At the detriment of himself? What if his life is threatened?
A man has every right to defend himself against anybody, be it male or female.

Today, I attended a wedding ceremony. At the reception, the couple tried to maintain social distancing inside the reception hall, so there were limited seats. Most of the guests were in the open field outside. I sat behind two ladies, who should be in their mid or late twenties. I wasn't really paying much attention to them.

After a while, they left their seat and went out. After about 5 minutes two guys came, and sat down in the empty seats the ladies left. These guy are obviously in their early twenties.

About 30 minutes later, the two girls came back inside, I noticed that one of them has had a change of cloths. So obviously they went home and returned.

The girls demanded that the guys should leave the seat, because they got there first. It is their seat. As expected the guys bluntly refused. The girls started raising their voice and cursing. No one really cared to listen to them, the boys were busy consuming the drinks on the table.

One of the ladies got frustrated by the indifference of the boys, grabbed a glass of juice from the table and threw the content at the guy's face. The guy in turn opened the entire can, got up and started pouring it on the girl's head, ruining her make up and soaking her weavon.

Next thing we saw, the girl grabbed him by the collar with both hands, tearing at his skin with her nails. Before you could say Jack, the guy started raining down slaps on her face, she fought back too.

Before we could rush down, the girl had a bleeding nose and a red swollen face.

Now this is the part that particular offended me. Everyone that gathered round started heaping insult on the boy for beating up a girl, despite the fact that she initiated physical contact. Some women even went as far as threatening to arrest the boy. The entire narrative changed quickly. Some stupid men even tried to beat up the boys. I stood my ground and insisted that if anybody lays a finger on the boy, I ll see to it that everybody is kicked out of the reception.

It took the intervention of the officiating minister to calm the crowd. Everyone was insisting that he would pay for the girl's medical bills. Funny thing is that the guy had finger marks all over his neck. She was sobbing and attracting sympathy left and right, as if she was not the one barking like an animal moments earlier. In the end, it was the guys that were kicked out, the girls had the seat.

I get confused about this gender equality stuff, women want to be treated like men and treated differently at the same time. You can't claim equality only when it suits you. If it were two guys fighting, I'm sure they ll both be kicked out and nobody will spare a thought for the injured, there ll be no sobbing or comforting, it ll just be seen as two people disturbing the peace. But everyone is suddenly acting up to protect an equal specie, who is also the offender, and the females see nothing wrong in this inequality

Do you want equality or not?
Personally I respect and treat everyone equally, but if you initiate physical contact, male or female I will retaliate with the same ferocity.

Thats the reality bro, the best is to try to avoid any confrontation with them.

Has anyone ever considered why one of the ladies returned with a changed attire? What if she was stained or something caused her to go home and change?

How would you feel if you return and someone has taken your seat in a place with few seats and lots of people were outside. Did it not occur to the guys that haven seen lots of people outside, that it wasn't a miracle to find empty chairs?

OP, you too didn't try. Why didn't you avert the plenty talk and subsequent fight by informing the guys that the ladies were there earlier? But you could intervene when the matter was already out of control.

That said, the ladies could have resolved it better and not fight despite their frustration. I believe that the guys would have given up the seats if they originally belonged to someone they know was stronger than them. They obviously felt the ladies were not strong enough to challenge them.

It was an empty seat. You cannot lay the blame on the men who saw empty seats and decided to occupy it. The ladies could have expressed their interest to the ushers and even at that the ushers still have the responsibility to either relocate the men or the women. It is not the right of the women to claim seats in an event where they are guests. Bush people should learn etiquette. If I was the host I will throw the ladies out too.

The rules of engagement forbids a soldier from using force against an unarmed civilian. Now when, that civilian is armed, it makes no difference if he/she is a 11 or 90 years old, it becomes legitimate to deploy deadly force to neutralise the threat.
Once you start trading slaps or blows as a lady you have changed the rules of engagement. You are no longer seen as a lady you are an enemy combatant and a threat that needs to be neutralised for self-defense. Never use violence against a Lady but real ladies are never the aggressors.

I am not in support of what the lady did but in situations like this its better to just walk away, keeping quiet or walking away doesn't make you a coward, so many people are walking but inside they are dead, what if the lady died in the process, the wedding would have bin a disaster and he would have bin living the rest of his life in prison...

I blame this generation of our contemporary fathers. If they had learned how to check the excesses in their wives and daughters like their own fathers, and grand fathers did, we wouldn't be in this mess.

They pandered to every wimp and caprices of their women, they had no qualms trading off their son's birthrights for a whiff of the vaginas of girls half their age. In the end all they could contribute to society is raising up entitled, self-centered cùnts as daughters, and degenerate wánkers as sons whose lives and sense of worth is centered around pleasing women. These set of morons, created this misandristic monster laced as feminism that would spell the death of modern society as we know it. Our fellow men, including that fat beta ugly fùcker with greasy fingers sitting beside you right now or on your TV screen IS the problem.

He gave up jobs meant for you, to a vagina. Your inheritance and birthright, went to a vagina. The funds meant for good roads, social amenities, good health care, proper education, etc - he spent it all on a vagina.
You just earned my follow sire.

In case you do not understand what that really means, 'lady' in that context means a lady in your life... Not just any lady. If my wife decides to hit me, it would be insane for me to touch her. I would simply treat it as if it was my little daughter that's hitting daddy out of provocation. Thank God I have the most decent any man could ever have as wife.

But if any other lady outside tries physically attacking me first, I wouldn't just retaliate in kind I would also likely break her bones and leave behind an indelible mark. Just the same way I would respond to an enemy combatant. Some of you just don't get it, it is criminal to hit someone, lady or man, but it is perfectly within my right to mount a self-defense. So there is no such thing as 'never raise your hand against a lady'. If a lady tries it with me, she will live the rest of her life sharing the testimony of the scars she sustained for hitting a man.

When we say no to violence, it goes both ways. I don't mind a lady raining abuses on me, and doing any drama and stunt that the demons in her head direct her to do... sha don't touch me in any way. Because when you do, action and reaction will no longer be equal and opposite, the reaction will be several logarithm orders higher than the action provoking it. My reaction would be to altogether and permanently debilitate the attacker, man or woman. Enemy combatant.

To be fair here, the ladies were clearly at fault on all counts cos they started it. Even though another guy would have chosen to walk away. However all men are not the same. Women cant be playing the weaker sex card all the time. Agreed violence against women is shameful. But that does not give them the right to provoke a man as they please

This is not violence against women. Stop being stupid. This is a man defending himself. How do you walk away after being spilled with liquid content. What did the man do to deserved being assaulted. Defending yourself is not violence against women. If a woman is stupid enough to engage in a brawl with a man, so be it.

All men should defend themselves against nature, gender, and evil forces.

Hmmm undecided

Just consider yourself fighting with Yusuf Buhari, whether you are right or not, you will be dealt with by strong forces. That's how it plays out usually.

However, women are weaker vessels, no matter what transpires between you both, it will be perceived as if you are intentionally using naked powers on them. They will surely be listened to.

Have you considered great men that were thoroughly dealt with by women? Just because the man has bluntly refused her sex, probably in the office, and the next thing the woman would do is tear her own clothes to project rape. On this, never expect the man to be listened to. Both men and women will gather to condemn him.

The point is, women are stronger. Take it and be a man, or you leave it and be dealt with.

As you know yourself, it's an event. So the moment you left your sit without leaving anyone to guard it for you, just know your sit might be taken or changed to another place before you came back since it's not a reserved sit for a special guest.

It's common sense.
