MPE guys were already preparing for their promotion exams before the lockdown..i.e those on SS1 due for promotion to M6...

IOR guys are the ones who just entered SS1 and those who had already done up to 2 years on SS2..

This is an indication that as these guys move up the ladder to fill up management positions,the lower grades are vacant the newbies (GTs) can only fill up the SS6 positions after their training...meaning some positions on SS5-SS1 are vacant..spirits won't fill them I suppose...there was already rumours that the advertised positions for management during the recruitment won't work again,and I was told by a staff that this IOR was to augment for that...it won't be fair for someone outside the industry to come and boss over those who have been in the system from scratch was the argument put forward by some agitated staffs..you can imagine the badbelle most staffs would have been carrying for people like the former COO upstream who later resigned as COO business and ventures that entered the corporation in 2015 and rose that high...

In conclusion let's wait for the final outcome of this recently concluded exercise...some failed though as I was told,because their results are out and those guys will certainly remain in their position...

That's where the problem now lies...will there be transparency? My friend that wrote this exam said the results are out,then I remembered when I wrote NDDC Scholarship exams immediately I clicked submit my scores came out,so it's possible

Which skills are they looking for that the EH couldn't cater for? Stop deceiving yourselves please..

This is the reason why people with info fear to drop them. It is true that there are strong rumours of cancellation. You don't just dismiss that guy's claims like that. Besides, the corporation is even looking at offloading alot of the SS1 and SS2 guys into M6. This is because promotion is accelerated from SS6 to SS3... From SS2 and SS1 upwards, promotion drags. So you see people spending a lot of time in those two positions..

The GMD once mentioned that expertise they were looking for, they could not find it among the interviewed EHs. He mentioned that the corporation could not afford to hire EH and still go ahead to train them like GTs.

Dropping the info of cancellation here takes a whole lot of courage.. No one is happy about it and the prayer is that the corporation should have a change of heart. It will do a whole lot of good. Even in the midst of all these, it is the hope of the GTs that they will get to receive the EHs soon.

'in many cases we have not seen the skills in some of the areas that we are looking for'. Those were the words of the GMD. As far as I am concerned, if he wants to take just 10 EHs he should do so on time and let others move on.

In other words, maybe they lacked the skills needed to select the skills that are needed to be selected.

I know some people with crazy degrees and certifications cum experiences who are part of EHs hopeful. GMD is just playing politics.

E.H Cadre has competent persons with degrees, expertise and experience. Do you know the various companies some of these E.H work in? Some work in high-capacity and result-oriented organizations that are skill-driven. So we have those fit for NNPC and those that will make NNPC greater than many IOCs. The GMD didn't make that statement just for the sake of it. I wonder what conclusion he has arrived at following that statement ... but he did say they would get back to the EH soon if I remember clearly.

Now 'soon' is subjective and 'getting back' is ambiguous and could mean several opposing situations.

This recruitment started very well. It was going to be the best for a very long time in the history of the corporation. Then it took a sad turn and Covid-19 snuffed the life out of it. Now, expectant candidates are left in a lurch, abandoned in limbo. A simple information would be better than utter silence.

This is no way to treat people. In 2020 Nigeria, na wa o. Na real wa oooo. My people con dey heave upandan. Different 'permutations' Omo, who youth of this country offend na? Words fail me ooo. With the detail I got before from a very very close NNPC staff, it shows that Mr Mele Kyari is a man of his words, and a man that feels people's needs...... Again, NNPC is going for transformation, so they may need to get the staffing well-structured for it.

How is it a bad news for the new intakes? Even if oil sell for $3 per barrel, their entitlement is safe. It should be a bad news for the whole country, not new intakes.

Ajaerof I am an applicant in ncs recruitment, I just wanted to get your opinion about your experience in the nnpc CBT and customs CBT in terms of difficulty levels and also in terms of timing, will you say it was possible to finish 100 questions if one actually didn't just involve in random answering.

My extrapolation is this: the recruitment is still on, but EH may be called much later, as a lot of processes and structuring of the corporation will take time. So, I will put my mind for next year. Just my thoughts o.

When people failed this exams like 2 years ago,it was outright retirement,but the union fought against it...will that happen now again well I really don't know,because some that wrote the exams the IOR guys haven't got to their actual time of promotion..my thoughts too

By God's grace, see my previous post at the beginning of September....

The EH has been patiently waiting for their time to come which is the best thing to do. Pls, disregard any news from the GTs cos they're novice in the system that don't have any authentic
news to offer. Till date, it's only staffs on SS2 & above are going to work while from SS3 below are still at home. EH recruitment is still on and are meant to occupy b/w SS4 & SS5 positions that will be created after promotion of staffs . MPE/IOR exams were written just last week Tuesday so many things will still have to be put in place in the course of promoting the staffs b/4 they'll consider processing the EH recruitment.Many contract staffs in different SBUs also applied and are hoping that these will be their opportunity to become a permanent staff and right from day 1 of these recruitment exercise, GMD has been fully involved so he's a disciplined man & will surely see the recruitment exercise to the end...so I wish my EH hopefuls all the best. Just a little patience and u'll see urself in the system when all the staffs have resumed fully to work.

my 2cents....am not sure how legit d cancellation rumours are from what i heard....as a matter of fact from what i overhead...EHs might be called sooner than they think...am not really into the process like i was last year so havent really enquired much...i just overhead a convo about it from someone that should be in the know...and this was sometime last week and what the person said was its almost over and this is d first time the person is making a statement like this tho.....make of that what u will sha.....anyways keep d faith guys...
