1. Yes, biometric records are kept forever and for every application made, registered details are cross-referenced in UKVI databases with matches explored for information discrepancies.
2. This depends on the merits of her application.
3. 10 year ban in cases of misrepresentation and deception. Subsequent applications will be scrutinised.

Ps: why was a different name used earlier? Was it used as a means to game the system or was it the person's legal name at the time?

Good day house. It's really nice what people do here.
i have some question and i will be highly appreciative of very reliable, evidence based answers and opinions.
someone i know tried to apply for UK visa about 11 years ago with passport that bears a name and date of birth that we will call J.K. Elizabeth and Bleep for the purpose of this thread and was denied(reasons not stated and more importantly her fingerprint was taken)
fastfoward to 2020, she's wants to reapply with another passport with her genuine name and date of birth.
now my questions are;
1. does the UK embassy keep biometric records for refused/denied visas? if yes, for how long?
2. does she stand a significant chance of visa approval this time? what are the odds?
3. what are the consequences if the previous records pop up?
like i said earlier, informative and factual answers and opinions will be highly valued.
thanks a whole lot.

I got my refusal letter today because I submitted my admission letter with the evidences, Russia gives 3months visa from Nigeria which is then renewed in Russia and it was renewed but I didn’t point it out in my letter, I am about to try again but with my renewal letter, a copy of my renewed visa and a letter explaining how it’s done. I still have till October 10 and another priority should be out before then. My gurus in the house, what do you think??

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Skymoore1004: 9:35am On Sep 18, 2020
Bro, your academic certificate says you have already completed your programme six months ago. This is not about any visa renewal. It’s the fact that you’re done studying and do not have any ties to Russia anymore.

If your visa has actually been renewed, kindly fly back to Russia whenever you can & make your application there. You have more chances of approval from there than Nigeria.

I finished a language study and I started a normal course, this was a mistake that I didn’t address. In Russia you need to attend a language course before been enrolled. And that is what I did, I submitted my language course certification.

and if I apply from Russia, I might get only the 10 days visa for which I applied for, that is why I am applying from Nigeria because it’s a 6 months multiple entry
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Skymoore1004: 9:46am On Sep 18, 2020
Apply from Russia like I advised.
It proves you’re actually a resident there & it will make things easier.

U.K. will not give you 10 days.
Either 6 months, 2 years, 5,10yrs depending on what you paid for.

You’re welcome but it’s just my advise.
So keep open mind for other contributions.
If you really want to apply from Nigeria, maybe you can show new enrolment letter, proof of tuition payment or scholarship document, valid visa and other documents that supports your studies in Russia.

Good day all, please has anyone used the complaint channel recently and got refusal decision overturned?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Skymoore1004: 1:09pm On Sep 18, 2020
Depends on refusal reason & justification based on applicant profile.

Everyone that uses the channel should be able to get a decision whether positive or negative.

I haven’t said anyone can not use the channel. I am talking about overturning the refusal to a positive decision.

I got your point. What I'm saying is that they should reply people irrespective of their decision. I have been waiting for a reply and it's already beyond their stated 20 working days.

I want to believe they are simply letting you know before hand that the processing of your application may not be completed within the standard 15 working days. Meaning you should not panic that work is ongoing on your application. When and where did you do your biometrics?
