Last time I checked its the same west you are here accussing are the ones who keep telling us to reduce our recurrent expenditure and spend as much as 25% on the education and healthcare sectors, but our govt keeps doing the opposite and you are accusing the west? In the west education is compulsory to a certain stage, there are numerous scholarships and govt grants to students to ensure every one gets the best education. That is exactly what a serious govt should be doing.

We would be forced to look within when crude oil becomes useless. How did The US able to generate $3.5T with a population of about 350million? What do they produce? What is nigerias population? What do we produce? Is there any difference between the level of skill in both populations?

Thats where the govt has to create the right environment for investments(security, transportation, power, healthcare, and offcourse man power development) and encourage entrepreneurship as much as possible through practical schemes. First things first we have to change our structure of govt and devolve more powers and responsibilties to the LGC which the people can closely monitor. If each state or even LGC was responsible for its own power generation, healthcare, education, security I dont think things would be so bad as it is today.
Imagine every LGC had its own kind of GEJs "youwin" project and takes it very serious.
