They came in two speed boats, via the lagoon. I wouldn't want my enemies or frenemies to go through the traumatic experience. We were lucky that for us, it was only a brown trousers moment. It easily could have been a strawberry jam clean up moment, like as happened to the miguard RIP

How do you know they were 40

Not proofread — ignore typos.

@tunjilomo, I use more than 3 laptops, more than 3 memory cards, and more than 3 harddisk.

See, have you ever lost your files to the point you shed blood or at least, your eyes turned red within 2 minutes? I have been there.

In 2016 or 2017, I was coming from the studio after recording a song and at one of the 2 storey building were 3 men on police vest. They stopped me and I though they were police.

They took my phone and my memory (with all my files) one of them (the smallest one of not more than 19 years) wanted to pull trigger, but changed his mind. They acted too fast like criminals.

They pointed the guns on my head and ordered the young man who carried me to carry them. I thought it was over.

At this point of the operation, the entire street was scanty.

When they left, I stood on that empty road speechless. People started coming out and it was then they said those guys were kidnappers who came for the owner of house by the road.

When I told someone of the information in that memory card and how important they were to me, they laughed and said, "So, you're thinking of memory card? You better go to Church and thank God for your life first."

A lot of crazy things happened, but the summary is: if only I had lots of backups. What about when my computer and phone crashed and I lost everything. Or the one a certain virus ate all my files?

My dear, have as many backups or laptops as you can. If you can't afford multiple laptops, one is enough, but have lots of backups.

U may be right in some ways, jazz hasn't. in any way benefitted Nigerians positively, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist...

It exist but affecting us negatively....

@Lefulefu, this one is different. It's a screw bulb with a camera inside. Nobody will even know. It's cheap on AliExpress. You can use your phone to operate it, watch video, spy, take pictures, speak into your phone and the criminal will not know where the voice is coming from, memory card slot, etc.

My friend, whether jazz exists or doesnt exist, is yet to be discussed on the thread. If really it was jazz that was used to put those people to sleep, is anyone prepared to subject the jazz to a clinical controlled laboratory observation to confirm whether or not the jazz really would or does put people to sleep, hmm?

@lefulefu, here is not a lodge, but a local government with constant free light. 24/7. Bad days is 20 hours. If poles fall, then you're on your own for some days till they get fixed.

The moral of this post is: crime is on the rise and Buhari doesn't care (in fact, he likes it), so you have God and yourself to blame.

Buy the bulb below on AliExpress, Jumia, or Konga to have at least something to catch thieves. If you don't have light in your area, get ones that use battery.

They came to the whole street. I gave you a third person account of what happened at my father-in-law's house. The number of armed robbers is not the reason of narrating the story, but the fact my father-in-law on aftermath, was claiming "they didnt meet him at home", otherwise, if they had, he would have been prepared to have dealt with them. Obviously referring to using jazz to deal with them.
Re: Armed Robbers Came To My Compound Yesterday. by Nobody: 6:42pm On Sep 10, 2020
my only contribution to this is a robbery that took place in 2011 because a slay queen was showing off with her yahoo-boyfriend's car .
It happened at 2AM on Sallah day so the Mai Guard had be released for his Sallah Holiday and the tenants handled their gate-keys themselves. calling anyone in their flats to come and open the gate and locking it behind them.

We were in our flat watching movies only to get a knock from the neighbors, the slap and punches that followed was just too shocking, we thought it was a girl-friend snatching issue because one of our flatmates was fond of that. it was a terrible night and we thought we were dead for sure because the robbers did not hide their faces and neither did they warn us to close our eyes..

The slayQueen in question had gone for Youth Service and dropped her boyfriend off at the Airport - she was to deliver the car to his mum while at NYSC camp. she took the car to her parents house instead - after service year she started driving the car all over town . the robbers who have made a fortune robbing this yahoo-boy living in Ajao Estate suddenly spotted his car on the Island, they assumed he had hit BIG Money and come back to lagos to cool-off. that was how they track the she-goat girl to our block of flats that fateful night.

They beat shege and raped her that night before locking us all up in a single toilet and driving off. it lasted nearly 2 hrs.

What was very strange was that there is usually a Police Pick-up station at the junction a few meters away from our Block of Flats, always taxing vehicles using that street to beat traffic. This time around, they were nowhere to be found.

Be careful when you drive around in flashy cars - the boys do not sleep and they are watching

@specialofficer, my sincere apologies. The rate at which haters abuse me with moniker 1 and secretly start asking for help with another moniker has killed any philanthropic intention I have on Nairaland. In real life, I oblige most times, but on Nairaland, I ignore or decline 100% of the time. So, accept my apologies.
