13 hours

13 hours is too long to be seated inside JKIA but you can wait it out to save cost. Though there is Four Points by Sheraton within the airport grounds.

Their office is adjacent the Intl airport toll gate...just ask when you get there.
I was there a few weeks back and it was on the day they started a 2 weeks warning strike. the normal fee is N2k but we were told to come behind and get it. We paid almost N4k extra but we got it same day as against normal procedure of next day.

the contact's number there is Nonso : 07039092599

Good luck

Good evening house.

Please this is a bit urgent. Has anyone done the yellow card at the MM2 office recently? My airline said it's compulsory and I have only tomorrow to obtain the card.

I just want information on anything that can make it faster. Do I need to get there very early? Are they other places I can do it? Someone please help

I have come to share my testimony. I said I will testify too..its been such a long journey but God is ever faithful.
Biometrics and interview 26th August. Non straight forward mail 14th sept. Got another mail on the 15th saying they will call me for another interview on the 16th sept. Interview lasted 53mins plus. Like a week after the interview I didnt hear from them, my friend who introduced me to this thread Bukie asked me to send them a mail. 24th sept I sent a mail and they responded that I told them I have study leave from work i should show evidence and i mentioned my dad is my sponsor but the money is my account i should show evidence of how he accrued the funds.
That threw me off.. my friend Bukie brought the case here and we took the advice of showing landed property since the money didnt come directly from popsi.. I submitted the deed of assignment,my bank statement of march because that is how long the money has been in my account and all my work documents and popsi' details on the 24th of sept. They gave me 2 working days which was friday and monday so I submitted all on 28th sept and another long wait. On monday Bukie said babe call these people someone on nairaland has the same time line with you. So I sent a mail and they said a decision has been made. Tuesday morning TLs sent a mail. I started tracking.. I lost sleep..yesterday she called me I should just go to DHL office and close work with them. We were all nervous
I got to DHL just about the time the delivery guy came in from Port Harcourt..got my parcel.. I couldnt wait to see the inside.. Visa granted since 03 oct.. God be praised
I declared my visa refusal of 2018 and felt that was the reason I was been questioned because of the amount of money in that account when I was refused.
Thanks to everyone on here and especially to Bukie. See you all at the top..
Congratulations dear.

It's EgyptAir o.

What airline is this as it is quite strange for the airline to request for a yellow card.

Does anyone know if Kenya Airways offers free hotel for long layover like that of Egyptair in Cairo? Thanks.

KQ doesn't offer a free hotel.
As someone has said, there is a Sheraton in the airport area. Their prices used to be high pre-Covid, but might be flexible now. But I don't think you can leave the airport transit zone with the Covid situation anyway. JKIA is a neat and clean airport, but small and with no distraction opportunities for the 13 hours. You'll have to manage.

It has been a long journey!
With 2 visa refusals from US and Canada for me, 4 visa refusals for my hubby (2 from US alone this year)...it was a journey full of faith, prayers and determination. So many errors along the way, issues with my hubby's passport made us do a new passport within a week. It was a mental hurdle for us all but thank GOD it finally ended in PRAISE!!

Thanks to everyone here@mimilyrics, justwise, and so many others who I picked your brain on how to make this possible..you guys are 10 zillion much. With this, I draw the curtain on my constant commentary here as school work has started in earnest and I need to switch focus from applicant to student mode (LOL).

I pray for all those who are waiting, about applying or have applied..the same God that made ours a success in spite of everything, will do the same for you. Stay strong guys..the race is not to the swift nor to the strong but to him whom God shows mercy. I will miss you all but I gotta move on now..

Adieus Amigos! Au revoir mes amis!

Congratulations to you and your family
