For Turkish Airlines, u dont need Covid-19 test but u must make arrangements for 2 weeks quarantine to show at the UK Airport (LHR) when u arrive. As I'm writing this now, someone is being held at Heathrow Airport since yesterday because she is going for 9 days vacation, tourist and she has no one in the UK, they called the hotel if they can quaranti
ne her and d hotel said no and now they told her that they will cancel her visa.

But what about those of us that are going for like 6 days and have a place to stay?

First timer. Hello friends, I want to share my experience and ask for directions how to go about my wife's dependants application.
Online application for my tier 4 visa was submitted 6th August 2020
Biometric and interview was 20th Aug
Not straightforward mail received 7th sept
I was Scheduled for phone interview 10th Sept 4.30pm
I waited for the call, it didn't come until 6pm when I had boarded a plane to attend my traditional marriage which was to hold 12th Sept.
I waited for a reschedule mail as the interviewer who called the previous day promised to send. The reschedule mail didn't come. No call came through too.
I sent a simple email to request to be rescheduled on 11th Sept
I got rescheduled for 15th Sept and got interviewed over the phone same day.
No correspondence since then till date.
I'm very worried now as it's been 5 weeks since my first interview and biometrics

I also wanted help how I would go about my wife's dependants visa. I'm waiting for my visa to be ready before I apply for her.
I like to state that as at when I submitted my application, I filled no dependant because we weren't married as at 6th August.
What supportimg documents would we be needing for her dependant visa? I am worried because I filled No for dependant on my application. Would this be a problem when we are ready to submit her applicantion?
We have our marriage certificate, wedding pictures, what'sapp chats for one year, it should be more but we have changed phones a couple of times.
I need guidance as much as I can get here.
Thank you all and we love you. Wifey send her regards.
Desmond.

Tier 4 Visa Timeline: 11 working days (Standard)

Received CAS: 1st Sept (Was delayed)
Application: 2nd Sept
Biometrics: 7th Sept (walk-in at tls Ikeja)
Received email from Uni that CAS has been used: 8th Sept
Received not straightforward email: 11th Sept
Received decision has been made: 18 Sept
Pick-up email: 22nd Sept
Collection: 22nd Sept, 2020

Visa Status: Approved!

No interview at tls center Ikeja, no follow-up interview on phone. Just drop off. It's a rare privilege.

Lesson learned:
Make your application as simple as possible and avoid unnecessary info and explanation in the name of cover letter. Experience indeed is the best teacher...I learnt the hard way.

Fees
A Standard Visitor visa costs £95.

The fee for a long-term Standard Visitor visa depends on its length:

2 years - £361
5 years - £655
10 years - £822

The 2ys visa is very cheap, I should be able to afford this.....Please I need someone who can welcome me there sad

Congratulations. Do you have to pay for walk in? And how difficult is it to obtain a walk in appointment. Can I just show up and be attended to without booking a biometrics appointment prior?

Thank you

I loaded my paga e-wallet by transferring from my bank account using internet banking (you can use mobile app too). Then went to the UK visa page for payment. I then selected paga, it took me to my paga account where i logged in and paid. You need to have a paga account.

Thank you for the info

The 14 days would be at the place u go straight to from the airport. From 48 hours to your arrival in the UK, you ought to have completed the Journey and Contact Details form online. You could provide your uncle's address as where you would be isolating.

Please what about those that are going for less than 14 days. Are we going to be allowed in.

You will self isolate for 14days, then proceed for your business.

Enter UK 14 days before your business into UK....this was response I got from UKVI/immigration

Working hours
Students should ensure they are aware of the University's working restrictions which are generally stricter than the number of hours you can work under Tier 4. The following is therefore provided for information.

A Tier 4 visa issued for full-time degree level studies allows you to work for a maximum of 20 hours per week during term-time. This is a maximum of 20 hours in total in any one week, including paid or unpaid work and for one or more organisation. The 20 hours cannot be averaged over a longer period. A 'week' is defined by the Home Office as a period of 7 days beginning with a Monday. This also includes both paid and unpaid work. The University imposes greater working restrictions, as outlined above, and you will need to adhere to these.

A Tier 4 visa issued for full-time degree level studies allows you work full-time during official vacation periods. Term and vacation dates differ depending on the level of study you are undertaking so it is important you check these before undertaking full-time work. This includes a full-time internship or placement unless it is part of your course. Please note that the term and vacation dates used by undergraduates do not apply to graduate students. Masters students should consult their Faculty or Department for further details regarding official vacation periods. The academic year for graduate research students is continuous throughout the year, from 1 October to 30 September. It is therefore not possible, for example, for a graduate research student to undertake full-time work during the summer period. Whilst breaks for holidays are permitted, at times agreed with your supervisor, these are not periods that would permit full-time work. Whether you can work after submission of your thesis for examination varies depending on the stage of the process as outlined in the information below.

If you planned to stay in the UK for 6 days, add 14 days to it totalling 20. Your business should be after the 14 day period.

No, but when travelling you must make provision for 14 days isolation.

This is not as bad as it sounds. Bars and restaurants now close at 10pm as per the curfew. A bit of time management and adjustment needed here really...

Please my experts I need your help
Am trying to apply for visit visa with my family but my problem is that I mistakenly deleted the link sent to me by UK gov when I applied the first time.
How can I reapply without that 3digit code in that link?
And how can I book appointment for my dependants ?
Thank you all.

Thanks for your response. I filled 10days in my form but I will be able to only stay for 6days because my leave remains only 2weeks in November for this year. Visa will expire in March 2021. Can I still go in January or early February? I also got this from gov.uk website which says IF YOU ARE STAYING LESS THAN 14DAYS IN THE UK YOU NEED TO SELF ISOLATE FOR THAT PERIOD YOU ARE STAYING FOR.

Yes, that is correct but the reason for coming to the UK becomes defeated. What is the point of booking a flight, coming to the UK to be bound by the walls of a house for the whole of your stay? You get to POE and you are asked why you have come to the UK, what do you say? They ask you where would you isolate, what do you say?
