Hi guys, for someone that has B.sc in Economics, M.sc in global governance & years of banking experience, what course/ school can be recommended that doesn't require GRE and also shows logical progression in career. Thanks
Check
MBA at Thompson River University, British Columbia (No GMAT/GRE required)
https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/145#91625045

Schools offering Masters in Economics
https://www.universitystudy.ca/search-programs/?k=Economics&program_level_merged=Master%27s+degree&program_language=ENGLISH

As mentioned by honorable @chocs, if you decide to go for another Masters, you have to convince the visa officer with very cogent reasons on why another Masters will be beneficial to your career instead of a PHD

From my own opinion,
u seem to av shown an interest in International Relations, Peace Keeping & Conflict Resolution related program by going for an M.SC in Global Governance

A PH.D in Global Governance or related program should be what u should pursue,

Check the link below for information (response) on PH.D in Global Governance programs and other related programs

Also,
Your Profile also looks kinda good for EXPRESS ENTRY(Masters & lot of years of work experience) why not check your CRS SCORES (Comprehensive Ranking System - CRS)
to know ur eligibility

Explore the
Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program thread in the link below on how you can check ur CRS Score and some other vital information on Express Entry

It seems she doesn’t need a medical exam because of where she applied from (Turkey)

You might want to reconfirm that. I applied from a country that is "No" on that list but still needed to do medicals. Another question to be asked is When he started his application did the information he provided later generate a response that he needs to take a medical exam.

Hello,

That’s really insightful. Her GC account says she does not need a medical exam.

The country you applied from, had you been resident there for >6 months in a stretch that year? Just curious

Hey Chocs, that is the usual message on everyone's GC account before a medical request drops, no?

Yes, I have been a resident here for 3 years now and others before me who had left from here had medicals done too. Maybe she/he can tell if there was need for medical examination at the point of application.

Hi everyone, I just got letter of acceptance from Humber College. I applied for a graduate certificate course (project management). My question is that will 9 million be enough as statement of acct for my personal account? This 9m will just be sent to my account, I hope there won't be a problem because the money hasn't been flowing for the past 3 months. The money is actually in form of digital currency so I have to convert it to naira.
I'm highly anticipating for a response. Any other information will be highly appreciated.
Thank you.

Good morning Nairalander

Please I need you assistance in paying part payment of my school fees. I tried using my card and it was declined severally on CIBC Website, I also tried using the bank wire transfer (form A with access bank) and the money hasn’t drop in my school account yet since last week .. I was given 21days to pay 4000 Canadian dollar and right now I don’t know what to do next... pls help
dheehour:
You can use the CIBC International Student Pay...... Google it

1. Select University of Windsor as institution
2. Select if you are working with an agent or not, Select term of study, Select country you are paying for and amount in CAD. Click Next

3. It gives you payment options
* Bank Wire ( Transfer) i.e You create an invoice and take it to a Nigerian bank....... it gives you the USD equivalent ..... a reference number will be provided on the created invoice

* Credit/Debit card: Master card. Naira equivalent
* Credit/Debit card: Visa. Naira equivalent
4. Click Next
5.Fill in details such as Student ID, Student email addres, Student first and last name etc.

After doing this like I said in 3. It creates a payment invoice you take to the bank which has a reference number....... they transfer the money from your account to the school account ( your school ID)

Hello,

Check below for my detailed response

Thank you for your response chocs.

My tuition fee is $19807 for a year, does that mean 9m to 10m will be enough? The money is in form of Bitcoin, can I state it that I just sold my Bitcoin to cash so that it won't be as if someone just transferred 10m to me. Can a screenshot of my Bitcoin wallet serve as proof for that? I'm really confused .

Hmm. That means the best thing for her to do is to ask IRCC.

Hello eusuph99

As far as I know there is no con. But going for a 1 year course means you’ll get a 1 year post graduation work permit. If you’re looking to apply for PR (permanent residence) it might be such a short time to to work and gain experience which would boost your CRS score for the PR application. Except you already have about 3 years of work experience.

All the best

Hello Natase

You do not need a medical exam if you applied from turkey and you have been a resident there for > 6 months which I think is your case.

To see countries that require a medial exam please see this link

Form A now takes about 2 weeks, they say it is because of scarcity of forex. I thought mine was not going through until I received the debit alert from my account about 2 weeks after I submitted the form

I don't think there is any con to it during Visa processing stage. The only con is that after your program, you get a one year post graduate work permit. One year goes by so fast and you might not have the time to get a job and apply for permanent residence.

My bad....someone already answered.
