There is nothing worse than a distrust management, The battle for the remnant of virtue left in uacn group is on. History has shown that investors have never benefited from past unbundling executed by uacn. I knew it would come to a scenario where the assets of UACN would be distributed among parties. The money paid by custodian investment was made from uacn to buy updc, the future profits from updc would be used to acquire uacn and UPDCREIT by the same group of people, all at the expense of minority investors. Nigeria is finished. The deal was perfected and consummated in 2016. This was the same way they took ETI (ecobank) away from Nigerians. Using Nigerian investors money to acquire a whole bank by foreigners without paying a kobo, due to unfaithfulness of Nigerians in authority. The same scenario had played out in uacn. A big sorry for Nigerian investors that are currently trapped in the contraption called uacn conglomerate. A sad story, packaged by aiyesimoju to prevent investors epidemic of grief. No sensible regulatory body would have sanctioned the deal. The best compensatory deal should have been the unbundling. Custodian investment group will only delist updc after recovering every single cent spent in the acquisition. This is the same fate that await Ardova investors. No dividend, no capital appreciation, investors are trapped. 100% acquisition will only take place after money spent is recovered with 1000% yield. This can only happened in Nigeria. Investors are voiceless. 10 Likes 1 Share |

How did Private Equity firms like Thermis Capital and others own substantial shares of UACN?.. It happened during the last right offer of UACN. Most shareholders did not take their right because of the dismal performance by the company and her subsidiaries, coupled with the fact that 2 years before last right, the company raised money through right which shareholders did not see any substantial return on their Investments . Thermis Capital and firms used the right offer to buy into the company to own substantial holding, Stanbic IBTC was the issuing house to the right. The current CEO of the company worked with Stanbic IBTC before he founded Thermis Capital, the private equity firm that is now a major shareholder of UACN I want to believe that the acquisition was financed by loan, hence asset stripping in order to get quick returns on their Investments. I never expected core portfolio managers to create wealth for shareholders by creating wealth through efficient management of company. The attractions are the huge assets of the company that were under utilized which the new corporate raiders are interested in converting to cash, rather than cash flow generating assets. I hope their is no relationship between the new core owners of this old conglomerate and a former CEO of the company. 7 Likes 1 Share |

GSK sold one of their businesses about 3 years ago and paid a special dividend of N7.00 per share. This corporate action made the stock price of GSK to move from N15.00 to N44.00. The best way the management of UACN will be partially forgiven by shareholders is to share proceeds of their part sale of their UPDC shares will shareholders of the company. 4 Likes |

emmanuelewumi: If they actually used loans to finance to the acquisitions, SEC should step in and stop the assets stripping. This is why I love the US SEC. They will make sure core investors turn around the company before selling off any asset. 2 Likes 1 Share |

locodemy: Loco why are you talking like this? This is NSE where anything can happen and distress coys can spring surprises. Not saying we shouldn't caution, but I think we should allow those who can take risk do so without all these negative sentiments upandan. Reminds me of TraderR (Yariya) she said once Nsempas starts badmouthing a stock, most times, taking risk in such stock "could" be worth it. 2 Likes |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by lexy2lexy: 10:09am On Aug 08, 2020 |
That is my suspicion too, I think the parent company owns Nutricima which has been using PZ Nigeria assets for production. Have they been paying compensation for using those assets over the years? As part of the deal for Nutricima, they were to sell the factory which is on PZ Nigeria’s land. I think some of these complexities led to postponement of the EGM. It will be interesting to see how this end, I sincerely hope the Nigerian shareholders are not shortchanged. X21: 1 Like |

SlahJoe:This is clear enough. Though you got answer...but let me add this: Don't use your phone camera to snap KYC docs. Use a scanning machine or a 3-in-1 printer to scan the docs, safe in PDF or JPEG, upload and send. When you use Phone camera, the file is always unusually large.......except you have a system whereby you can convert the file to a smaller, portable pdf size. 1 Like |
