Logging in to internet banking is not a problem at all, retrieving the pin or getting a token is the problem, i have tried using *737*7# still it doesn't work.

The biggest prob i guess is the fact that my card has expired so i can't use it as part of verification process which is required.

Exactly what my problem is as well expired card no token

And yeye Vodafone made me reset my phone.

Ooh wow... I get you. My thought however is that if you already have access to internet banking, you could use the same login on the mobile app but I guess you need to first link the device.

Have you looked through the internet banking platform to see if no option to link device in there? Also, if you're roaming your Nigerian line, try using 2G option instead of 3G/4G before dialing your bank's USSD code string.

I hope it helps if not then you might have to get a new card. I know GT bank re-issue the same card number albeit with new expiry dates and retains your old pin (don't know if this has changed though but worth trying out).

Hmmmm ...I always use the mobile apps for my transfers and for the web based Internet Bank platform, I once used the *737*7# code to generate a token successfully when making a bill payment.

You might just need to contact the bank to issue you a new token + debit card and get to send it to you after you indemnify them and pay for the courier.

Hello NLs, thanks for your contributions so far here, please an urgent question ... I got offers in Chertsey, Surrey and Ryhl (Wales). I dont know much about any of these place (expect what is available on google). If you were in my shoes which would you go for and why? Please I'll appreciate contributions from all those familiar with these places.

I used to live not too far from Chertsey. It's generally considered a highbrow area so cost of living is high. I heard then that some Chelsea footballers live around the Chertsey/Chobham area. Mclaren and Mercedes world are not too far away and it is less than an hour from London by train so location is good. I have never been to Wales so I cannot say anything about that but I am confident the cost of living is lower than Chertsey but the Standard of living MAY be better in Rhyl.

Depending on the package but I reckon Chertsey will be a better option than Ryhl in terms of location and a host of other factors like good education for the kids(if there's any in the picture), job opportunities for the other half (if there's one) and also proximity to a familiar community. In terms of cost of living I'm pretty sure Ryhl will be most affordable. I will suggest you look up cost of renting close to your place of work in Chertsey and see if the numbers would work for your finances.

You can use https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-to-rent.html to search for accommodation
and https://www.thesalarycalculator.co.uk/salary.php to calculate your take home after tax

Accommodation is usually the biggest expense in the early years so once this is under control, you can pretty much wing everything else.

Speaking about naija passport renewal, when would be best time for me to consider renewing my passport as it would expire in April '21 and I need to renew my visa also in June '21.
Need to plan it properly so that I don't begin to panic with all these stories of passport renewal backlog.

I also need to renew as mine expire April 2021. I want to renew but i heard when one apply online the payment slip has no interview date? how do i go about it?

However, I don't agree with the emboldened, but I understand from experience that desperation can drive people to do certain things. I also think it's interesting that you specifically mentioned ''caucasians'' in your post. The idea of getting married to someone simply for the purpose of getting a visa is fraud, and the person who does it for free by deceit isn't in any way better than those who pay for it. In my over 10 years in the UK, I only know of 2 Nigerian students who pursued the marriage route, the kind of caucasian women they got married to are the ones a decent fellow wouldn't touch with a bargepole.
please I am a Pharmacist in Nigeria. Please how do I migrate to UK and how easy is it to practice there

Hello gurus in the house,

I just moved to the UK and still isolating yet to move to my accomodation, I tried opening an account with monzo using the app but unfortunately after verification of my ID, I got the attached picture. What could be the reason and possible solution to this because I just moved here. Please help@mimilyrics, justwise or anybody that can help

Which ID? Naija passport or Brp?

Try starling bank. It's similar

I used my Nigerian passport as the ID. If I try starling, wont I get the same response?
Re: Living In The Uk/life As A UK Immigrant by Bourne007(m): 9:49am On Oct 07, 2020
Possibly .. can't say

If you get denied again, just wait for you BRP and try again. If you are student and need an account urgently, get a letter from your uni to open an account from one of the old fashioned (traditional) banks
