jayzen:the problem is those with assistantship... Will their funding still be intact because not all schools are saying same thing with this regard...I think the best is to discuss with the department and graduate school to find a buffer and common ground that will benefit both parties...some uni accept differing to spring and ensures that your funding is intact some don't give that option but requesting you enter the pool again...these pandemic created a scenario that many schools are foreign to |

This is indeed a sad situation but not hopeless. Let's just hope spring becomes feasible otherwise we all enter admission and assistantship pool again since deferment can only be done once. mvem: |

slimmy2005:the Nigerian embassy itself specifically made the announcement themselves. If embassy opens F-1 would be their priority and to say otherwise is dimwitted and baseless. They don't want new F-1 students but embassy opened in other countries where COVID-19 has been controlled?. F-1 students bring $41Billion yearly to the US, so it sure is a top priority. Quit this clownery. I have not seen you contribute any meaningful thing to this thread at all. You don't answer when people have questions. But when anyone talks about embassy opening that's when you'd come and say US has banned F1 VISA. The stupidity. 26 Likes 1 Share |

Yea really sad one but I just want you to know that you are not alone. Almost every individual in the world has had their plans altered and changed cause of this pandemic. I just want us all to be glad regardless that we all are alive. When there is life, there is hope. Those in Nigeria, those already here in US, everyone has felt the impact of this pandemic in one way or the other. Even when it looks like the troubles won’t cease, remember how far you have come and stay strong. This is just a phase. jayzen: 5 Likes |

Friedpotato:We don’t need to see who is the foolish one here. The Nigerian embassy can post whatever they want. The president decides what happens. Trump decides when the embassy opens and which one opens. This is not democrat rule, this is Trump’s America. He doesn’t freaking care about you wimps. The fact that you think you matter is laughable. Even citizens willing to bring their husbands to the country were suspended from such. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nytimes.com/2020/07/07/us/student-visas-coronavirus.amp.html Trump doesn’t fucking care about you. If the school doesn’t go in-class, you are going to them embassy to receive your rejection letter. Keep fanning your emotions. There is no US for you this 2020. I’ll be back to remind you. The earlier you accept it the better for your emotions. |

Mosminic:Embassies take directives from the White House. So if you think you will escape this year, you are the biggest clown on earth. Enjoy Buhari a little more. There is no US for you this year. |

America is dealing with pandemic, bad economy and job loss. You are talking shit about embassy opening. Lol. No VISA for you till 2021. LOL. https://ng.usembassy.gov/health-alert-u-s-mission-nigeria-07282020/ You think Trump will allow your bald head come into the US 1 Like |

slimmy2005:if you were smart and had little modicum of sense in you, you will know that the USCIS has since started a phased resumption of embassy due to conditions in each countries and this has nothing to do with Trump. Trump's focus in winning re-election, not keeping tabs on the 196 countries to see which and which he'd stifle. Every country that has gotten this under control has opened embassy, even south Korea. If your school doesn't go in-class, then there's not need going to the embassy. That's a known fact and has nothing to do with the incessant gobbledegook you constantly spew. And how does citizens bringing their spouses affects F1 VISA that brings $41B. The two statements are unconnected, it's evident you're a hopeless troll. It's more logical to say embassies might not open this year because cases in Nigeria might keep rising and not be kept under control, but to say they'd open and not attend to F-1 VISA is nothing but utter stupidity. 25 Likes 1 Share |

I honestly cannot understand why some people’s Emotional intelligence is almost non existent. It’s really sad and heartbreaking. Joking with suicide. Intentionally being cynical. Faceless people trying to score points against each other in the bid to sound intelligent. O ga ooo! Stevenssen: 4 Likes |

Okay. You have the right to your own views. Others have the right to theirs. If people want to stay positive and be hopeful, inspite of all the 'very helpful' information you've shared, how does it concern you? Why are you so passionate about this? Sigh. slimmy2005: 8 Likes |

I feel really sorry for you. Who hurt you? Why are you so cynical and bitter? Like what’s the point to all of these? Sending love and light your way. I hope you find peace. The pressure of the pandemic is getting to the best of us but we are not letting it turn us into little monsters. Let’s all just calm down. It’s really not this serious. slimmy2005: 12 Likes |

You may have to think hard about that. Luckily, my school made fall 2021 the only deferral option. But I would have still decided on it since I'm not enamored about the idea of resuming in Spring, especially since the degree I'm pursuing requires a lot of networking, and I did not want to stress any further about this issue if it drags till spring. Moreover, I felt the extra one year would give me the chance to make more money, get another job or pursue some opportunities. Just factor in your threshold for uncertainty and unwarranted stress. jayzen: 4 Likes |

slimmy2005: This guy is just typing Thrash. Even the link he shared didn't convey any of the nonsense he kept saying. I think this thread is derailing from the good old days with someone like this. Maybe Twood and co should reply us than this clown. Twood always give factual statement but I dont know where this person is seeing the thrash he is telling us. I'm glad you are not in charge of embassy opening and whether they like, they should open embassy and if they dont like they should not open it we will not die. Maybe you should contest for the next US president since it is your country now and cancel F1 outrightly because that's what every statement of yours portray. With people like this, I think it is time to start looking away from this thread after many years. 10 Likes |

Good day my people, I have error on my WAEC cert. the error is on Name and DOB. Instead of olayinka I have Yinka Instead of 20/04/1985 I have 21/04/82. I tried correcting this but I was told Waec don’t issue certificate twice, I got a letter of correction from my secondary school signed and stamp with swear affidavit from court. The problem is Wes said they will only acknowledge what comes from Waec even if I send the correction letter and affidavit that it doesn’t matter and Waec said they will send only my certificate with the said errors. And they can’t issue certificate twice even if I want to correct the error a woman there told me it’s not accepted anymore since last year Please my people I need help on this how can I go about this can I do another WAEC or GCE I feel it won’t be accepted because it’s recent unlike the other one . Your help and advice will be appreciated |

LagosismyHome: My dear, if you can't say the truth, stay out of this. You were quite comfortable when he called people "bald" ba? You were comfortable when he used abusive words on those who are hoping that embassy will open soon, you did not call him to order, but you want me to be silent now because of what?? I know the US embassy opening this year is 50/50. It is not about what I don't want to hear, I'm not looking for visa. It is because he became errant and idiotic. If you want to join him, you can tell me so that I can fold my sleeve for both of you. 23 Likes |

olaadesie:You can try ECE for your evaluation. Send all documents with it. ECE only need WAEC scratchcard and your details. |
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by Friedpotato: 12:46pm On Jul 31, 2020 |
RemarkableMind:don't try ECE, they will suck your GPA. Unless you don't need a high GPA for the admission and or scholarship. That was how I wasted 90K to do evaluation. WES gave me 3.1 using their calculator, ECE gave me 2.5. The thing about ECE is just that it's fast, everything was done within a week. If you don't really need the GPA and your WAEC grades are high. You can use it. 6 Likes |
