Juliette3Ken: Print out the proof of scholarship or funds transfer evidence and hold it. You may have an opportunity to present it to the VO. This is more impactful than a letter. |

chizorkay: The VO doesn't care about freshly obtained passport or one of a seasoned traveler. They will approve your visa anyways. Invitation letters also don't count much. There is no format. Just have it typed normally and ordinarily. The chances of looking at it is 10/100. You should be focused on proving to the VO you don't have immigration intent. Why do you need the visa? What assurances are here in Nigeria to show you will return back to Nigeria? 6 Likes 1 Share |

Has anyone travelled from the UK to the USA without issues in recent times? I know there is a restriction on UK -> USA visit. However, I note from the travel declration that this rule does not affect people who have family members who are US citizens. My 4 yr old has American citizenship. And I am looking to visit the USA in December with him and his mum. Anyone with similar circumstance that can advise please? |

Hey guys! I have a question, I intend to go to the US next year and I am applying from Amsterdam. I filled the DS-160 form and I haven't finished uploading my photo but I already got a DS-160 number. My question is can I apply and pay for an appointment with this number? Won't the number change after I finish with the DS-160? I'm wondering if the number is temporary? Regards |

Hello Everyone, please I am here to ask about renewals. My vB1/B2 visa expired in May and I want to renew it. Is there an option for renewals within 6 months of expiration without appearing at the embassy? Also will renewal lead to 2 years multiple entry as usual? |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by Damian457: 12:47pm On Oct 10, 2020 |
The option is no longer available, it was suspended last year. Every visa renewal must be done the same way it was initially obtained. No more interview waivers AjalaDtraveller: 1 Like |

hayzed89:Generally, a citizen of a foreign country who wishes to enter the United States must first obtain a visa, either a nonimmigrant visa for a temporary stay, or an immigrant visa for permanent residence. Visitor visas are nonimmigrant visas for persons who want to enter the United States temporarily for business (visa category B-1), for tourism (visa category B-2), or for a combination of both purposes (B-1/B-2). Here are some examples of activities permitted with a visitor visa: Business (B-1) Consult with business associates Attend a scientific, educational, professional, or business convention or conference Settle an estate Negotiate a contract Learn more about Business Travel to the United States (PDF - 362 KB) on a visitor visa. Tourism (B-2) TourismVacation (holiday) Visit with friends or relatives Medical treatment Participation in social events hosted by fraternal, social, or service organizations Participation by amateurs in musical, sports, or similar events or contests, if not being paid for participating Enrollment in a short recreational course of study, not for credit toward a degree (for example, a two-day cooking class while on vacation) 1 Like |
