Hey guys.

Please does the phone number you use in booking your biometrics appointment have and play in doing the appointment at all?

The phone number I used to book is back in another state, and my biometrics appointment is tomorrow.

Please I need a response.

Phone number plays no vital role in the process. Go along with you a copy of the appointment letter, originals of your int'l passport and biometrics instructions letter from IRCC.

Someone please come to my aid!!!!!!! My wife had a 3rd Class in Computer Science and I want her to go to Canada for her PGD and also a place where the tuition fees are very much affordable. We've searched for cheap schools but we've found out that, one school called Memorial University of Newfoundland has cheap tuition fees on their website but mhen, it's a trap coz there are other fees attached to it without ur knowledge and when attached, it makes it one of the most expensive schools in Canada, and funny enough they don't offer PGD for Computer Science. Can someone please help me with a link or many links that will assist her in getting cheap colleges that will accept her in that same Computer Science field for PGD, please!!!!!!

Conestoga and Fanshawe College should be her best bet, they offer a lot of IT related courses.

10 weeks and above is enough time for an applicant to request for their GCMS notes.

Hello House,
Please at what point does review of eligibility change on ones profile? because on my profile it still show "we are reviewing whether you meet eligibility requirements" same thing with the Background Check.
Is this normal? Please keep in mind that I already got AIP and Medical request o.

The Review of ELIGIBILITY will change once your application has been approved and finalized by the VO. Congratulations your application looks very good.

hello everyone,
I submitted- july 16
Did upfront medicals at qlife july 22nd and raised webform to submit emedical slip
I got aip july 30
then medical request july 31st
since then I have raised about 4 webforms snd sent 2 emails but none of them has be acknowledged.
I read on my medical request letter that I’m required to undergo medical examination within 30 days of the letter.

Right now I don’t know what to do..Please help

Please stop sending webform continuously. Since you've raised a CSE the first time, the responsible visa office (Kenya) have received your documents. Most often they receive the documents without sending an acknowledgement email. This is very common with Kenya, Nairobi immigration office. I will advise that you should wait for a few weeks, if you don't see any possible changes on your profile, you may send the E-medical slip via email of Nairobi.

Greetings JustMellow,
i'm a newbie here and have been doing some extensive reading-up of your write ups & those of other gurus..! Man, you are helping out a big deal! Well done & pls keep it up.
i'd like to ask; for summer 2021, what time do you advice for me to put up a study permit application? Presently i'm working on my SOP/LOE & others. I sent you a mail request, by the way.
Thanks

Hello Mrkingz,

If you've already gotten your LOA., you can decide to put it in 6 months prior to the program start date whilst you gather more information and source for the required documents during the time waiting period. I have as well responded to your PM.

All the best

Thank you boss..But what about the 30 days period for medical results..I was asked for medical on july 31,what happens when the 30 days period elapses in august 31?
Wouldn’t it have a bad implication on my application?

VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION: Can two separate applications have the same sponsor? Will the VO find out? This is my situation. Precisely, my brother and I paid different agents for the entire processing (this was unplanned). We both now have different admissions and we are about to apply for our study permits. The only option for both of us is using our Dad as sponsor. I’m really worried if this won’t have any effect. They can only identify a sponsor by his name, and several people can bear the same name - so I personally feel there is no way the VO will find out that the sponsor is the same on two applications. I need to hear from others however. Sadly, even if it would have effect, there’s still no other option for sponsorship.

P.S - Please I need answers only if you are sure, because your answer may totally discourage me, and that’s the last thing I need right now. Thanks.

Hello Ysakaws1,

This assertion or thinking perspective will only see you at the punishing end. If your dad is financially sufficient and capable, then he can sponsor both studies at a go, otherwise, one application have to come before the other.

I wouldn’t understand what is shocking about being denied visa denial without biometrics.

We blow things out of proportion and that is why people less often share their visa refusal here.

It is common knowledge that a two stage approval process was rolled out. Meaning visa applications will be reviewed without biometrics. Anyone that doesn’t meet requirements for the first stage (including those without biometrics) will get denied. Simple. I then wouldn’t understand why visa denial will be shocking? Especially when we all have an idea of the insane success rate for Canada study permit applications.

This was taken right out of my mouth. You've said well.

IRCC has clearly stated that they will not reject any in process application for non-compliance of documents. Your application will NOT be rejected after the stipulated 30 days period given to you to complete your medical exam. As a matter of fact, they will systematically extend the deadline.

Please resend a copy of the E-medical slip via this email - nrobi-immigration@international.gc.ca

Hello Tonyodg,

This isn't for a Nigeria applicant right? It seems Ottawa is responsible for some India and Pakistani apps and so far, most of the applicants whose application went to Ottawa are complaining of their strigent processing style.

Please, can you confirm the aforesaid.

Good morning. Please house, how long does it take IRCC to start reviewing your eligibility. They have been showing me that when they start they will let me know. I applied August 17th, did my biometrics yesterday and it has been completed and received. Please what next and when will they start reviewing the eligibilty.

Hello Esom16,

There isn't a standard timeframe. I admonish you to rather keep on following updates and use the available time to hold onto what you believe in for your luck to shine. You just filed your application.

Please for those that have done biometrics, does your biometrics still show ‘we have not received your fingerprints ...’ ? Any help with this, please?

Please anyone can answer this

What if you applied since May, did your biometrics and upfront medicals and you haven't gotten any reply.. can you order for gcms or it only applies to those who haven't done their biometrics

In your case I will strongly recommend that you should order for your case notes. Your application has taken longer than expected and only the case notes will give you the current status of your application. Thus do well to request for it Asap.

I don't think it worth being worried about as your biometrics details and expiration date is already reflecting on your mycic account. Upon processing your study permit application, the responsible immigration officer will update your biometrics as "completed".

Good morning All,

I am seeing "proof of payment of tuition and accommodation fees" on the Canadian and Immigration website as part of the checklist to be uploaded for submission. Please has anyone had a similar experience. Must i payment tuition and accommodation fee before submitting my application. Because did not require payment of tuition from me for now before issuing unconditional acceptance letter. I plan to pay this in January 2021 when i resume.

My gurus and egbons in the house, please advice?

Payment of upfront tuition fees is not a prerequisite for a visa approval. However, if your school require you to make a deposit to secure your space in the program, please go ahead and make the payment while you include proof of tuition receipts with your application.

I know someone from my end that was also requested to provide the following documents in order to continue processing his application.

1. Proof of payment of first year tuition fees,
2. Updated letter of acceptance,
3. Updated SOA and
4. Medical request.

Note: that these request all came at the same time. So it happens only on a special occasion. The applicant just received an AIP last week after providing the aforementioned documents to IRCC. We have also ordered for his GCMS notes and found out that his application has been approved.

Please declare all the refusals you've had in the past in any countries. Canada and US with other first-rate countries have information sharing agreement and can easily dedicate the refusal if you fail to declare it in your application. Never to worry, having a visa refusal from the US has no negative impact on your study permit. The Canadian immigration officer will assess your application based on the regulations and requirements for a study permit.
