Young man, tell us exactly what you are doing in life now? If you are not yet feeding yourself (at the very least, then SHUT UP!!!!)
Typical foolish nigerian proverb. Keep allowing the older generation to be deceiving you. Stupid set of people

Why are Nigerians above the age of 40 so unfortunate and extremely stupid. You guys were born when the British left Nigeria. They handed over a country with dreams and a bright future but you managed to ruin it and wreck it for future generations. Your mates who also took control of their countries in the same time periods have built their nations to first world status while you have generated poverty and hopelessness for Nigerians. Most millennials were born from 1985 to 1995. What did we meet? Honestly this country has been a shithole from birth and it has managed to get worst in recent years. As of last year I could cook a good meal with 1000 naira. It's impossible to do so today. How much do I make? What is the average Nigerian salary? How many jobs even exist in this useless shithole.

The most annoying thing about this failed generation is they still have mouth to talk back on the youths that the youths are the ones who ruined Nigeria. Ruined Nigeria with what. Look at the fool called myBraine. How can one person be so foolish and he thinks he's making any sense. Nigerians should be excluded from technology and embrace subsistence farming. Please name one country in the world where subsistence farming made them a trillion dollar economy which is what Nigeria desperately needs for our booming population. The endsars protest going on go and check the people against the movement are Nigerians within that age range. People that feel that you can't make any money online. They don't know the world has changed. They don't know it's possible to sit down in Nigeria and work with big companies in silicon valley and earn millions. They don't know the millions many people make monthly trading crypto and Forex. When bbnaija was showing they said the youths are distracted now it has ended and the youths are out and you are abusing them.

Nigerians above 40 why are you so unfortunate? Your mates built south Korea, Singapore, Japan, Vietnam you guys left poverty for all of us.
Idiiotta! It's buharis age grade that destroyed this country with their untamed hate! Those weird uncles in their 60s and 70s... It's like you are in your 30s and so stylishly trying to shift the blame. See your oblong head.. If you can blame those in their 40s, born several years after the war, you can as well join those in their 30s in the blame game! Those who destroyed Nigeria are known as the class of 66! The emerged in 1966, through very bloody coups, killed many of their friends, started off a war that nearly gulped 5 million people, took the whole country hostage ever since and have been Changing leadership between themselves, sometimes twice because they don't trust any other entrants..

You're unintelligent. Shouting up and down due to sentiments does not mean you're right.

While the man you shower your aggression on might not be totally correct (I get his point) , you're totally wrong to say that Forex and cryptocurrency can do any good to the economy.

To rebuild the economy , there is need to rebuild the means of production. Silicone valley has Apple (you buy their iPhones, iPads, MacBooks plus shares), Facebook (companies spend millions of dollars daily for Facebook ads plus shares), PayPal, Tesla etc all work to strengthen the American dollar.

Their equivalents in Nigeria are Innoson, Flutterwave , Interswitch and paystack. These companies can never grow like those of Silicone valley. They have grown in Africa where they are expected to grow because North America, Europe and Asia , South America and Australia cannot trust finish goods from Africa. America cannot allow a decent Huawei or Tiktok in its country , how much more a Flutterwave or Interswitch coming from a country stereotyped as that of citizens with career fraudsters.

Your forex or cryptocurrency adds nothing to the Nigerian economy it only puts food on your table.

Billionaires in Nigeria are either producing and selling . The multi millionaires at Nnewi, Dangote produces salt, sugar , cement(billionaire) , BUA Cement, agriculture(billionaire) , Adenuga (telecom, oil billionaire)

Basic demand and supply will always apply. If every youth in Nigeria earns $1000 a month from Forex and the production of rice does not increase in the country (for instance) , the few bags of rice available will have to go for $500 per bag because there is shortage and for every $100 dollars you offer to buy a bag of rice , a richer buyer offers $2000 for that same bag.

Lack of production and low export is the problem of our economy. The person you are insulting understands more than you.

Before I forget, Google Norway. They make billions of dollars monthly from just fishing, a single branch of Agriculture.

This is bullshit. A lot of people are very willing to produce in terms of agriculture but Fulani herdsmen won't let them. Haven't you been reading the news? Rice was cheap before. It got expensive because the borders got closed and we weren't sufficient in its production. Norway makes billions of dollars from fishing but in terms of percentage how much percentage does agriculture contribute to its GDP. The answer is down below. I repeat mention one country with a trillion dollar economy from subsistence agriculture. If you can't hold your peace. Buharist. As for the west not trusting finished goods from Africa. That's the greatest lie on earth. Get your goods up to par and everyone will rush them. You cant produce inferior goods just as we do in Nigeria and expect it to be accepted abroad.

Just like Nigeria , oil contributes to the rest of Norway's GDP.

Norway, Saudi Arabia and UAE all have a population of less than 30 million combined , while Nigeria has a population of 200 million.

Blame population outburst (Malthusian Theory of population is visible in Nigeria).

Blame the over reliance of the populace on oil.

Blame the outrageous and unproductive civil service.

Blame the lack of innovation of the youths as it will only get worse in a generation where # school na scam once topped Twitter trends.

Oil doesn't contribute much to Norway's GDP. Do your research. It's not even up to 30 percent. Another blaming Nigerian youths. Blame Nigerian youths for what exactly. There are no jobs in Nigeria. The few that exist pay between 30 to 50k. How do you expect people to be innovative when they are still struggling to survive? Nigerian youths have absolutely no blame for the shithole Nigeria has become today.

You said the op was unintelligent and I have been reading to see why, but I am afraid you are just regurgitating all sorts of worn out rhetorics.... He is suggesting that the older generation of stupid uncles failed the present generation. Simple! All the examples you are labouring about to showcase only buttress his points! I checked his past posts. He's a Buharist. Notice how he stylishly avoids when I tell him to mention just one country that practices subsistence agriculture that has a trillion dollar economy. He started blaming the youths. I am sure he's in that age range. I don't think there's any youth in this country who isn't tired of the government and its unfriendly policies not even the northerners. Speak to many directly. They are tired.

I read your post again carefully and you confirmed what the boy/man you insulted stated.

If we have $50 billion dollars in a foreign reserve + circulation (bureau the changers), Nigerians who love quick money and want to sell rice will have to take their naira and exchange it for dollars to purchase parboiled rice in Thailand. Thailand won't receive naira but dollars. Since Nigerians love rice so much the total amount we pay Thailand for rice may be $1billon dollars yearly which will make dollars in our reserve $49 billion dollars and that in the reserve of Thailand +1 billion dollars.

It's a waste of foreign reserve to purchase what you can actually buy when we have enough land to produce even excess. You have agreed from the bold that rice is not sufficient and thereby agree that if more Nigerian Youths delved into its production, they'll earn a living from local sales and boost the dollar reserve of the country by just increased rice production.

I won't even bother arguing the Forex but I said it before. A lot of Nigerians who are actually interested in agriculture are willing to produce. I for one I am not because it's uncertain and very expensive to get into. But a lot of people who can cope with the subsistence style of it are actually ready but the farms aren't safe. Feeding yourself and maintaining a roof over your head is a sign of resourcefulness, responsibility and independence together meaning living in the real world. These are the people that can legitimately criticise government and the older generations. I won’t accept any nonsense criticism from a grown up ‘kid’ who is still a dependent child.

Bullshit bros. Nigerian youths built paystack, flutterwaves, thriveagric, nairaland. Infact the list is endless. A product I pushed to production. My own product is currently being used by 3000 people daily. Nigeria has the most advanced tech sector in Africa. There are more funds coming into the tech sector in Nigeria than even other countries in Africa but how do the oldies pay us back? Ban Gokada and opay and send hundreds of people to unemployment. Millions of dollars in investment gone. Using SARS to shoot and kill software developers thereby chasing talent away. Almost all the senior developers from andela are in Europe now. Try recruiting a senior developer for a tech company in Nigeria and see how difficult it is. The old people in Nigeria are the problem men.
Agreed that Nigerian youths built paystack and Flutterwave. But 70% equity in those firms are owned by foreign investors. Please check how much was raised through crowd funding of those companies from abroad and how much of ownership the founders have left. Worst is that they have been reduced to local and regional payment gateways.

Gokada was owned by young Bangladesh millionaire while Opay is almost 100% Chinese.

Nairaland has no economic value to Nigeria.

I'm not blaming our parents per se, the blame is on every Nigerian elders who had it easy with the oil boom and good economy but refused to build the nation though they had the (political) power or backing to do so, our parents inclusive.

Agreed that Nigerian youths built paystack and Flutterwave. But 70% equity in those firms are owned by foreign investors. Please check how much was raised through crowd funding of those companies from abroad and how much of ownership the founders have left.

Gokada was owned by young Bangladesh millionaire while Opay is almost 100% Chinese.

Nairaland has no economic value to Nigeria.
Not true. Nairaland has a lot of economic value to Nigeria. A lot of Nigerian businessmen started their businesses on nairaland. Akin alabi started here on nairaland likewise so many others. Even when I started my first business. My first sale was through nairaland. Till today I still get people calling me related to that business from nairaland. Nairaland is the cheapest form of advertising available to a Nigerian business. Foreigners invest in every business. Do you know how much the Arabs have invested in American top tech companies? Nigeria is even killing it's creative youth. Software engineers are in demand worldwide and a lot of countries are making it easy for them to migrate. Estonia just introduced a freelance visa, Spain same, Antigua and Barbuda same. Germany introduced a job seeker visa to lure in IT and healthcare workers. If all the nonsense the old people do is allowed to continue it's just gonna be them in this country because oil is loosing relevance. I would like to see how much Forex subsistence farming will generate for Nigeria. The same subsistence farming done in Niger and Chad.
