Eket my hometown, I'm proud to be an Eket born. I hope you learnt one or two words, like Abadie
Eket was cool, served in Eket. Eket people seemed more friendly than Uyo people.

I beg to differ. The most hostile set of people on AKS are from or in Eket and Oron. Uyo is about the most friendly and laid back.

You should have enter from Calabar to Eket direct instead of coming to Uyo and going back to Eket
It's the same thing, he's passing through Uyo to Eket. There's nothing like "going back to Eket"

From your post, you mean lagos to calabar journey lasted for just one hour? I'm amazed. My journey to calabar from lagos via peace mass transit bus lasted for a good 13 hours which cost me 5500 in 2013. So how much does Arik charges u?
Read again bro, he traveled by air. Repeat, by air

Well, it's just my opinion. From my experience Eket people are very welcoming to visitors. They are happy people

Thats too expensive. Just a 2 hour journey. I routinely visit uyo cos i served there in 2011. And it was 400-500 then. Infact, e no go better 4 bubu.
That was then bro. Covid 19 changed all that. Two a seat, coupled with the terrible road made the cost to go up

In terms of Kidnapping and Robbery Uyo is better than many cities in Nigeria including Lagos. But just drive a little up north of Uyo ie Ikot Ekpene and the story is the direct opposite.
My heavens!
Is it the one and only Kinematics speaking good about Akwa Ibom? Or should I say a little good about Akwa Ibom?
I am happy to that it's coming from you, the one and only Kinematics and even though you didn't speak generally of Akwa Ibom, the little you have said is enough to convince me of what Akwa Ibom have achieved in the past few years.
Though I would love to bring to your notice that yes there is cultism and kidnapping in Akwa Ibom, it is quite minimal compared to other state.
I enjoyed your thread @OP and thanks for doing justice to some doubts of I and many of my friends all over the world.
When you tell them Calabar is living in past glory they won't listen.
I love Akwa Abasi Ibom State
God bless Akwa Abasi Ibom State
And God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Bros where this akpabuyo pitbull dog fight dey take place and when, I am based in Calabar, will like to go take a look.
emerazz:
OP.. nice visit bhu wen nxt get someone that is staying here in calabar to be your tour guide. you visited absolutely nowhere and saw nothing in calabar..

e.g you see that marina resort baa, there's a slave trade museum closeby.. filled with very vital historical artifacts.. one of the best in the country.

would have taken you to Efé Ekpe on a Saturday, you'll see EKPE the main ancestral god of calabar as a masquerade displaying.. very interesting nd colorful..
would have given you one of my white chiftancy top and a wrapper so you can follow us and jolly with d Ekpe like u can see in d pic below.... however your gel would be behind probly with my gel, as women dont come close to it like u can see in d pic..

ull see atámbembem, its a masquerade too, taller Dan three story building, on display.. with white handkerchiefs hovering about it like drones without support whatsoever..

would've taken you to the akpabuyo pitbull dog fighting on a sunday, just like the Spanish bull fighting.. very interesting and full of suspense.. if u care we can hit a dogmeat joint grin very necessary; D

we would have sailed the marina sea with a speedboat... etc.. bro you missed.. a whole lot..

maybe holla me nxt time..
safe trip back tu lag bro..

PH is not as bad as the media portray it!

I have been here for over 15years

I can tell you that it's moderately safe
Provided you don't keep late nights
Or do shady bussiness.
Also pray not to be unfortunate in life

Guess you only knew me recently. I have no qualms with Akwa Ibom besides the lies Hunchogee aka Ilaumoh keep dishing on a daily basis. Also I'm allergic to people celebrating mediocrity on a daily basis just the way Ilaumoh does.

Yes Akwa Ibom is a beautiful state we all know that. The indigenes of the state try to keep their state clean which is commendable. I'm not against Akwa Ibom neither are my against the job Ilaumoh aka Hunchogee is doing, but whenever he uses lies to hype it beyond what it is or try to bring other state down just to make his look better I will always come for his jugular.

Well back to the thread. If you are looking at relaxation in clean and peaceful environment then Akwa Ibom or Cross River is the place. However if you are looking for anything else then look elsewhere.
