, that was picked for NDA interview, he informed his oga, when it was approaching the date for the interview, the oga ordered for the guy to be locked up in the guard room, saying so he too wants to be an officer.

Nda interview? Lmaooo, biko lie another lie.

And how is this a lie? When you don't know about something or you aren't sure, you ask questions, it's the smart thing to do, so you become intelligent.

Maybe it's SSC (Short service Combatant) interview the said orderly was invited for.
It's at NDA(old site) interview and training is conducted.

Army authorities have ordered the withdrawal of all their men from checkpoints across the country.
This a welcomed development, it makes no sense for soldiers to be doing Police/Civil defence work. The only issue is that the police is rotten and may even worsen the problem. Some of them have being praying for this for a longtime, so that they can takeover, many of them go drive Benz this December.

On the brink of war: The Libyan parliament gave Egypt a green light to enter into conflict

Egypt and Turkey were on the brink of a real war in Libya - the country's parliament gave Cairo a green light to intervene in the conflict, writes Al-Masdar (AMN).

Had it being we have a disciplined Police force the story might have being different. You can't really blame the military for withdrawing their men, they don't even have enough, the one they're managing is stretched out to elastic limit all over the country.
It's only commonsensical for them to concentrate their manpower in areas of serious threat (NE) if not the gains they've made will be brought to nought. If there is anything apart from infrastructure we need to fix in this country, is The Police. How a once respected institution fell from Grace to Grass ought to be a PhD research topic, it's just like we deliberately selected the worst of us in the society to join the police. There are very good Cops but they're in the minority.

Good news. Sometimes I wonder how much speed a reversing car would have to kill someone. Few months ago, a battalion commander in Benue was also killed by his friend's reversing car. Intelligent folks are raising eyebrows.

This story made yesterday very sad for me, nothing made me happy. I also kind of pity that ex-classmate, out of youthful excitement made a very rash and terrible decision. Now his/her life is dainted whether in jail or not. How will the person get that event out of his/her mind, it could even unprovoked attacks on him/her and could lead to sucide

AIR TASK FORCE OF OPERATION LAFIYA DOLE DESTROYS BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS’ CAMP, NEUTRALIZES SCORES OF FIGHTERS IN MASSIVE AIR STRIKES AT NGWURI GANA IN BORNO STATE
Home
Airforce
In continuation of the sustained offensive against terrorist elements in the North-East of the Country, the Air Task Force of Operation LAFIYA DOLE yesterday, 15 July 2020, destroyed a Boko Haram Terrorists’ (BHTs’) Camp and neutralized several of their fighters in massive air strikes executed at Ngwuri Gana along the Gulumba Gana – Kumshe axis in the Northern part of Borno State. The operation was carried out on the heels of Human Intelligence reports indicating that the settlement was one of the locations from where the BHTs launch attacks against own troops’ positions and villages around the general area of Kumshe. Aerial surveillance missions also confirmed the heavy presence of a large number of BHTs in the settlement, some of whom were seen slinging their rifles.
The Air Task Force therefore launched coordinated attacks on the various targets within the settlement, employing an enhanced force package of Nigerian Air Force (NAF) fighter jets and helicopter gunships. The attack aircraft took turns in engaging the designated locations within the settlement, scoring devastating hits which led to the destruction of several structures, including the Communication Centres, as well as the neutralization of several terrorists.
The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, commends the Air Task Force for their dedication, dexterity and professionalism. The Defence Headquarters equally urges them to intensify the air offensive against the terrorists and all other criminal elements threatening the peace and security of our beloved country.

it's a plausible scenario.

eye brow raising but still very possible.

anything could have gone wrong. a presumably simple mistake could switch things up real quick.

it's sad.

I was watching the Ctv news and they reported multiple attacks in Maiduguri, particularly an attack on 33 Artillery Brigade Maiduguri .

When Chad kicked out Boko from thier territory it was rubbished here. But Boko have clearly relocated and it's in our own backyard.

The expected decimation of Boko seems yet to have happened. We can post as many news clips and videos of Boko getting kicked in the head and uprooted.

But it is not translating to what is happening on the ground. Large parts of Borno are not in the control of the state. There is no Propaganda and or spin that can hide the facts.

Why don't we swallow our pride and stop posturing it's apparent that we are struggling to cope.

If Boko can attack for several hours 33 Artillery brigade. That means an all out attack on Maiduguri is no longer unthinkable but being planned.

And for those thinking that when we eventually get those over hyped and over priced A29's, it's game over for Boko. That's DELUSION.

God forbid Boko enter the huge metropolis of Maiduguri. You can't bomb anywhere because there will be too many civilians and they will not be allowed to leave. It will have to be house to house and door to door fighting with troops on the ground. That will be bloody.

BHt attacked 33Artillery brigade and the Shoot out lasted 1 hour cos NAF backed them up. Secondly when the Tucano Comes it's not going to end the war but will be a game changer.when Chad launched Op Boma Anger We didn't rubbish anything we were just oppositing The Over Hyping Maybe cos they Spear headed it.

The Nigerian military was established to serve Nigerians; and as a bonafide Nigerian citizen and a tax payer I have every right to condemn the excessive nonsensical criticism of our military, especially when you use public telecomms data for such innuendoes grin.

In advanced countries citizens don't critique their militaries irresponsibly and nag when disciplinary action is being taken against erring officers
. It is only in a third world country that chicken men like yourself are programmed to think in a certain way, no wonder nothing ever seen to be working in climates that host your likes. Lol, so you are abroad abi cheesy

Rather than come with a sensible rebuttal you delved into fallacy of false equivalence.

Considering your claims regarding advanced countries, where did you get that idea from

Advanced country l would presume to mean countries like the USA, UK and Germany, etc

I know of a mother who sued the British army for wilful negligence when her son died, and she
won the case.

I can assure you that the levels of blatant corruption that we have seen for decades in Nigeria you will not find in advance countries.

Many of the actions of our Generals would see them court martialed donkeys ago. Considering what he has been charged for in Nigeria that will not even get to become news.

You have no idea what you are talking about. It's better to be silent and thought to be wise than speak and thought to be hmmm.
