FYsol:
Considering your age. His support will play little to no assistance at this point because the only visa you can apply for is a visitor visa and the decision will be based solely on your economic circumstances.
Except if he can come down to Nigeria to marry you.

pls someone shd respond to my request tx

What happened to her age? her husband to be can sponsor her traveling expenses if he has all necessary requirements, there is no way she can not get a visting visa, if she can prove that the man is her fiancé and gets letter of invitation from him and have a good SOAm She still stands the chances of getting visiting. The same way husband's sponsors their wife and kids to the UK for vacation.

Visiting visa is not the only visa she can apply for. She can apply for marriage visa with proof of getting married in the UK. Once she is giving, she travels to UK and come bk to Nigeria after they get married in the UK. So, when she comes back she apply for spouse visa. On the other hand, if the fiancé can come to Nigeria, better! they get married in recognized registry, then she apply for spouse visa, she will be given 2.5 years, and she is permitted to work with her spouse visa.

Thirdly, she can apply for fiancé visa, she gets all the necessary requirements of coming to the UK to get married. Proof of wedding venue in the UK, proof of registry to use in the UK, just relevant proof that she is coming to the UK to get married. On the other hand the husband have to show proof that he can support her while in the UK. The spouse must be earning £18,600 yearly, six months payslips, accommodation, tendency agreement, and letter from land lord/lady that his/her house can accommodate the both of you. If the spouse have morgage, he needs to show evidence, evidence of statement of account showing six months salaries received, letter from HR to show proof that the spouse is working in the company. If the spouse is self employed he needs all relevant documents from his business and finance statement for one year or two years and accountant report. @ Oviehene needs to know from his fiancé the one that he can do. He has to goggle through the diff routes. They have CAT A, CAT B, CAT F and through saving route. His fiance have to know the one he wants to use as proof of financial requirement.
They need to show proof of relationship i.e pictures taking together, WhatsApp chat, phone calls, exchange emails, registry weddings pictures and marriage certificate, proof of status in the uk, either British or indenfite leave to remain.

Proof of English. The partner have to write exams to proof her English, or better if she has a degree certificate taught in English, she can apply to Naric with her degree certificate and transcript. Naric verifies the certificate and send proof, so she can use it to apply. She will need to do TBC test.

Please note;- All these requirements are also needed in spouse visa. For spouse visa she pays for NHS while for fiancé visa she doesn't pay, until she wants to apply for spouse visa (FlR) in the UK she pays for NHS.

As soon as she gets all these proofs, she can then apply for fiancé visa/ spouse visa. Fiancé visa gives her six months to come to the UK and get married, after her marriage bf the six months expires, she applys for spouse visa(FLR). Under fiancé visa, she can not work with it until she gets her spouse visa.

Cc: @Ovieohene: The choice is yours. It all depends on your fiancé pocket.

The amount you will pay for spouse visa is up to £3000. The visa fees is about £1500 or £1200, the NHS fees is about £1200 or there about, the TBS is 58k, the Naric might be 68k, the registry fees depends on the one u can afford. Please try to goggle the right amount of all these fees bc fees changes.

My advice if your spouse can come to Nigeria then u guys get married and apply for spouse visa straight away. u can work with it. But if he can not come to Nigeria, just apply for fiancé visa. Better than marriage visa, to avoid you the stress of coming bk to Nigeria. In the fiancé visa you spend more. You can go to Nairaland spouse visa and read as much as u can bf making y choice. All the best

Very detailed. I was also wondering what the first commenter meant by her age. What has age got to do with visa or marriage? I don't see any.

Good morning house. Please is there a way to change something on an already submitted ukvi application? So on the form, I wrote I want to travel in October, but it looks like airport will be open before then. Is there a way to change it? I haven't submitted my documents at TLS though? What do you advise please?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by ovieohene: 9:25am On Aug 07, 2020
famzynet:

What you will need is a marriage visitor Visa. It's about £95 and expires after 6months. You will have to submit documents to prove long term relationship between two of you. Two of you will have to get married within 6months of being in the UK. He will have to show evidence that he can support you or you show evidence that you can support yourself financially. He must be a British citizen.
@famzynet TX so much. still need more update pls.

Those of you that have gotten Tier 2 visas post July 27th. What is the occupation you got the visa for? Cos i feel like they expedite applications for those in the medical & health field.

I don't think occupation does make it faster. I'm a doctor, and they are yet to return my passport.

Asides the paid mail or phone call to ukvi, is there any other way to know about visa application status? I've been at "application received by DMC since March. I sent a mail, ukvi said a decision is yet to be made.

I guess @monmarri is more experienced in this space than I do. I'm happy you've got the details you need. What I meant by age is it is difficult for an adult to proof some else is sponsoring your visitor visa going by my line of thought. I wish you all the best

Yes, application is open for all visa categories. You can submit your biometrics at any tlscontact centre in Nigeria after booking an appointment. For the visa fee check the gov.uk website for the category you wish to apply under

It’s not a big deal and doesn’t take time. First option is for him to email the sch and they will change the length of the CAS via a electronic system( takes within 1-3days depending on the institution). Second option is to go ahead and apply for one year and have it rectified by the schools V.I.S.A. Office upon arrival.

Hope the above information helps

Good day everyone. I want to change my proposed travel date but I have submitted my form online. I havent gone to TLS though. Is there anything I can do to correct this? Also, how does Keep my passport work? and how many days after I am told to submit my passport do I get it back?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Ameey: 11:47am On Aug 09, 2020
Keep My Passport When Applying

This service allows you to keep your passport the maximum possible time during the visa decision process.

The basic points of this service are:
1, you still need to bring your passport to your appointment, but it will be given back to you before you leave the Visa Application Centre.
2, once the decision of your visa application has been made by the UK Visas and Immigration, you will be notified by email, then you need to provide your passport to the Visa Application Centre (by post or in person) within 28 days. If you don’t provide your passport within this timeframe, your visa application will be refused.
3, once received, we aim to complete the application and return your passport within 7 calendar days.

Guys,

For the purpose of UK application, what is the date of application, especially in respect to validity of bank statements. Is it the date of payment for the visa or the date of documentation at TLS?

Your date of application is the date you submit your application and pay your visa fee. Payment has to be made within some hours of submission otherwise, the application gets cancelled.
