Informanta: Check the occupation list to see the occupation you can nominate. Visit www.anzscosearch.com On the top middle page click "Lists" (on a laptop/computer) or click the Hamburger sign (3 horizontal lines) to select "Lists" if you are using a mobile device Go through the 3 lists MLTSSL, STSOL and ROL Click any of the occupations that best relate to what you do. When you click the occupation, scroll down to 'Anzsco code' and scroll to 'Tasks' Check if the tasks relate to the occupation you have selected. Revert here with occupation(s) you deem relate to what you do and we will take it up from there |

Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by bligs: 11:05am On Oct 05, 2020 |
Lanrsop:Most 491 comes with conditions, you have to check each state and see whether you meet their requirements for nomination then express interest for the one that favours you. |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by bellong: 11:20am On Oct 05, 2020 |
JayMaine: Your occupation (Television journalist) is a Skill level 1 class B occupation. This means a Bachelor degree equivalent to AQF is a must. From experience, qualifications from ABU have been assessed to be equivalent to a Diploma. This will likely give you a negative assessment. You can make an enquiry with VETASSES for clarification. Meanwhile, the other hurdle to cross is that only ACT specifically has it on their occupation list. Other states have it under special conditions. You will have to go through the states' website for more information. You can choose many occupations but the hurdle is they are all Skill level 1 and not many states sponsor them. |

Don't know if this is the right place to ask my question. However, is Ikoyi the only IELTS speaking test center in Lagos? Or is there any on the mainland? |

Hello good people, Following the budget presentation, I fear things don't look too good for offshore applicants. I stand to be corrected anyway. I have been waiting with my 95points for 491 since August hoping for state allocation but feel a bit confused today after reading some parts of the budget. |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by bellong: 10:44pm On Oct 06, 2020 |
Mamabigboy: Can you explain the part of the budget you are worried about? Most states suspended nomination due to COVID and some recently reopened while others are still closed. |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by Okonowele8(m): 11:23pm On Oct 06, 2020 |
Informanta:I don't think you will scale through vetassess assessment because you are not a manager and I would suggest you look at the two occupation under EA. Do you have payslips, bank statements, pension or tax clearance certificate? |

Well done Oga Bellong. I was just confused on the number allocated to General Skilled Migration out of 160,000places. [qquote author=bellong post=94683018] Can you explain the part of the budget you are worried about? Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by tunlex01(m): 11:10am On Oct 07, 2020 |
Informanta:With EA, you will need a well written CDR document. Also, pension or tax clearance documents for the 4 years is mandatory for EA now. For Vetassess, if you aren't a manager, don't even bother with to assess with them except you are able to prove your managerial role. |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by Okonowele8(m): 11:27am On Oct 07, 2020 |
Informanta:I mean do you receive your salary by hand or is it paid into your account by ur employer? If yes you may be able to proceed with EA assessment. Are you a manager in your office ? Can you prove it, how many people report to you and who do you report to? These are some of the things vetasses will look at. If you don't have payslips, salary bank statements or pension or tax clearance it may be difficult to get positive assessment from both assessing bodies I.e EA and vetasses. Shalom |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by Informanta: 12:06pm On Oct 07, 2020 |
Okonowele8: Payment of salary is basically on my personal account and sometimes directly from clients, I read somewhere here stating I can get a notarization letter stating I receive by hand, kindly re-affirm or denounce it. |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by Informanta: 12:12pm On Oct 07, 2020 |
tunlex01: Thank you for your response, please what do you mean by CDR document? For persons that get pay by hand or directly to private account is there any means to clarify the d tax clearance or can I go to tax office and get such documents even if it entails them calculating the taxable years on my personal account? Pls I need your advice Nigeria don tire me. |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by Okonowele8(m): 12:40pm On Oct 07, 2020 |
Informanta:You are not answering the questions but picky and asking me more questions. I do not know how you will scale through assessment without payslips, bank statement showing your salaries for the number of years claimed, tax clearance or pension. |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by Okonowele8(m): 12:56pm On Oct 07, 2020 |
Informanta:this works well if u live in lagos and Abuja please note that you will still produce payslips. |
