A friend of mine in Saudi keeps saying I will regret not opening domiciliary account if I relocate to UK.Can someone throw more light if one may regret not opening a domiciliary account in Nigeria before relocation to UK? If it is necessary, which currency is better( dollar account or pounds). Thanks. |
Re: Living In The Uk/life As A UK Immigrant by humblemoi: 1:47pm On Aug 06, 2020 |
famzynet: From experience, I have had both dollar and pound account in Nigeria for over 10 years and I have only used it once, not because I needed to but because a friend needed to make a payment and that was even when I was in Nigeria. So personally, ko need. 1 Like |

omopapa: Hello sir, I'm a microbiologist. I'm not eligible to register. You wrote somewhere that microbiologists may need to do some top up modules to become a biomedical scientist. Then subsequently register for HCPC. Pls put me through |

Re: Living In The Uk/life As A UK Immigrant by icon8: 6:15pm On Aug 06, 2020 |
Mamatukwas: Is the PM same as sending an email? I’m not sure how private messaging works on Nairaland but I’ve sent an email request anyways. However, I don’t have access to the email I signed up to Nairaland with, if that’s going to be a challenge. Is there an alternative means of reaching you? Perhaps your business number that’s already in the public domain somehow? |
Re: Living In The Uk/life As A UK Immigrant by omopapa: 6:22pm On Aug 06, 2020 |
Yes u are right, if u can register with medical lab council in Nigeria that will boost ur chances of getting registered with HCPC. I learnt to register with MLSCN u have to do another 2 years in uni if ur degree wasn’t MLS. Alternatively, apply for topup modules in the U.K. Babygal2020: |

icon8: I got a failure delivery notice for your email. If you don’t mind dropping your business number or alternative email. Mine is not too public. The last time I dropped it I got a few strange visitors. Kindly bear with me. |

Mamatukwas: Yeah, I did mention I don’t have access to that email anymore. I’m not a business person, lol. It’s a shame there’s no alternative means of connecting with each other. That said, Nairaland really needs to improve and plug in new functionalities. It’s failed to add any new thing since I’ve first come across it some 13 years ago. Who knows if it’s deliberate though? Or perhaps due to the absence of any competing product in the same space? 3 Likes |

**** POINT OF CORRECTION *** Back to our goat meat with skin discussion...... I just asked my Oga at the Top, how this skinned goat meat, made it's way into the pot of soup....... I was made to understand it was a sacrificial goat, that was killed and roasted (the 9ja way), from a farm far away in the United Kingdom....... |

Mimzyy: Went to check it out 14.99 for 1kg ........ someone must really love the skin to pay that price for 1kg . Goat usually less than £5 per kg so this not just double but triple the price 1 Like |

LagosismyHome: After someone mentioned them here I tried them out on Sunday and I wasn’t impressed. Typical Naija mentality going on there. Sent me the wrong item and I had to speak English before they agreed to refund me cost of postage to send back. This was after telling me to ‘try’ the wrong item sent to see if I liked it. I will jejely stick with my Wosiwosi. 1 Like |
