Has anyone with AIP applied for GCMS notes yet? This one that my medicals refuse to update and the status is now saying they did not receive it I am wondering if to apply for mine to find out what is going on exactly. I applied July 14. Did upfront medicals and received AIP. My copy of my medicals shows I passed it though

God is good.

The note says: He said 27yrs old male single no support significant previous travel to access as a positive factor, no support for any employment , mothers account noted. To study college certificate.
The applicant’s rational for studies given past and current education and employment has failed to satisfy me that the expense doesn’t justify the potential for improved career possibilities in applicant country of citizenship or current residence to present an incentive to leave Canada. Overall weak family and economic ties to of citizenship and current residence to provide incentive to leave at the end of any authorized stay.

So sorry to hear this
Please when did you apply for the gcms notes

Hello everyone,

Trust we are doing good and staying safe. Please I need detailed explanation on how to go about visa application. Below is my profile.

I am a female, 25 years, married and recently had a baby. I am currently working also. I got a fully funded fellowship for my PhD program at McGill university in Montreal, Quebec, starting winter 2021.

I have gone through some threads but I really need help. I know I am to apply for a CAQ, which will take 2 weeks to be processed.

Please do I need to get any documents ready within the period of waiting for the CAQ?

Please guide me through the visa application, step by step.

I will really appreciate kind responses. Thank you.

Congratulations on your admission. You´ll need your letter of acceptance from your Uni, proof of funds(funding from uni, your bank statement), proof of your employment, study leave letter, payslips, any asset you have like a land/house7business, a statement of purpose, and some other documents. If you start reading this thread from page 1 you´ll find a full list of all the documents you need. I´ll advice you to read the thread from page 1. The more you read, the clearer everything becomes. The cic website also has a lot of information, a google search will lead you there. All the best!

Thank you so much. I entered "No" previously. I have corrected it
Adunola20:

When answering the Come to Canada tool, there is a place you are asked if you have done medicals, did you answer yes or no? If you answered 'yes'.

In your list of required documents, there will be 'Proof for Upfront Medicals'. Upload it there.

I am almost sure this due to monthly spend limit (I assume you are using a Naira denominated debit card). Almost all Nigerian banks now have a monthly spend limit of USD$100 which is less than the visa and biometric fees of CAD$235. If this is the problem, you need to be creative. Folks here should have some suggestion --- Try Stanbic IBTC card if they haven't joined the group of other banks having that policy. I just received notification from Zenith this morning that they have also adjusted their limits. So the options are getting fewer daily.

So sorry for the delay bro. Its a delay not a denial. Be strong, dont let it weigh you down.

The school and program you are going for isnt an issue.

I have a dew questions to ask.. What did you do in your bsv, Did you state you are working, if yes what is the job role, does it have any relationship or close relationship with the intended course. On your sop, did you explain the markertability and employability the course is in your home country, did you discuss your plans after studies.

What did you use as your home ties pls...

Greetings bro,
I studied computer science and no job yet as I just finish school and was suppose to go for my NYSC service buh this Corona iss was causing delay so I opted to skip service.
I think the VO is mistakening the graduate certificate for college certificate, he/she made a remark that I’m going to study a college certificate.
Yes I did explain how good the course is and how people are getting involved with it.

Home ties : I used the Cybersecurity job prospect in Nigeria.
I have a landed property buh I didn’t include any.

Thank you for sharing.. I appreciate.. Seeing these notes gives clarity and hope as well.. I see that u applied for Graduate certificate, I'll advice you choose PGC next time and a course that u can actually defend that is lucrative here.. Study whatever else u like over there when u arrive Canada but for the sake of visa, let there be correlation.. All the best in the next application

Good day All,

Please I’m my admission letter . There’s a section on Internship/Work Practicum and they wrote 8 weeks

Note: it’s a one year MBA program at University of New Brunswick
Will I fill the co-opt Section during my study permit applications?

Thanks in advance

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Akannitommy: 9:42am On Sep 09, 2020
Yes, and you may need a letter specifying that co-opt/work is part of or graduation requirement for your program. If you can't get a separate letter, you can get a copy of your syllabus (showing the co-opt as a course) then append to your admission letter which already has a section on this point. Select YES when asked if work is a part of your study. Finally, upload the combined pdf to the application list of this document.

Good day everyone, please I have some questions.

I'm planning to use my mother's business as a home tie. Apart from tax clearance (which is not available right now) can i use the financial report (audit) of the business in place of it? And how best can I use the business as a tie?

Thank you.

Hello Fgmp12,

Its sad to receive the news on your application. You should get if in your next try but only if you keep your focus intact.

The general idea of the VO's non-satisfaction was from your study plan. Try as possible to critically emphasize on the raised concerns.

Even if your graduation year was 2019, still try to demonstrate an engaged activity i.e. job hunting (email correspondence to/with prospective employers etc), skill acquisition relating to your prospect study, evidence of freelancing jobs, stipend received from managing the family business etc.

As an adult, based on the notes, the VO may be poised to understand your employment situation and what you've been doing prior after your graduation to the date of filing for your study intent.

I don't think the program of study was majorly the issue, esp if the course correlates with your previous study. I think the areas of home ties, funds, and LOE should be looked into.

I wish you the best of luck

Hello Sunnycliff,

Your funds is insufficient. However, you could consider getting a sponsor, that way, you may be able to present your available funds convincingly.

Hello Silvamania,

If you have evidence for the co-op, then answer YES correctly to the question when filling your online questionnaire. If the evidence isn't available, you can request it from yoir school. If this isn't possible, you can fill NO in the questionnaire and can always apply for that prior before its commencemnt within Canada.

BTW did your DLI request for a fee (tuition) deposit?

Hello Sugarbunny94,

You have a beautiful and envious profile. With your age, Master, work experience; especially if you desire for your family to join you, EE would have be the most suitable pathway for you. Try simulating your CRS score.

Another admirable thing again, you have a full funded Ph.D which very good. You may just have your study visa with ease.

If I own this wonderful profile, I would opt for a dual intent application (study route plus EE), esp if I can raise the funds. Just me thinking out loud though.

For the list of documents, kindly see page 1.

All the best

Hello Milo9,

I don't know if I am right. I thought you said your gcms notes arrived. If this is correct, in the notes where the eligibility is entered, the VO wouldn't enter such long sentence.

My response was not based on your GcKey online portal but your Gcms notes. Please clarify and I apologize if I missed out.
