So what have you been thinking? smiley

[s]Well James 1:27 was talking to each individual in the Christian congregation, not the duty of the group as a body!
Note how Jesus applied this @ Matthew 14:14-22, he asked his disciples to provide food for the multitude!
But how are they going to do this?
Jesus taught them a lesson!
He did not bring out money, nor bread but asked them to contribute what they had, blessed it and miraculously multiply it to satisfy all the people.
Lesson learnt, the Christians will continue to take care of the less privileged amongst them, but that's not his own duty.
So Jesus' brothers aren't sent to come taking care of the needy my guy, that's the duty of capable members of each local congregation. There duty is to oversee the preaching and teaching program globally!
The case of Ananiah and Sapphira led to the abolition of what the first century Christians were doing back then. For your information, they were trying to eradicate poverty in their midst, instead of focusing on the preaching and teaching of God's Kingdom!
If anyone who joins the Christian congregation is made rich or average, who will not join them? cheesy[/s]

I honestly, all you put up above isn't worth my response. Keep deluding yourself.

A dead person, sent to Hellfire not to be punished for his evil deeds this time around but just to witness what is happening and then come back to tell people who are still living! cheesy

Even father Abraham in Jesus' illustration that Mr Ken4Christ is building his illusion told the rich man "there is no need sending someone from the dead, they have Moses and the prophets"
Rich man objects "no father Abraham, they will not believe but if someone from this place could just go back to tell them, they will believe" then father Abraham responded "if they don't believe Moses and the prophets, neither will they believe if someone from the dead should rise to tell them" Luke 16:27-31
So when did the judicial decisions of father Abraham change o? embarassed

God is not father Abraham. God chose to have mercy on whom he wants to have mercy. So many have gone to hell and come back on account of the mercy of God.

Jonah died and his soul went to hell. It was from hell he cried out for mercy and God had mercy on him. If God could have mercy on Jonah, he can have mercy on anyone.

Jonah 2:2 And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice.

It's a true life story. He is seen in hell and Jesus told the person that so many are coming to hell on account of his false teachings. If you want, I can post the full story here. The Jehovah Witness sent assassins to kill him after he revealed what he saw. He is currently going from city to city sharing his testimony to those who cares to listen. He who has hear, let him hear.

Think very well. Can a lifeless body in the belly of a fish cry or talk. His body was in the fish belly but his soul went to hell. Life came back to his body after his soul re united with his body. Is there hell in the fish belly? Are there bars in the fish belly for he spoke of bars also. Hell has organized compartment sealed with bars just like our normal prison on earth. So, Jonah was in one of the compartment sealed with bars.

Jonah 2:6 I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her BARS was about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O LORD my GOD.

The detailed description of what happened to Jonah proves that the dead are conscious. There is no way anyone can survive for more than 10 minutes inside the belly of a fish. But Jonah gave detailed description of all that happened to him. His soul was alive and has memory.

I didn't put it there, it's in the Bible. Or is the belly of fish grave? If it is grave, I thought you teach that the dead knows nothing. How come, Jonah remembered all that happened to him why his lifeless body was in the belly of the fish?

“Indeed, without an illustration he[Jesus] would not speak to them”—Matthew 13:34

This was one of the features of Jesus' earthly ministry. He always spoke to the crowds listening to him using “illustrations” or “parables” to in order to know what lay in the hearts of his listeners and also to fulfill the words prophesied by Asaph and Isaiah.(Psalm 78:2, Isaiah 6:9-10)

It was only his close disciples and those who wanted to know more that Jesus explained and revealed the explanations of the parables. (Matthew 13:10-11, Mark 4:34)

But on this occasion in Luke 16, the verse 14 says that “the Pharisees...were listening to all these things”.

And we earlier noted that Jesus always spoke in parables to those who were not his disciples.
So it's of importance to ask oneself if the story of the rich man and Lazarus was a parable or whether the Pharisees somehow became Jesus' disciples. undecided

The main audience were his disciples. The pharisees were the side crowd. They were not the key audience.

From the first Parable he gave in the same occasion, it was his disciples he addressed.
Luke 16:1 And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods.

Even if we assume it's a Parable. What is a Parable. It is an illustration or narrative of events that we draw a moral lesson from of things that could actually happen in reality.

You make Parable with things that are real. For instance, you can't say, there was a certain ruler who was living in the sky. People don't live in skies. Or you say, my dog cooked for me. Dogs don't cook. So, you make Parables of things that are real and of events that can actually take place in real life.

Read all the Parables of Jesus. Terms and illustrations used are real and not abstract.

So if he said a rich man died and went to hell, it means hell is real and the listeners should draw a moral lesson from it.

So whether it was a true life story or a Parable, the message is the same. It proves there is a place of torment where the wicked goes to and it is supported by many other passages of the Scripture.

No Scripture stands alone. It must be in harmony with other Scriptures that deals with the same issue. And there are many more Scriptures that teaches that the end of the wicked is hell where they will be tormented night and day.

Jesus went there so you won't need to go if you accept him as your Lord and personal Saviour. He loves you and died for you. Why not receive him now as your Lord and personal Saviour and save yourself from the torment of Hell.

And yet you many who truthfully believed in him not preaching. I have cited many examples. It can be clearly seen in the books published by your religion that without each and everyone participating in the preaching, there is no everlasting life for such a person. Clearly stated.

However, you have failed to show anywhere in the bible where Jesus, the apostles made such a statement. I asked you, Can you please point to the scriptures where either the apostle Paul, Peter, James, anyone, even Jesus said to either his disciples or to the congregation or like those written to the congregations in revelation that they must go door to door or lose everlasting life?

You clearly cannot. Because it is not there in the bible.

In the other side, are you no claiming that the likes of Jesus, the apostles, disciples that didn't teach such a message to their followers even while they were on earth were "they are workers of iniquity"?

You spoke of equity. I know what it means. But the fact of the matter is, EQUITY in this CASE IN THIS MATTER. The fact of the case is, what did Jesus command? What did he teach? What did he expect from his disciples? What did he say is paramount and most of all, what is that requirement to enter God's kingdom. What were the scriptural examples we see?

These are the fact of the issue I have brought forward, which you clearly have no response. But instead you skirt about the issue with a circular reasoning.

Speaking about equity, have you seen this scriptures before on what Jesus did?
Ephesians 4:11 He is the one who gave these gifts to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers.

In a family, any family, everyone does not have the same task, talent or ability. This is the fact of creation. Among the nations of Israel, not all were priest, not all were levite, not all were singers, no all were elders (older men), not all were Kings and not all served in the court.

Not all true Christians were to be preaching. Some were given as apostles, some evangelist, others pastors and teachers. But all serve to the edification of the body of Christ (the church or congregation). Verse 12 says, "Their responsibility is to equip God's people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ"

The church of christ (congregation) is compared to the human body. Not all part performs the same function. The hand has it task and so does the leg. At times, the hand can do what the leg can and vice versa. But all work together to build the body. The same is true of the Christian spiritual body. All cannot perform all task. Below is another example.

James 3:1 Dear brothers and sisters, not many of you should become teachers in the church, for we who teach will be judged by God with greater strictness.

While there is admonition to reach out for more service in God's work, not everyone can do every work.

This is why you see the simplicity in the bible. While Jesus commanded his disciple to preach, it was evident that not all did the same preaching because they understood the command more than you who exist 2000 years after. This was also why you couldn't provide evidence where the apostle Paul or anyone was pushing the congregation into the field to preach. That's because they knew that
1. It was not a yardstick for everlasting life
2. Not all were to be preaching just like teaching or other works
3. All had different gift
4. All worked together with their different gift and ministries to build up the church, christ body.

If you would calmly follow his argument.
He is simply positing that scripturally not preaching the gospel doesn't deny one of everlasting life. Likewise preaching the gospel doesn't guarantee everlasting life.

If JW truly hold the opinion that every Christian must be an evangelist otherwise won't make heaven, then you must likewise agree that every christian must be a prophet and healer otherwise won't make heaven too.

Because just like the instruction to preach the gospel in Mark 16:17, it also includes healing the sick, taking up serpents and being immune to poison.

Apostle Paul made it clear that salvation hings on public declaration with the mouth (preaching) that Jesus is Lord! Romans 10:8-10
There's no way you can declare Jesus as Lord without saying one thing or another about him to convince others as to your reason of faith, and Paul is not saying the declaration is to be made within but before outsiders meaning preaching! smiley

Oh wow.
So why is that Jesus' parting words to all his disciples was the commission to always be preaching and teaching about all he commanded them? undecided (Matthew 28:19,20; Acts 1:8 )

Sir, Jehovah God was likened to a cultivator and Jesus likened himself to a vine.—John 15:1
His disciples were to be branches.
Jehovah God(the cultivator) will take away from the vine(Jesus), any branch(any disciple) not “bearing fruit”(preaching the goodnews of God's Kingdom).(John 15:2,8 )
The activity that denotes the bearing of this fruit is the preaching of the goodnews of God's Kingdom. (Matthew 24:14)
Granted, life everlasting will not result from any amount of works because it's a gift given to all Jesus' disciples through the undeserved kindness of God(Romans 6:23) BUT saying that you will not contribute to the preaching work one way or another is just plain arrogance because you must speak to somebody and invite such one to come and partake of this wonderful gift of everlasting life.
Otherwise, when you prove that you have no regard for this gift, Jehovah God, the cultivator, will remove or take away such ones from the vine, which is Jesus Christ, the head of the congregation.(Ephesians 5:23, Colossians 1:18)

So Mr M.yer, if one professes to love Jehovah God and Jesus, he will do ALL he is commanded to do. (John 15:10, 1John 5:3)

oh!
Now, I see where you trouble lies

Hell is different from Hellfire
The latter is nowhere to be found in the Bible

The Hebrew word Sheol (Hades in Greek) (translated as Hell in KJV) means common grave of mankind!
Both Good people and Bad people go there (Job 14:12-15)

first of, The dead cannot praise or pray to God!, the know nothing (ps 88:10, 115:17)
Jonah pray to God from the inside of the fish(jon2:1), he was comparing the belly of the fish to Sheol cos' he was good as dead inside the fish .( Jon 2:2)
He could then says God brought him from the pit or Sheol (Jon 2:6)

The spirit and soul of man lives on after death. And they are even more conscious than when they were alive. There memories are intact like the rich man who went to hell.

From the lesson above and your new researches , what's your definition of Sheol, Hades or Hell now?

Those three days Jesus died..He was simply in grave(Sheol, Hades, Hell)

Recall the prophesy about Jesus in psalm 16:10
For you will not leave me in the Grave. You will not allow your loyal one to see the pit(Nwt)

For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.(KJV)

For thou wilt not leave my soul to Sheol; Neither wilt thou suffer thy holy one to see corruption.(Asv)

@Bolded
I Peter 3:18,19-
...He was put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit.19And in this state he went and preached to the spirits in prison,

Now, tell yourself the truth.
Did he preached to the angels in prison in his death state or after he was made alive in spirit? (1 Tim 3:16)

It's a true life story. You don't have to believe it because you are possessed with the spirit of unbelief. Your sect is even trying to kill the man for revealing it but God is protecting him.

Do you really know what Romans 10:8-10 is talking about? I don't think you do. Public confession of one's faith (or new found faith as the case was) has now been change to evangelism.

You guys really need to study the bible independently of watchtower books. It's so blinding.

He has given you the Watchtower interpretation of the verses nah!

So refute it by presenting a better and meaningful Interpretation! wink

Please how do you make public confession of your faith without preaching? undecided

I think public mean everyone around you, so how do you make it without preaching?
Remember Paul attached it to salvation! Romans 10:10
