Can you see that bootlicking Twitter user Oguntoyinbo Ismael or whatever his name is.

That Buhari's administration delivered Onitsha port does not mean he is free from the controversy surrounding his WAEC certificate. These are two separate events that are not interrelated in anyway. Trying to muddy up the water by such comments is one of the main problems we have as Nigerians.

As for the Onitsha port, first of all it is at the very least commendable that this administration delivered it as they promised. However this port, like all government funded projects in Nigeria, is late on arrival and may quickly be irrelevant to the main problem it is meant to address. The slow pace of delivery of this project can be attributed to bureaucracy and politics. I am more than certain that the port would have been executed long ago if the regulatory body was under state or regional government control. Afterall, it is common knowledge that a large portion of the containers that land in Lagos are destined for Onitsha and Aba, taking all these years (a failure of all the past administrations) to prioritise a project of this magnitude is really depressing.

This is why I continue to insist that we restructure Nigeria. A restructured Nigeria would definitely be better run, more competitive and more efficient than the present behemoth we have.
