I'm truly sorry guys. I've been busy that's why time to type longer and frequently isn't really in my favor.

I'm truly... Sorry about the late updates. I've been really busy. I intended to update last Wednesday ( my day off), but something unexpected came up. I will surely update when I'm less busy.

Episode 16

Bamidele became befuddled after his phone conversation with Oluwole. " Open the damn gate! " He ordered the gate keeper who looked confused of how flared up he had suddenly became.

He walked briskly into the living room, and grabbed his car keys lying on the center table. He put the key into ignition and drove speedily as he headed towards Maleek's abode.

" Is he home?" He inquired from the middle aged gate keeper as he motioned towards the entrance without waiting for his response.

" Yes, Oga ..."

He pressed the door bell impatiently and creased his brows the moment he saw Biola opened the door and stood in the doorway in denim shorts and big pine colored shirt that so much looked like Maleek's .

" Hey!" Biola said staring blankly at him.

Bamidele had feeling that Biola never really liked him, but at that point, he gave no damn about it. All that matters to him was his wife's whereabouts. And he wouldn't mind being the first to extend an olive branch.

" Hello." He replied walking into the humongous living room.

" Hi, Bam, Bam! " Maleek hailed as he descended the stairs in grey sweat pants and black muscle shirt that revealed his muscular arm.

" What brought you here so late?." He asked in worrisome as he took a glimpse at the clock hung majestically on the grey painted wall.

" it's Wuraola. S- she hadn't returned from the office since I got home. I received a call from an unknown number saying weird things I couldn't decode properly, so, I came here to get Biola's contact from you, but it's good I met her here" he explained gesturing at Biola who had became tensed.

" What!" Biola exclaimed.

" She left the office several hours ago."

" Have you called her parents?" Maleek inquired.

" I know she wouldn't go there without informing me, but not to get them worried, I called her little sister Bolatito and she said she hadn't visited or seen her in a while."

" I suggest we call the unknown number then. Maybe... Maybe we could get a clue about her whereabouts " Biola interjected.

" Yes... that's a good idea." Maleek said in agreement.

Bamidele scrolled through his phone's calls log, and dialed the unknown number putting the phone on speaker.

" Hello" he spoke into the phone and tension filled the air.

" You called back? I never see that coming, Ex- husband." Oluwole's voice echoed mockingly.

" What the hell is wrong with you, man? You kept referring to me as an ex-husband. Whose ex-husband exactly?" Bamidele snapped leaving Biola and Maleek puzzled.

" You will not speak to me in such tone." Oluwole fired back.

" Your ex- wife to be Wuraola is whom I'm talking about." He continued.

"She's going to be my wife soon, and I know it wouldn't be validated until your marriage with her is dissolved for good. So, you will be signing the divorce papers am sending before the end of tomorrow."

" You must be out of your mind! For forcefully wanting to marry my wife by making me divorce her."

All this while, Maleek and Biola stared in awe as the scene unfold before them.

" I see you're suddenly possessive of her. You never valued her, and now that am doing you the favor of taking her away from you, you're making me look like an evil man?" Oluwole asked making Bamidele momentarily plagued by guilt.

"If you know what's best for you, sign the papers immediately they get to you or pay vehemently for it." Oluwole menaced and hung up.

------

Aren't you amazed at your husband's newly changed behavior?" Oluwole spoke and smiled after his words with Bamidele as he sat with legs crossed on a stool opposite Wuraola who had became drained.

" Hhmmm" Wuraola attempted to speak, but was hindered by the gag.

" ungag her." He ordered.

" I...I " she said faintly

" Shhhh, baby. I see you've refused to eat since you came. Look how miserable you've became." He said as he caressed her cheeks.

"You wouldn't want to look this languid on our wedding day, would you?" He said feigning touched and Wuraola spat on his face.

" What the hell!" He said irritatedly as he dabbed his face with his palm.

" I'm going to punish you for this." He said and stormed out of the room where she was held captive.
