For sure it can not be extend .......they are not the same category so it has to be switch. However google is saying : You cannot switch from being a Tier 4 Dependant to being a Tier 4 Student If they are here as a Visitor or Short-Term Student however they cannot apply in the UK and must return home to apply .

Don't know the full rules regarding that so do your research and see what the home office guidance is on that and what is called a short term student

Even if she manages to deceive the uni and receive CAS,

Hope this person knows the uni won’t refund a kobo if she’s denied visa which means tuition fees/deposit is gone on the grounds of using deception.

Ideally it should be switch.

Double check if dependants are allowed to switch to this. The last I saw was Tier 4 child and a couple of Tier 2

It may have changed though.

That the thing with agent .... if for example they spot a problem and give a 10 years ban. That ban will be on the applicants name and details and never on the agent..... the agent will only say oops sorry . and move on to the next person

So always tread carefully and follow the rules honestly
