Thanks Frankrobbn.

Frankrobbn1:

I regret to hear that your visa was rejected. The visa officer has expressed concerns about the genuineness of your sponsor (cousin) to sponsor your education in Canada. As such the possibility of you having access to funds in your cousin's account is not reliable.

In this post, I will be providing some of the feasible strategies you can implement in your next application to address the concerns of the visa officer.

First and foremost, you (principal applicant) and your cousin (cousin) must establish strong proof of relationship by including the following documents;

1. Your Father's Birth Certificate (showing that your dad and your cousin's dad share the surname name)
2. Family pictures (Where your cousin and you (the principal applicant) took in the past)
3. Family tree diagram (provide a diagram illustration showing brief description on how your father is connected to your cousin's father).
4. Bank statements (Showing proof of history or ongoing financial support from your sponsor (cousin) to you in the past or present).
5. WhatsApp messages (showing your chats and discussions about your plans to further your studies in Canada.) Etc.
6. A notarized Letter of sponsorship explaining why he is spending so much on you and what makes you so desirous of this sponsorship as well as what he stands to gain as a result of this sponsorship.
7. A domicilary account in your name showing transfer/deposit of equivalent $10,000CAD from your sponsor in support of your annual living expenses.
8. Your sponsor should complete the entire first year tuition fees from his bank account, and highlight the payment date on the SOA. I trust this will overcome the concerns of the visa officer in terms of continued access to funds if your circumstances changes.

In regards to the visa officer's concerns with reference to your inability to demonstrate that your family is well established in Ghana. I would suggest you should add as much documents as possible to prove that you're well off in your home country. The following documents will strengthen your immigration case;

1. Landed property in your name (explain what you intend to do with this land in the near future upon your return home - probably you may emphasize on your plans to start up a company of your own which is in tandem with your acquired practical knowledge and international exposure in Canada)

2. A deed of gift from your parents duly prepared by a licenced attorney (the deed can be in form of assets or money which your parents has gifted to you out of love and affection and has irrevocable power over the gift deed). If possible, your family attorney should write a cover letter on your behalf explaining persuasively to the immigration authorities about your responsibility as the only child of your parent and confirming to the fact that you're the bonafide heir to your family's assets and must return home to ensure its continued management.

I hope this information is helpful in your next attempt.

It will end in praise.

Hello nairaland family,
Got final response and gcms @notes today.
I have been refused based on purpose of visit and financial assets.

I have options to defer to January or September but I'm not sure what to do right now.

Brief summary;

Bsc Accounting 2014
Ican 2019
Working as an accountant
Going for MBA at mun, tuition 4833 cad per year unpaid
Sponsorship letter of 10,500 cad
Applied without spouse and kids.

I'm thinking I could pay one year tuition, work on my SOP and apply against January but worried their quota for the year is almost full and I might not get a fair reassessment.

Good evening house,

Please i need advice on how to build my personal account as i don't have alot of money in it

My sponsor is using her business account and i have seen in the forum the need to transfer the living expenses to my personal account

Can i just transfer the whole 10,000 cad to my account from the business account and explain?

And if yes, please how do i give the explanation? In my sop? Or sponsorship letter?

Please i really need help, thank you in advance

uote author=MamaIva post=94409537]Good evening all , I wanted to ask about the best way to apply for my student permit . A brief summary about me .

My bsc was in the medical field, so i am going for Occupational health, welness and safety. Its a one year PGC
I am a single parent and I have a 4 years old that wouldn't be accompanying me .

The main issue I have is my proof of finance ,I have about 6 million naira in my savings account , I started to gather this sum by June this year. The sponsor I want to use is a family friend ,she is not in any way related to me . How can I make this fly ,that is using a 3rd party sponsor . Please this has been a burden to me ,as I dont know how to go around it. Thank you all [/quote]

Good day all,

I got a letter of refusal today, had ordered for GCMS notes just last week. I have decided to reapply alone at the end of October when I get the GCMS note, so as to address the VO's concerns.

I applied on the 14th of August with one of my three children to go to Canada with me.

Used my husband, other two children and family business as proof of tie back home.

I have a 2.2 in Banking &Finance, got admission to PGD Business Accountancy at Saskatchewan Polythenic.

3+ years of Banking experience and 8 years of building family businesses.

Used the businesses my husband and I have been running for over 10 years as source of fund and paid tuition deposit of 8500CAD from one of our corporate accounts.

Summited the statement account of my business with 40m, the other with 5m and another with 2m while my personal account had over 27,752CAD for daughter and myself.

Please find below the documents I submitted:

Academic Documents:
Letters of Acceptance fall semester
Letter of deference to winter semester
Letter of acceptance winter semester
Letter of Confirmation from Saskatchewan Polytechnic
Receipt for Tuition Deposit
Bachelor of Science Certificate
WASSC Certificate

Personal Documents:
Digital Passport Photograph
Police Character Certificate
Data Page of International Passport
My Birth Certificate
Church Marriage Certificate
Other children's birth certificate
Husbands International Passport
Sworn affidavit of name change
Newspaper publication for change of name

Company Documents:
CAC Certificates
Particulars of Director
Memorandum and Articles of Association

Financials
Bank letter of reference and Statement of my personal account
Bank reference letters for COY 1
Bank letter of reference for COY 2
Mybankticket for statement for COY 1
Mybankticket for statement for COY 2 ( 2 differnt bank accounts)
Business Invoices and Local Purchasing Order (LPO)

Daughter’s documents:
Digital Passport
International Passport
Birth Certificate
Fathers Letter of Consent .

Please my people, help me check. I'm wondering why I got a generic refusal.

So sorry about your Refusal

There might be more to the refusal based on the text on your GCM note

Do share your Profile (List out the Documents you submitted for your application)
- What you studied in Nigeria, the program you are going for in Canada & its qualification (PG. Cert or Masters or PH.D) etc.
- Marital Status
- Employment status
- Home ties - Family Ties.... etc..

Also share how you show your Proof Of Funds (List the Documents)

With that, members in house gonna know what went wrong , and be able to connect the GCM note text with your profile then arrive at a possible way the refusal can be tackled.

I studied Surveying and Geoinformatics(BSC). Working in a bank for the past five years. Going for post graduate diploma Geographic Information System ( branch of Geoinformatics). My SOP was all about Geographic information System applications in banking. Applied without my family.

This is BVL. Before COVID and all this new system CIC is bringing, once you get BVL be expecting a final decision soon. If you get BVL without medical request then it’s most likely a refusal. It looks like they are now ready to tell you the decision they have reached a long time ago.

Getting an approval in the end and being allowed to enter Canada to pursue your choice of program are the associated benefits that can't be turned down. Taking that into account, you wouldn't even recall the stress or expenses you incurred during the immigration process because you will eventually get the money spent in a matter of few months in Canada.

It will end in praise.

Hian Oga Frankrobbn. It’s talk like this that make people commit fraud in order to travel out. How can you say a prospective student will get the money spent on judicial review in a few months in Canada? Someone that cannot work for more than 20 hours a week? Where are the jobs set?

Please not in this modern day of information will you be telling people such stories. Please the struggle is real everywhere and nowhere is paved with gold. Let’s endeavor to be realistic please.

Hello,

I still remember your previous questions. I asked some follow up questions but you did not respond.

No site is closed. If you have your GC username and password, you can login to your account and see how your application is progressing.

Have you given your biometrics? (Finger prints and picture taking)

Is this your first application ever for Canada?

Did you receive any admission letter and did you see it with your eyes?

Are you communicating with this agent properly? Or just saying yes to whatever they tell you? When you asked them for your receipt (if you have asked) what response did they give you?
Let’s start from there, so we can find out if you’re being played.

All the best
