If you're having this issue, kindly go to settings and click on "wipe mobile ID data" then, input your details again

Nigerian Government has officially dumped the plastic National ID card for the digital ID card.

1) download the NIMC ( national identity management commission) mobile application on playstore or follow this simple link ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nimcmobile&hl=en )

2) then supply your NIN and your registered phone number. ( Do not input your BVN )

3) your digital ID number will be displayed

4) you can print it out immediately.



I have checked mine, you can also check yours

If you have enrolled for the national ID card scheme, you can get your NIN by dialling *346# from the phone number associated with your voter's card, drivers licence, or BVN registration.


Ensure you have at least ₦20 airtime on your line and then dial the code.
tried this with the associated number and and it says data does not exist and I should visit the nearest nimc office

Ahh! this country is a joke. I used this *346# to recover my NIN number and later downloaded the app. Then followed up by inputting the NIN number and my own phone that I used in registering with them only for the app to open and na another Nigerian man dey there....ahhh! Egba mi oooo

The friend who shared the information with me had similar experience but that of his children were okay.

I don't think u can register on the app. U'll have to register with NIMC location nearest to you..cos during the process u'll be photographed and all finger prints captured..u can get it that same day..but get there early..

Whoever built this app just scammed the FG. Billions of naira would have gone into this but from it performance, it would eventually be abandoned. That's how wasteful we are

Dial *346# with the phone number used at the point of registration.

You will be charged N20 for the NIN number

This data mixed-up is real bad. Someone can view my date of birth, fullname as I am currently seeing someone data.

If this pieces of information fall into the hand of nefarious social engineer, anyone full profile/identity can be build up.

Same data can be use to reset login access on site that rely on dob to reset password.

Nigerian Government has officially dumped the plastic National ID card for the digital ID card.

This vital information was provided by the Minister of Interior, Mr Rauf Aregbesola in a meeting with journalists. He further said, Immediately the National Identification number (NIN) is given to anyone, the Individual is automatically captured in the databank domiciled with NIMC ( National Identity Management Commission) the individual can easily be traced anywhere.

So whenever you go to any Government or private institutions domiciled with NIMC, you must provide your NIN number and all information about you will be used.



how to check your Digital ID number

1) download the NIMC ( national identity management commission) mobile application on playstore or follow this simple link ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nimcmobile&hl=en )

2) then supply your NIN and your registered phone number. ( Do not input your BVN )

I hope this app was not developed by a hacker to steal people's data, because I visited NIMC website and no reference was made to this app.
