Hello, please help.

I got into UTDallas for a PhD (full funding with TA) without taking GRE/TOEFL. And I was only able to apply to ONE school during the pandemic.

How am I supposed to prepare for the visa interview?

I'm really scared
Thanks.

Man - you're one lucky dude 1 of 1, 100%. Well done sir.

If I may ask

1. Which course is this?
2. Did you have MSc in naija?
3. An idea of your BSc and MSc performance

You're under no obligation to answer - but it would be great to know.

Meanwhile, I speak breakthrough into your visa application. You're a chosen!

This is not so true sir. You can fill another ds160 even after scheduling appointment. It must just be done before 72 prior to interview date. This is from their website:

"If you made a new DS-160 after scheduling an appointment, please log in to your profile and update your DS-160 confirmation number on the “Update Profile” page at least two business days prior to your visa interview appointment. ... Note that your visa application will be processed based on this DS-160 confirmation number."
Ok. Thanks for clarifying that... @paulousguy please take note.

Kind of. My admission was deferred to Fall 2021 but I'm trying to get a Spring start date instead. So, it depends on the outcome.

I wish you all that are going for visa interviews goodluck. I can imagine how stressful it is preparing for the interviews. Thank goodness my school gave me a deferral because there is no way I would have had the energy to go through any kind of visa-related stuff, especially given how terse and intense that email sounded. Good luck folks!

I tell you, I can't even imagine going through that stress, but it worth anyway. Which University did you apply to.

Practicing, in most cases, is not a good idea because you will come off sounding rehearsed to interviewers. Just remember your talking points, be confident and go into the interview. You need to be natural.

Ofc, some people here will disagree which is fine.

There's not going to be any open spot until they let us know or the Consulates resume in some fashion.

Will I be granted an emergency appointment if it is within 60 days of my program start date?
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by oracle009(m): 5:25pm On Sep 30, 2020
My people, I have a question and I will appreciate answers. The "tensed" mail sent by the embassy spoke about emailed and mailed i-20. I want us to discuss what is really meant about it.

Now, I have a former i-20 reflecting FALL, 2020 which was sent to me in hardcopy form. However, my uni have sent a new one to me (soft copy) reflecting SPRING 2020. Both still possess SAME SEVIS number. Meaning that they only updated my SEVIS record.

My school even sent a mail asking us to go to the embassy with a downloaded and printed copy of DHS COVID-19 guidelines asking embassies to admit Emailed i-20.

MY QUESTION: Looking at the content of the mail sent by the embassy, to what extent does it affect my situation?

you are right bro.

Similar thing happened to me when I went for a job interview. Practiced interview questions. Went for the interview and my answers weren't coherent. Just in a bid to pour out what I "cramed". smh...

Lesson learned... Be natural and flow with the current, and you will be fine.

I understand from your view but you realize this is Nigeria and the US embassy does not trust Nigerians when it comes to issues like these where fraud/forgery can easily take place. I will advise you insist that your school sends the original (agree to pay) to save yourself from outward denial. Thou the cost might not be smiling but it worth it
