Olayinkaji:

I already ordered before my denial came in. After the denial, the agent asked we order gcms (I am yet to tell him), which prompted my question as I do not want him to know I have ordered
just tell them you have ordered already or tell them to hold on if you insist on not telling them you have ordered
Your notes would come soon I trust

Hello Olayinkaji
I remember your story, so I’m a bit upset. No one should be using agents they don’t trust. I hope your next application would be handled better.

Tell them you ordered your notes already (tell them the date if need be)

Ordering GCMS notes does not affect your application in any way. So it was not the cause of your rejection. So I wonder why they’ll have a problem with you ordering your notes. They should have no problem with you for ordering your notes. So be straight forward with them.

Best wishes

Olayinkaji:

Alright thanks Chocs, its the way the application was handled initially made me to start divulging some information/plans.

I was initially advised to order when my application was taking long and no response from IRCC then.
Thanks for the heads up

@nwanyiokpa please don’t be discouraged. Almost everybody gets a refusal. I didn’t see the GCMS notes you posted but if you say there was nothing specific in it, then the only point of issue will be your finances.

Like everyone else has said, pay your tuition and point that out in your letter of explanation, then get the full amount for your living expenses transferred into your account from your sponsor
Make sure your brother also highlights that in his letter of sponsorship.

I believe you will be successful second time around.

Conclusion

Honestly, you have done well by taking time out to write your SOP but you still have a lot of work to do.

There are so many other things to add but it is midnight here and I feel sleepy already.

Next time, don't post your SOP on a public forum.

I wish you all the best.

Quiet thread today. My former account was blocked. I still don't know why. I had to create a new account.

Does anyone know how long it takes for your passport to get stamped upon receipt of PPR? What's the process like if you don't want to travel to Lagos but you choose to use DHL or other courier companies to hand over your passport to VFS?

Secondly, it seems VFS is not currently accepting passports for stamping. Can anyone confirm this too?

Hello.
Have you gotten a passport request? if yes, when was this.
Also to your question, I think you can use a courier service to deliver your passport to VFS (not absolutely sure)

As an intending visitor wanting to apply for Canada vistor visa, what reason can be convincing enough to the visa officer to grant me the visitor's visa?

Thank you as I await your favourable response.

Hello Nectar89,

It may not be advised to apply for one at this moment except maybe you're visiting for essential purpose (non-discretionary and non-optional) or as spouse/dependent accompanying.

All the best
