If you are an OSU, you remain an OSU and generation unborn can't save you from that.

Forming an association of osus is nothing but inferiority complex.

Traditions remains tradition and can not change because few people feels that one or two things doesn't go their way.

The whole article is nothing but trash and nonsense. The wisdom of our forefathers surpasses that of all these generations.

If you don't like Igbo tradition relocate to yorubaland and change your name to Olaotu or relocate to hausaland and change your name to Kawaii but if you insist on staying in Igboland them you must respect and abide by her traditions...

Stop the attack on Igbo Culture and Tradition it make us who we are the most special and Unique Black Race in the world

A culture that dehumanize your fellow humans, is that a culture to uphold or put in high esteem? Who are you to label God's creatures as unfit to mingle with their fellow humans? Any igbo man or woman encouraging and supporting this osu caste system are not any different from Satan himself. All good people both igbo and non igbos should rise up and condemn this osu caste system. This osu caste system is just pure hatred to your fellow humans. God must surely judge those who harbors hatred to their fellow humans.

If you think you are diplomatic come to igboland.

It's true, you Igbos don't wait for one ruler or king to tell you what to do, you only wait for the degenerate scoundrel Nnamdi Kanu to order you on what to do. Scallywag!

Abeg shift go one corner jor!! .."Our fore fathers knows better" ko. Our fore fathers were men who were ignorant and limited to thier little kingdom & thier archaic way of lives as at that time . I do not blame them becos they did not know any better, but I blame your kind and that of your fathers that are educated and still practicing this barbaric custome.

You must be filling cool with your self for being part of the free born and the joy it gives you in looking down on another due to what your wicked society has conditioned them to be for a life time ..

If our fore fathers knew any better and their generation after them are expected to abide by the very practices they left behind, then by now there won't be any twins in our society. This is becos in those days twins were considered as bad omen to thier parents and thus must be killed according to laws of the land . Now does that practices sound alright to you ?? Or does the practice of human sacrifice that was once part of our religious rite, so as to appease the gods of our fore fathers, a normal thing to you in this modern age ? Have these dark practices not been abolished ? So why are still hanging on to this archaic practices that is design to demean another and strip them of thier dignity in the very society they call their own ? Why ?

I pray that in your next life, you should be born an Osu /Ohu, so that you can have a taste of the bitter pill of been called an Osu and suffer thesame fate these people go through in every areas of thier lives . Wicked soul .

Everybody likes to quench the smoke in another person's house while their village is on fire.
It's like the new thread in Nigeria is attacking Igbo customs and traditions while a young man is about to be hanged for ordinary religion and women can't be allowed to dress the way they like in North by Hisbah all because of religion.
Whereas in South West, the supposed female yoruba monarch that to them symbolizes their equality in gender is not allowed to be with a man talkless of marrying and giving birth.
Everybody in Nigeria is now a Nelson Mandela on Igbo Culture
osu shut up. We are only trying to help you.

I hope you and your generation are taken as slaves to the middle-east some day. No need to tell you how it will feel because you will have no choice. In fact, the whole Igbo should have been taken as slaves to the Americas.

Seriously, ibo people need to stop this nonsense and archaic practise immediately. If they can be treating their own fellow ibos like this, then what hope is there for a complete non-ibo stranger in their midst?

Those ibos being discriminated against had better leave such backward society and go elsewhere, else they will hardly progress. Could this senseless discrimination be the reason why their society is still the most homogeneous and seen as the most hostile towards strangers in Southern Nigeria? One hardly hears of strangers progressing in iboland the way ibos are allowed to in other societies.

All you Ibo people still practicing this nonsense should stop it. It's not fair!!! angry angry Tufiakwa.

When I become a senator I'll make every effort to push a bill that will outlaw discrimination along ethnic, religious or gender line. But I cannot become a senator in Nigeria.

Thank God I am Yoruba. Our saying which is adopted from the Yoruba IFA traditional philosophy is that "a slave is born the same way as a freeborn" (Base b'eru la b'omo).

Those who still believe in treating others among them as slaves would also deserve and continue to be slaves to others.

There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
(Gal. 3:28)

If you're a Christian and you still discriminate against your fellow humans (who are probably doing better than you), for no fault of theirs, shame on you! Let God rebuke you Himself, His own way.
If you're educated and usually shout #BlackLivesMatter but you deny your fellow tribesman/woman anything due to his/her ancestry, bigger shame on you! You may find yourself abroad then white people will show you the real discrimination.

I will never think less of my fellow human due to something that is no fault of his. How do people comfortably live this way?

There is nothing barbaric about Osu culture. You will also end your relationship with your Reverend Father boyfriend because the Church cannot wed you. It is his choice to leave Priesthood and get married as well as marry Osu and become one.
