This is very sad...

Those of last year rolled over to this year hoping everything will work out good but then embassy continued being embassy...

This will make it 2 years! Two years of complete wastage on AL, couriers, enrollment payment, semester contribution, etc...

Our money are going but nothing is being given back!
But what can we do?

Welcome to the journey of Deutschland aimless waka!

I am tired embarassed
They are trying to frustrate people. According to one of their criteria for u to be under category A u must not have graduated later than a certain date. People who qualified for that criteria because maybe they are new graduates, why are u trying to keep them home by not giving them AD until they become applicants who no longer qualify for the criteria

Lol...Oga u dey vex oo. You re right no one should waste money if they re not sure of AD. I wish this time could be spent looking for other EU countries to study instead of applying faith and wasting time with study in Germany only.

If 60% here start the research for considerable alternative within 4 weeks there will be solution. Germany no be do or die matter, I know some go say nahh becuz I dey Germany, that’s why I’m talking this way. Even if I don’t agree with Coldie method last year, he was right to say this problem has been there for more than a year and it not cuz of corona or international flight.

Make unah rest on Germany waka and open fresh ideas to other EU countries even if the first year unah go pay school fees but it’s better to waste ur life hopping.

Not all part of Germany you get tuition free education and I have seen people here who got admission into schools in Baden-Württemberg knowing fully they have to pay 1500 euros tuition per semester excluding semester fees and tickets. If you can spend such amount why wasting ur time waiting for AD when u can with that amount school in other EU countries

This problem won’t go away and even if there’s AD this year it will mostly be for scholarships students.

There most than 2000 IQ here make unah take hamm find other reasonable solutions.

How about Norway, I noticed they also have free tuition just like Germany only that the living expenses there is really high but then the good thing is that what they need as proof of sustenance is not more three months old statement of account which can be of any currency. University of Bergen application portal will open by November this year and I am looking forward to applying for their biomedical science program.

Stop giving out information that you don't have enough data to validate... My friend in category B got AD last summer and he is currently in DE as we speak

There's no point to argue who got AD last year an who didnt. The Point is that the entire Studying in Germany process is no longer smooth and joyful as it used to be and no sign it will even get better ( Please i'm not speaking of Faith here).

WS19/20, SS2020 are over nothing happened, WS2020/2021 no one got AD those who have enrolled since last year still have to pay enrollment fees which is nothing less than 300 Euros hoping for SS2021, new applicants are getting admission adding to the waiting list especially if they fall under Cat. A then Cat. B who has been waiting since last year is been pushed backward on the waiting list. The truth is that German Embassy wont give everybody here Visa.

Most of you here are finding it difficult becuase no plan B, if no be Germany no where else mentality. Please Wake UP guys and stop wasting your money and time, find another road to ur success, some of you Germany is not even in ur destiny but doing it because ur family and friends are in Germany or think all is Green here.

Good, dont bother about living expenses the minimum wage of Norway is higher than that of Germany and with student job u will be fine. Goodluck

People got Ad last year I didn't argue it with u, but from July down getting AD became difficult.

When u mean summer can u be specific about the month, reason why we have not been able to make any reasonable conclusion is that almost every one here we all started this hustle last year, am not sure anyone has gotten AD and gone for interview, but we always here somebody I know, one of my friend this and that.

A friend of mine left last year too, but she got AD before that July period, it seems it's from around July that getting AD started becoming hard

Category B got January 2020 appointment date in the month of December 2019. I know about 3 people on the same WhatsApp group... One of them already in Germany now

so i called the german Embassy in abuja about the AD thing just now, i got a response that they have not resumed visa processing for students, i asked if I should cancel the former booking i made in april, he said i should and reapply again. its all really confusing though cause i don't know if the same thing applies to the Embassy in Lagos, i called those ones first but no good response, like the woman even forwarded my call and went mute.

maybe someone else should call them n lets be clear on this. +234 9 220 8010, that is d number i called.

Is there a choice of student visa application at the Abuja Embassy?

I thought only Lagos Embassy attends to students.

The only exception i found is Abuja Embassy attending to students is in the case of CAT A and that such person resides in Abuja.

Would could throw more light on the above? Thanks

Read the criteria well fresh graduate with 2.1 and above as at the last time I checked, I don't know if it has changed I have already asked for a refund of my fees and withdrawn my block account money. Am no longer going to Germany.

I also contacted them last week via mail and this was their response;

"Please note that due to COVID-19 the visa section of the German Embassy and because of reduced personnel remains closed with the exception of emergency cases."

In my case, I've done the visa interview since February but the processing was stalled due to the pandemic. At this very moment, my passport is still with them. E tire me....but God dey!

I called them, they said they will get back to me when they start issuing AD. I wanted to vex but I calm down and cut the call.

I keep thinking of placards, and maybe some sitting down, something subtle. Some might say it's extreme, but questions need to be asked, that's inevitable if we must move forward.
Or if someone has a better way to address this problem, he/she should say so.
Emails and calls ain't obviously working. As for waiting, we've been waiting for almost a year, nothing's changed. Things rather got worse

Hope still dey.

Get a new admission letter from school(in case they need one) and a letter of presence from your school. When you have gotten the two documents, send it to them embassy via email.

Your visa will be revisited.

Godspeed bro

Your case is very much better, get a new admission letter and Letter of presence. Your previous visa application will be rejected so what you will do is to appeal.

But I'm surprised you haven't gotten rejection letter, because almost everyone I know in your category got a rejection letter and they appeal the decision

Let him get the above and send to the embassy via email.

Also print all the above and take to the embassy request for an update politely from Paulinus and plead with him to asisst you in whatever way he can on the status of your visa.

Good luck

From what I am seeing ehn...

Last year might repeat itself and it's going to be a disaster if it does!
Because that will mean that those of 2019, 2020 and 2021 (new applicants) will fight for AD...

The good news is that at least, they have started considering students. Every other thing will fall in place. God will see una through this bottleneck. I was once in such shoe back in 2018.
However, I will also advice here for people to look at other countries. I get sad when i read about those who keep applying to German embassy every year but to no avail. Spread your tentacles. Before I arrived here, my whole plans were for Canada. The year it failed, I switched to Norway. When that failed too, I switched to Germany and I came here. I never in my wildest dream planned to study here but sometimes, one is destined to follow a path chosen by his God.
Those blocked account monies can comfortable take you to other EU nations that are good.
Such option is better than wasting precious time for German visa appointment that is becoming harder to get. Imagine the admission/semester fee plus blocked account? If really U wish to study, an alternative developed nation is as good as coming here to Germany.
It sad to read all these stories here.
All the best brothers and sisters
