Tim Duncan, Ginobili, Tony Parker were players that could barely jump over a kerb, we saw Jokic dismantling teams with zero leaping abilities

What does verticals have to do with fundamentals, footwork and ball handling and basketball IQ. If verticals was what it took then Aaron Gordon should be the best player in the league

There are players who solely build their game and career on athleticism. If you cant admit the importance of athleticism in basketball, there's no point arguing with you.

WeissVonner:

Steph played with a knee injury? first i'm hearing of it. And do you not blame LeBron for losing without both Kyrie and Love in 2015? That was a hobbled reflection of the Lakers and you know it. Credit to him, that was still the best team he beat.
He had a sprained MCL do your research. Anyway don't worry about who I blame or who I don't blame, all I know is once you hit the court you're good enough to play.

If you can play 41 minutes per game in 4 of 5 games then you're clearly not hobbled enough.

Hobbled is the Miami Heat right now vs LeNomad

WeissVonner:

I think its worth pointing out that that Spurs team was coached by arguably the greatest coach of all time.
Unless Popovich has started playing basketball. Immaterial

WeissVonner:

At least he had a competent front office that showed some promise.

Good, I have never blamed any player for going to another team to compete against another established team.
What would you have had the Cavs realistically do? Who were the marquee free agents running to Cleveland?

Who you choose to blame or commend on whatever grounds is not my business really

WeissVonner:

Be honest, what would you have said if LeBron had joined the Celtics in 2010 after immediately losing to them?
I would have asked where did they get the cap space

WeissVonner:

Its not just Bron fans, everyone with a iota of sense can see how insipid KDs move was. Is anyone blaming him for creating a formidable team with Kyrie now? There are moves borne out of trying to compete, KDs move was just a proverbial cant beat them join them kind of move. Thats the epitome of weakness.
That is borne out of hypocrisy and double standards. My shit stinks less than yours mentality. Where was this energy for Ray Allen when he joined a team that already had Bron, Bosh and Wade? Why was there no outrage from you lot? How is it competing if you add him to an already stacked team.

So trying to add Kawhi to a team already with AD and LeNomad is "trying to compete" yeye dey smell

WeissVonner:

I'm happy for KD, One ring with the Nets will be more valuable than those two with the Warriors. Now we'll see what he's really made of.

Without Kawhi, as far back as January when you lot were still high on the Clippers, Bron came out and said he felt the Lakers had enough to win a championship. Kawhi is a luxury.
It's a no-brainer a ring with the Nets would enhance KD's legacy. I don't think any objective person was including LeNomad in the GOAT discussion till he won in Cleveland

WeissVonner:

Thats neither here no there. Has nothing to do with how top heavy the 90s was.

And both teams would arguably beat any team Jordan faced in the finals. If they are such horrible one seeds, how did they make the finals?
How are this year's Cavs, Knicks, Timberwolves any better than the bottom feeders of that era?

Isaiah Thomas Celtics and a rubbish Pistons team without Ben Wallace would beat Kevin Johnson and Barkley? Payton, Malone and the Lakers? What a joke

Your guy literally beat two .500 teams to get to a conference finals. The first decent team he faced he started shooting 38% from the field while averaging 6 turnovers per game

WeissVonner:

Posting one or two videos of Jordan facing zone doesn't change the fact that for the most part of the era he played in it was difficult for teams to pull it off consistently because it would be deemed illegal.

The argument was never about MJ guarding Magic but rather the fact that Magic torched him which you can't deny. It was also about proving how Pippen alleviated some of those duties which i proved.

There are several clips showing that MJ faced zone. We have coaches like George Karl literally admitting they played zone on MJ. Try another line. Zone is an overrated defense anyway

There you go lying again. You claimed MJ only focused on scoring and outsourced defending to Pippen only guarding little guys, then you claimed Magic torched Pippen, torching would imply he was shooting astronomically better than his average. Lo and behold the game you were referring to he literally took 5 shots

Then you claimed Phil Jackson switching Pippen made the difference but lo and behold in the pivotal Game 3 where Scottie fouled out early who guarded Magic? That would be MJ. Then you went ahead to contradict yourself by posting stats that literally showed MJ guarding Magic for 60% of his possessions which is unheard of for the #1 offensive option to do guarding the opposition's best player majority of the time

Lakers planning to start Caruso tonight.

Did you catch her using steroids? Why is her record still standing

She never ever failed a drug test even after being singled out for rigorous testing. You guys should stop disrespecting the dead with spurious allegations just to defend LeNomad and athletes of this era. Show some decency

Smh. Just speechless.

My top 5 of all time based on unbiased skill setup:
1. Jordan
2. Lebron
3. Magic
4. Olajuwon
5. Between Bird/Kareem

Honorable mention in Top 10 should be Kevin Durant, Duncan.

That guy called Durant (if he leads to win another chip, he should be clearly ahead of bird, worthy, pippen, Barkley, Malone) as a forward. No homo.
Durant is at worst a Top-10 ever to me. No one with that height has ever shot the ball so well in the history of the league.
And he depends the least on physical a contact than any other great player in anyone's TOP10.
if only he stayed as OKC and lead to a title, he shd clearly be in Top-10 to Top-8 ever by now.

But if u ask me top10 ever with bias to storylines, inspirational influence, career attraction, who I loved from my heart. Having one reason or another to just love the player.

1. Jordan
2. Iverson
3. Lebron
4. John Stockton
5. Magic/bird

Then best players currently and for past 5seasons;

1. Lebron
2. Durant
3. Curry
4. Kawhi(for showing up in 2 NBA finals)
5. Harden/Anthony Davis
At least you're a Jordan fan who is objective and sincere about other superstars(insert popular name here). That's really hard to find on this thread.

u are welcome to the game/NBA. its never tooo late.

and I assure u that u are on the right track by following this thread.
but I wonder why Durant isn't in ur top5 in the league.

durant is on anybody's TOP3. I just hope his injuries/hiatus wouldn't affect his return to the game.

u need to catch up with other legends though. only Kobe should be in that ur list of legends

I listed only those I've watched play
Didn't get to see much of Durant in the finals last year, I'm not sure he played throughout this season tho

For the legends I hear of Jordan jabbar and more
With time I'll check out their clips on tube
Thanks

This Duncan Robinson kid man. Caruso needs to be absolutely glued to him. Can't allow him to go off again.

These refs have fvcking started again. SMH
Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 1:00am On Oct 12, 2020
One thing has been clear throughout these playoffs. The Lakers need some proper shooters in this off season. They got away with it this year they won't get away with it next year. The 3 point shooting this disparity in this series is just awful. Every game you think to yourself they cant shoot this badly throughout the game but somehow they do.
Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 1:03am On Oct 12, 2020
If Jimmy Butler can be making 3s guys like Green and Kuzma have no friggin excuse.
Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 1:12am On Oct 12, 2020
Kuzma is a Miami Heat player, it all makes sense now.
Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 1:15am On Oct 12, 2020
The Lakers were 1/8 from deep in the first quarter and led by 8. All due to great defense.
Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 1:21am On Oct 12, 2020
Rondo was one of the players I felt really needed to play better this game. So far he's been magnificent.
Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 1:28am On Oct 12, 2020
Jae Crowders sole mission this series has been to hard foul LeBron wherever he sees him.

Rondo for finals MVP.

AD and Caruso have been monstrous on the defensive end. The Lakers are locked in, this series was never supposed to be this close.

The best thing haters on this thread could have done during this series was shut up and accept that LeBron was going to win his 4th ring. But no, they decided to run their mouths. Even when the Lakers were a game from winning the championship, they still trolled...the audacity. They thought LeBron was going to blow a 3-1 lead? Like seriously?
