I've never experienced idle battery drain on any ROM I'm on. Even if I leave it for 2 days without pressing it and without turning Airplane mode on.

Even me, I've been wondering where this percentage drops come from overnight. I've never experienced such.

Lol. I have been away from MIUI since 2018 and I don't think it's changing anytime soon.

I just want to use my phone the way I want without limitations. It's not necessarily about customisation.

If you want clean ROM without customisation, try lineage OS
Local man no fit do without customization now grin

Finally solved my battery drain issues by flashing inception 6.2 kernel. The battery lasts longer and miui12 which lagging is not buttery smooth like miui11.

My SOT before flashing inception. Even my hot 3 with 3000mah battery never had such a poor SOT.

Battery still sucks tho, that Meme 12 beta has terrible battery performance..8 hrs SOT is unacceptable, when you aren't gaming ...

If you can manage the battery life as it is then no worries, but on Meme 11 the difference is too clear

This the most shocking. Without flashing a kernel, the SOT of the rom without gaming is 6hrs. Absolutely horrible.


But for me present SOT is worth it for miui12. It has blown me away with it's UI and customization. This is my first custom rom since 4 years now so I'm still a little excited.

1. Install custom recovery like twrp.

telegra .ph/How-To-Flash-Recovery-11-10

Then reboot to TWRP recovery

2. Take a twrp backup of System, Vendor, Data and Boot ( optional, for safety )
3. Select Wipe >> Advance Wipe and wipe system, vendor, data and cache
4. Flash the Latest ION ROM
5. Reboot system after completion (DO NOT FLASH MAGISK NOW)
6. If you want to flash Magisk then reboot to recovery after first boot and flash Magisk

undecidedFlash fastboot ROM. Don't relock ur bootloader if you don't want to see 'system is destroyed'
sad RN8 PRO is not meant for tweaking except u r a super guru in tweaking. Not for JJC. I doubt if any1 can assist you here in case a disaster happens
kissI advise you to get a Xiaomi phone with Snapdragon processor if you like to tweak

You don't need to unlock bootloader to install gcam on redmi note 7 and above.
