her gesture is worth celebrating in a country where honesty is as rare as gold.

But many claim to be religious na. Shouldn't that be synonymous to honesty?

Is this news because it happened in Enugu? This is what everyone would normally do without any ceremony.

Na lie you think say she be thief like u grin
lol, it's not matter of that. Big money brings no peace of mind, especially if you didn't work for it, 10k now, she will spend it and highest if the bank calls, she could explain that she thought it was d money she was expecting that entered the account. Being that she's honest, she would return it. But 14m hmmm, my brother even u that is a man will return it unless u are really a criminal abi fraudster.

There is no way she would have been able to use such a high amount of money, the bank would have been able to trace it, due to how much it was.....sometime in 2018 after depositin some small change in my account i also recieved 100k alert , i simply waited for two weeks to see if anyone would call for it but no one did , and i spent it ..... Before you Quote and Critisize me , just know that i had my reasons

For those who think Igbos love money, hope you can get your perception right now?

Integrity is highly individualistic and has nothing to do with tribe.

Thanks to her... More blessings are coming her way.
Keep your dirty mouth shut you fools...
She can't do anything with the money because very soon the mistake will be noticed and the money will be traced to her account.
I still respect her honesty though because some would have transferred almost half of the money out of their account.

I'm surprised how this thread quickly became a tribal war

There really is no hope hunh

Not even the slightest (deep sigh)

back to the topic She could not get away with it she's educated and knows that only illiterate would start clubbing with such money

If she returned 5k then we can have a conversation
cause she would first use out of it to buy card and thank whoever she believed sent the money

Bros she was only wise knowing should she touch that money, it will lead to a life of misery. 14m is not 20k or 10k mistakenly transfered and left considering the stress to get it back.
14m? The owner will surely Come after you through the bank, IRT ie IG's bloodhounds, dss, sss, olopa, mopol, army etc.

She’s earned 10% of the total amount which is 1.4m.
Let’s start rewarding people that do well in this country. 1.4m is a lot of money but compared to losing 14m, I’ll gladly give away 2m without questions asked.

It was way useless, she can't spend the money, the bank will come after, because they will realise the mistake soon or later

she can withdraw the cash and invest it in a business and when the bank demands it, she will say that, she was expecting the CBN loan. Possible, payment will be made gradually. But she did the right thing worth appreciating

Forget honesty grin

If you get ₦14m erroneously, you think the sender will just let it go abi? The kind of people that have ₦14m to send around have ways to recover it. Only an idiot will keep it thinking nothing will happen. If na crook transfer that, do you really want that kind of cloud over your head?

Nobody can spend such money except u want to rust in jail so am not going to considered that as a good news or something special. Moreover it's a thing that has happened to someone that I know few years ago and immediately he reported the issue to the bank

But many claim to be religious na. Shouldn't that be synonymous to honesty?
religious indeed. In a country where an iman sleeps with wives of his followers serially and stealing becomes a commonplace in churches? My cousin was once a banker before he left for yankee. He was working in the winners Chapel branch at canaanland. The elders would bring offerings to them and dictate to the managent how much the interest must be. He said they'd put the money in term deposits. For instance if the bank says, we would do 2% interest with a tenure of 6 months, theyd ask the manager to make it 3%, 2 percent on the deposit would be what the elders would declare to church while they share whatever is accrued as interest on the the 1% upon maturity. Naija don spoil my broda
