Stargurl, them never still work the light? If they haven't make we come protest or connect directly from Aso rock to your building?

I pray Wuraola can truly keep her promise of refusing to go back to her vomit.

Is it that due to her father's illness/"dying nature", she chose a life for herself that negates her principle, or Oluwole took advantage of the fathers health to force her into something she would rather not do with the promise of helping out?

Please oooo. I need more

Episode 12

Olaniyi heard light sounds of sobs as he ambled towards Wuraola's office. He walked briskly into her office and saw her figure facing the Venetian blind window as she stared through it, while trying to suppress her sobs.

He motioned towards her looking anxious, and she spun around, flinched like a child caught in the act.

" What happened, dear? Did anyone hurt you? Tell me now and I will.....!." He said and hit his fisted hand in the air.

" N- no one has hurt me, Niyi." She retorted as more tears pricked from the coners of her eyes.

" Tell me what's wrong, Wuraola. I can't bear seeing you like this." He said as he gazed deeply into her eyes and dabbed her tears away with his thumb.

" I'm being blackmailed." She blurted out as more tears poured down her face.

" What! Who's blackmailing you?and what are you being blackmailed for?." He inquired and exclaimed.

"It's a long story."

" I'm all ears, if you're willing to share, dear."

" I-i was in year three at the University when my father had leukaemia. Mum and I sought all ways we could to get money for his chemotherapy treatment, but we couldn't. Not even from the government he served for many years..., as his pension didn't seem forthcoming. He was still at the localised stage then..., And we were advised to get money for his treatment as quick as possible, before the cancer spread to other areas of his body.

So...I...I... Had no other option than to go out with my friends on several occasions to get the money for his treatment." She narrated and paused for a while and watched his expression.

" I....was introduced to several rich men...., A-and that was how I met Oluwole. He is a son of one of the affluent politicians and a drug addict. He became so obsessed with me after our first encounter, that he didn't back off even when I blatantly said I'm no more into such filthy lifestyle." She said and her phone chimed from the middle of her desk.

She cringed as she saw the number she very well recognised even though she didn't save it. She shakily dragged the accept button, and the familiar deep voice spoke from the other end.

" I want to believe you've made a decision by now, yes....?." He spoke with hint of mockery in his raspy voice.

Olaniyi guessed whom she was speaking with the moment her expression became more timid, and took the phone from her.

" You have just seven hours left, sweetheart."

" You're fucking coward, man! Fucking threaten her again and watch me beat you to a pulp." Niyi spat and tighten his fist.

" Who are you? Her husband? Well wisher?." He asked.

" Call it whatever you want! but I dare you to call this line again and watch how you spend the rest of your miserable life in jail!" He threatened and heard him laugh sinistrously from the other end.

" Oh... You think I'm playing games, right?. Seven hours is all she has left to decide whether she's gonna be mine..., or watch as her world fall apart". He said emphasing the word 'mine'

Most marriages tend to fall apart because we forget that before we became married, we were friends. Now that her husband is beginning to accept her, this is when she would have shown her vulnerability yet she goes out to her office mate. For me I think going to Niyi was not the right move.
Thanks for the update and hope the light situation been resolved?

Episode 13

" Stop crying, Wuraola. We wouldn't want to attract other staff attentions, would we?" Olaniyi whispered soothingly as she fought back her tears.

" I...i Know this is hard, but trust me, it's the best thing to do at this point." He said motioning towards her. He became more sad, seeing how frailed the woman who gives him sleepless nights has become and he inwardly cursed Oluwole.

" You will tell your husband the entire truth before he does." He blurted staring intently at her teary eyes.

She trembled with fears and became astounded at Niyi's words, even though she had earlier contemplated on telling her husband.

" Listen, dear. I'm a man myself, and if.....if... I were in your husband's shoes, it will be more easy for me to look past your past if you told me yourself before anyone does." He revealed.

We'll have a past, you see.... and at some point in our lives, we've all made some not so ... pleasant decisions either as a result of our helplessness or ignorance.

" He gave you twenty four hours ultimatum, right?" He inquired, taking a glimpse at the large Hito clock hung on her emrald green painted office wall, and she nodded.

" Reveal all... to your husband before the time runs out."

-----------

" I love you so much, Arike mi o won ( my dearest Arike)" Maleek said on the on other end of the phone, and Biola rolled her eyes.

" Gosh! Maleek..., you've said that mutiple times." She replied with butter flies in her tummy, even though she pretended to be nonchalant.

Their relationship has grown stronger ever since she accepted to be his girlfriend. She isn't the type who would fall for sweet words, and even though she likes him a lot, she wanted to be sure that his feelings for her are truly genuine.

-----------

"Hey, handsome!" Korede hailed as he walked into Bamidele's office, and brought him back from his trance.

He's been staring at Wuraola's picture on his phone with so much admiration, that he didn't realise when he came in.

" You're smiling, dude. What's the occasion?" He asked wondering if had he won a multi-billion contract.

" It.... Nothing, Kore. I j-just." He said as he fumbled with words and beamed.

" Something is definitely wrong, Bamidele. It been a while I see you smile so genuinely."

"I...I think... I'm liking her. Hell yes! I think I love her." He confessed abruptly.

" What?! I said it, dude. Your wife is a wonderful being for you to not for in love with her. She's Wonderful just like my Kemisola." He said.

" Well... I'm happy a Casanova found love." Bamidele said and chortled.
