Aprokodaughter:

But some schools wont put up their fees for September 2021on their website till January 2021. Some might increase their fees in September 2021. Some department might need to adjust their modules.

You need to put in all these into consideration when applying for September 2021 so you don't get confused when they start updating their 2021 calendar (September to be precise).
For my intended program, I found that the earlier you apply, the better it is. I previously wanted to start in January 2021 and applied to GCU in April 2020, but I was waitlisted because the program is full. Apply early, get an offer and if you don't like the changes being made to the program, reject the offer.

Hi guys, so my is offering its students a temporary accommodation package for the 14 days quarantine period for those who don’t wish to stay in the university owned accommodation.

Does this answer the ECO’s question regarding accommodation:

The university has offered me a temporary accommodation where I will be staying for 14 days. This is to help me to be able to quarantine myself for 14 days as required by the UK government. Once the quarantine period is over, I want to get an apartment that is just a walking distance away from my campus

As long as the application period is open, you’re free to make an application.

However you may not get an offer anytime soon. They would finish with September 2020 set before they start sending out offers to 2021 people.

I know that. I noticed that most universities that offer my intended course interview people in batches and it's always preferable to be shortlisted in round one. They tend to be lenient with offers with those interviewed first. That's why I am applying as soon as possible.

That's for your school. The moniker that asked did not mention his/her school or course.

Secondly, GCU is very slow whether you apply early or not and it depends on your department too.

I applied to GCU in February this year and I got a feedback this month. I had to visit students room website. And so many complained about GCU not responding to applications on time as far back as five years ago. Some applied a year ago (September-December,2019) did have not gotten a response (that's for the course I applied in GCU).

It depends on your course and the school you're applying to.

All the best in your application.

And CAS is in for my baby!

Thank you all here for the support and knowledge sharing. The trove of information here is invaluable. We would still continue to help with our own experience while here and when we move to the abroad.

On to the next... Visa!

Please I have a question, let’s say my bank statement will clock 28days on 30th august, but my CAS is ready. Can I apply now so as to secure a date in September? At least by that September, my statement will be ready before the appointment date. Is this possible? Don’t read and pass please
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by mimilyrics: 3:46pm On Aug 10, 2020
Your funds have to be ready before you apply even if you're printing after your application submission. Your statement must show that you have had the required funds in your account for 28 days before you submit your application.
In the quoted scenario, you should apply on Aug 31st after the funds would have spent 28 days in your account.

Apologises for my late response.

N.B: These universities are based on people’s experience, not mine. I do not intend to study again in the U.K. and have not personally pursued anymore applications.

Here are some schools I know of..
Hertfordshire University
Salford University
Sheffield Hallam Uni
Northampton Uni
Oxford Brookes Uni
Ulster Uni
Bournemouth Uni
Birmingham City Uni
Roehampton Uni
London Metropolitan Uni

Again these are just based on what I know from people’s experience when I was in U.K. WhatsApp groups. It may have changed now, so I stand to be corrected.

Nevertheless, I hope this helps.

I'm going to BCU and they requested for account statement before CAS

Hello house, lets say you apply for USA conference(refused) in year 1 from a school but due to unforeseen circumstances you left the school to another and graduated there.
My question here is does it affect your visa ?,being that you mentioned a school in one and you are applying Uk with another school now. My friend said it will not, but they share data and i don't want to be banned as my interview is this week. I rather miss out than get banned.

I would like to ask why some schools are conducting interview for some of their prospective international students before issuing cas while same school will also not interview some other international before issuing cas?

Good evening guys , I want to gurus in the house to help scrutinize my case.
List of refusals , US 2013, Canada 2017, and Uk , 4 times ( first time inconsistent account ) , second time I wanted to attend my cousin’s graduation denied due to large deposit in dad’s account and then I re-applied explaining that but I was later denied based on my financial circumstances. The last one was an all expense paid competition I won but was denied based on financial circumstances.

All these applications I didn’t include my Canadian and US denial
My travels were within Africa , been to Dubai

Right now I got in Coventry .. I’ve paid my full tuition and have my funds for upkeep plus I have free accommodation from Phoenix Award. Patiently waiting for my 28 days to apply for CAS... what are my chances guys

I can't give you a figure on your chances but you can still get a T4 visa.
Since your previous refusals were based on finances, you have to ensure that your finances are enough for your studies and held in the manner prescribed by UKVI before your application. UKVI will definitly scrutinise your financial documents than normal.
Once you pass the genuine student test (this is usually hinged on your confidence and answers which tie in to your personal / professional goals), you submit all the required documents and your finances are on point, you're good and have a chance at getting a refusal overturned via admin review.

You must also state all these refusals plus reasons on your application.
Prepare your answers to all possible questions as the interviewer/ ECO might ask many questions to ensure that you're indeed a genuine student. Also be confident when answering questions without unnecessary words.

Just be honest and list all the reasons of your past refusals rather than hide them.

Hello house, I’m applying with my Dom dollar account. I don’t usually make deposits or withdrawals in this account but I’ve kept the required amount there for over 28 days. This means my statement is only likely to show just my opening and closing balances since no other transactions were done on it. Is this okay?
it is advisable you make at least one transaction on it so they know the account is active, am also using a dorm account had to make some withdrawals just so they know the account is active, i think its best you do that, my opinion though

Thank you so much I wish I knew about this platform earlier. That’s why I didn’t pay the reg 4K deposit because I’ve got to prove that I can afford it all

It doesn't matter. You didn't use the school documents to get your offer so you don't need them on your application.
Just state your refusal and refusal reasons in your application.

Any amount that you pay to your school will be listed on your CAS, you will only need to show the tuition balance in your account.

thanks for your reply but i have to mention that it was the first school that was the sponsor of the conference. So i submitted documents to back it up then. It still doesn't matter?
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by mimilyrics: 5:40pm On Aug 10, 2020
You don't need that. Stating the refusal and reason is enough. If your refusal explicitly stated the school as your reason for being refused or the school was responsible for the refusal, then you can mention them.
You're not trying to defend a refusal, you're trying to get a visa despite the refusal so all documents submitted must be documents that enhance your application.

Hi everyone. How was the weekend? Hope great. May God guide and direct us all in our academic endeavors.

Pls at what stage do I schedule an appointment?

Is the interview date the appointment date too?

What is the time frame between bio-metrics, interview, appointment and online form submission? Let me not get it twisted.

Please can someone break down the time frames for me? I'm still gathering my funds for 28 days and I need to know how to calculate everything.

I'll appreciate it. Mimilyrics. I see you on here. : )

1. After submitting your application and paying your visa fee. The biometrics appointment and interview dates are the same.
2. Depends on the dates available. Prior to Covid, you could get next day appointments or within a few days of your submission but there are longer wait times now.

This is simply because when a particular uni has high refusals, UKVI may be tempted to suspend the school’s license, this is also why many unis now require the full 28 days banK statement in addition to the interview before issuing CAS.
