This was my thought process in this pandemic. ... was quite surprise to see maybe not on this thread but other student thread once you voice that really we are in a pandemic then you are the enemy

The only thing that matters is how someone wants to travel, o my scholarship is what you see .... really is that priority. You travel tomorrow and get covid as your journey through and die. What exactly was the point then. Safety first . The priority shouldn't really be visa or education . I know everyone has great dreams and have made plans but for a minute think. ......... you are so right , the country people want to run USA, UK etc are struggling to manage the virus . Those death numbers from the virus are not made up. They are real figures . But hey people only want to hear what they want to hear not necessarily what the reality so me I don't even put mouth . To each itsown. life is a teacher itself
while I understand your point. You cannot neglect the fact that opening of international airspace right now would not lead to the rise of our COVID cases. Alot of european countries has opened their borders and still have the Coronavirus under control.

Time will tell... Spain and France are seeing a surge since they open their borders

I don't just know why Nigerians dont really set their priority right. America herself is still trying hard to contain the virus damage and here in Nigeria youth are only concern about achieving their selfish interest. If the airspace is open, and and people clamoring of travelling leave the country what about the hundreds of thier family member left behind in the country. Everyone should know that the virus is still very much around even if you are not too aware of that because of the peculiarity of Africa nations of lack of statistics taking. DONALD TRUMP just understood the effect of the virus yesterday and he has now made a u-turn of him down playing the virus. Please let all be patriotic and be considerate for once. Consider that funding, scholarships only existed when there is life. America no dey run away!!!

This post is uncalled for. Not now! I know you must be in the US to post this. Those outside the US are the ones crying now because everything seems to favor those in the US (at least for now). Who is selfish here? I advice that you watch what you say for now. People have a lot at stake presently. And don't forget that their concerns can't make embassies open (if you are afraid of that).

My own definition of selfishness is when someone is praying earnestly to have his classes online, get his stipends paid and enjoy his life with his girlfriends, to the detriment of those that are coming behind.

Something he wouldn't have prayed for if faced with either the option of leaving the States or pay out of his pocket.

Please, stop talking down on people.

Well, you are very noticeable. I have a feeling you crave attention too. If not, why will you come here to repeat the same thing all the time. Every year, people criticize BB naija watchers, what is the point? They should rest abeg.
I digress. I think you are a hypocrite too, just like the rest of us, sinner criticizing sinner. Ask yourself, is any of your decision and action since the beginning of the pandemic only aimed at 'staying alive'? Have you been working?, saving?, investing? Making retirement plans? Before the pandemic, humans have been making conscious effort to stay alive, and still achieve great things in the process. The people that want to travel are just being human. And when we clamour for the Airspace to be open, it is bigger than a mere nairaland thread. Nigerians are stuck all over the world with expired Visas, or Visas that will soon expire,
some are stranded, their plan was to go for a short holiday and they left here with limited resources. But screw them, they should just shut the hell up and stay alive

You don't have to agree with me neither do I have to agree with you. However to make it a personal mission to come for my comment , frankly It to ignore but you are noticed

That I made a similar comment, what does that have to do with craving attention. For years different comments have been made. Even answering student questions that has been asked repeatedly . That too is craving attention in faceless anonymous forum...smh

Go and find something else to do. Trump is not ready to open the damn embassy for you to run to. Schools are still trying to open themselves.

Just forget this 2020. Look forward to 2021/2022.

Covid isn't that deadly for younger population. Most people here will get it and survive. If you don't travel, before a vaccine comes you probably will have gotten it anyways.
The world is opening up and all those traveling aren't stupid.

Yea right.

It even seems those that have gotten it and recovered might still have some associated issues later on. Just don't get it.

See, Akpabio is sharing all the NDDC project among National Assembly members, Ngige and Falake Dey throw jabs for hearing.

You better go and watch TV and see when Nigeria will finally drown so you can move to Niger republic, I heard Ghana don’t want Nigerians either.

Forget 2020. Trump is not opening any embassy for you.

Please guys , I have an issue on my WAEC certificate error of both DOB and name .

Name Olaolu instead of Olaoluwa
DOB 21/01/ 1977 correct 20/01/1980.

I have an affidavit and correction letter from my school.

The problem is can I send this alone to WES because I was told at the Waec office that only my certificate (with error ) would be send to Wes. Please how can I solve this

The truth that people dont want to hear will be what they will come back to settle for... Thanks to Sheke01. No one is blaming Europe for temporarily banning Nigerians from travelling to Europe. Unfortunately, America has given a red danger(Travel not) alert about Nigeria due to the rising cases of Corona virus. They actually dont believe the Numbers coming from Nigeria

Most of these countries have had high cases and have been able to really manage it. Nigeria that we are not even doing proper and enough testing and we didn't take lockdown seriously. We turned it to curfew smiley Now our leaders are fainting to avoid answering questions grin
