Thanks Oga .... I’ve gone to see (Mr Harold) and meet the other guy. Was suppose to pick him up by 5pm this evening to go and show the flat but something else came up. Forgot to collect there contact. If you can help me tell the guy not to wait for me....and if you can source the number for me that would be much appreciated. Thanks again ..

Awaiting your WA message, to receive number......

A friend of mine in Saudi keeps saying I will regret not opening domiciliary account if I relocate to UK.Can someone throw more light if one may regret not opening a domiciliary account in Nigeria before relocation to UK? If it is necessary, which currency is better( dollar account or pounds).
Thanks.

From experience, I have had both dollar and pound account in Nigeria for over 10 years and I have only used it once, not because I needed to but because a friend needed to make a payment and that was even when I was in Nigeria. So personally, ko need.

Register with HCPC through the international route while ur in Nigeria, if successful, you can apply for jobs to come to the U.K.

Hello sir, I'm a microbiologist. I'm not eligible to register. You wrote somewhere that microbiologists may need to do some top up modules to become a biomedical scientist. Then subsequently register for HCPC. Pls put me through

Send me a PM please

Is the PM same as sending an email? I’m not sure how private messaging works on Nairaland but I’ve sent an email request anyways.

However, I don’t have access to the email I signed up to Nairaland with, if that’s going to be a challenge.

Is there an alternative means of reaching you? Perhaps your business number that’s already in the public domain somehow?
Re: Living In The Uk/life As A UK Immigrant by omopapa: 6:22pm On Aug 06, 2020
Yes u are right, if u can register with medical lab council in Nigeria that will boost ur chances of getting registered with HCPC. I learnt to register with MLSCN u have to do another 2 years in uni if ur degree wasn’t MLS.

Alternatively, apply for topup modules in the U.K.

I got a failure delivery notice for your email. If you don’t mind dropping your business number or alternative email. Mine is not too public. The last time I dropped it I got a few strange visitors. Kindly bear with me.

Yeah, I did mention I don’t have access to that email anymore. I’m not a business person, lol.
It’s a shame there’s no alternative means of connecting with each other.

That said, Nairaland really needs to improve and plug in new functionalities. It’s failed to add any new thing since I’ve first come across it some 13 years ago. Who knows if it’s deliberate though? Or perhaps due to the absence of any competing product in the same space?

Erdington:
I have lived in Birmingham, for 18years now. It depends on what you are looking for, closeness to place of work etc that determines where you live. I lived in Erdington for 4 years, moved to Alum Rock, then to Nechells, then to Newtown and i now live in Selly Oak. As finances improve and family needs, it helps to determine how and where you move to.

I personally will avoid Alum Rock, Nechells & Newtown to live, based on my experience, but if that is what your finances can accommodate, then live there. Another suggestion is Walsall, a lot of people have moved there, its just 15 mins by train to Birmingham city centre.

Many thanks for this, based on my little research the area I will be looking at will be Solihull or Edgbaston. Hope i spelt it right. Mostly the former. What can you tell me about these areas?

**** POINT OF CORRECTION ***

Back to our goat meat with skin discussion...... I just asked my Oga at the Top, how this skinned goat meat, made it's way into the pot of soup.......

I was made to understand it was a sacrificial goat, that was killed and roasted (the 9ja way), from a farm far away in the United Kingdom....... cheesy

Good morning mama. Wana send something to naija urgently but it’s less than 10kg. Do you render this service ? Air cargo preferably. Thanks.

Well Samis online sells goat meat with skin on their website. It’s smoked though. Duno if that applies.

Went to check it out 14.99 for 1kg ........ someone must really love the skin to pay that price for 1kg . Goat usually less than £5 per kg so this not just double but triple the price

After someone mentioned them here I tried them out on Sunday and I wasn’t impressed. Typical Naija mentality going on there. Sent me the wrong item and I had to speak English before they agreed to refund me cost of postage to send back. This was after telling me to ‘try’ the wrong item sent to see if I liked it.

I will jejely stick with my Wosiwosi.
