Have you not come across a TV program or a radio program when a caller deviate from the point of discussion he/she will be cut off. Therefore sending a message to the next caller that your tv station don't want to discuss such issues because of its sensitive nature.
She did what any reasonable Igbo will do by walking out on that program. You can't be mocking her tribe and expect her to keep mute and she paid the ultimate price of getting sacked. Talk of service to her people.
Today she still came out strong and that is the igbo spirit.

Budalion can be a mini god to the Yorubas but Budalion is nothing to the igbos.

She was totally unprofessional. If she felt too upset to respond to the caller, she could have turned to her cohost and asked her to respond to the caller. Stop talking like that is what an Igbo person will do. I know quite a number of Igbos and I know they won’t have behaved like her. Her case is not one of tribalism. When she was employed, why did she not cry “tribalism!’ She should learn to be diplomatic and humble.

Lagos is still not part of "yorubaland".
Thw truth is you Yoruba are trying to invade Lagos and you are afraid that the Igbos are also trying to invade Lagos. You don't want competition.
You Yoruba have very much bastardised Lagos:
To you guys:
1) Ogun belongs to Ogun people
2) osun belongs to osun people
3) oyo belongs to oyo people
4) Lagos belongs to all yorubas.

This is the mentality of an invading bunch of crusaders.
Yoruba are aliens in Lagos trying to take over from the locals

Wow!

See a psychiatrist immediately. This your delusion has gone out of hand. Who did this to you?

Going from the response on the first couple of pages, it seems a lot of posters here have never worked in a structured organization. What that lady did was highly unprofessional and deserving of a sack. You don't go against your employer then walk away from your job and expect a slap on the wrist kind of punishment. Tribal sentiments asides, she was wrong and the sack was not far fetched.

Typical chest beating Osu

Who told you Igbo are the highest employers of Labour?

Talking as if Yoruba and South West are not the one preventing you from starving to death in your Barren region.

What a touching story. This country can never be one!

Why do Yorubas hate Igbos this much??
put it in a proper way: Why do we hate ourselves so much?

I have lived in the North and South, have been opportuned to interact with Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo. I kept asking myself, why the so much hate?

Bros I DONT hate Igbo, I DONT!

I just want our Yoruba territory, our only homeland on earth to remain intact!

Intact? Have you ever seen Igbos fighting Yorubas in Yoruba land? Have you seen Igbos creating problems in your land? The only people that you guys always have problem with are the Hausas and yet all you guys keep saying is Yeebos Yeebos upandan.

Do not push this narrative. Oba Akiolu's tongue was loose and the utterance was wreckless but Sandra acted unprofessionally. Broadcasters and journalists take far worse shvt and the option is always very much the same in the end; swallow everything and pretend you are unaware of what is going on while you are dying inside or take the high route and walk away.

Any media house will fire her for what she did. You can't walk out on a live show just like that and expect the management to overlook it. The topic is super sensitive and any right thinking person would have asked the producer to sit them out while any of the other ladies take charge. What matters the most is knowing yourself, acknowledging your weaknesses and and not overestimating your strengths. She went on to anchor the show thinking she could handle it but made a mess of it.

Every media house in Nigeria currently is biased. I recall doing some excellent feature stories back then and it didn't make the publications because the editor thought publishing them would cost lots of people their jobs. The paper and press house is owned by the same 'Bourdillion man' and the then editor is now a commissioner in Sanwoolu's government.

Was her sack right? Yes, it was. However, this does not imply that Oba Akiolu is sensible. No job is easy.

All these passing judgement on this lady don’t forget we are all humans. Most people that are prone to judging people forget that they can even make the same mistake or even worse given the same situation...judge less...Karma will soon catchup with your human weaknesses

Some people think they are above the law and can not be sanctioned in anyway because of their tribe and ethnicity.

I always knew you were a closet bigot

Now here you are
Revealing yourself

No wonder when I make scathing remarks about the failed president in Aso rock
You always jump out to launch missiles at me

I have only one advice for you
Forget all these people you feel so strongly about (the likes of Tinubu and co)

Purge yourself of bigotry

It will do you a lot of good.
And before you accuse me of being an "ipob miscreant"

I will reiterate again
I am NOT one
Those ones need rehab too...

Odę! Which heritage are you protecting? Your region is a conquered territory and the Hausas are dealing with your people front and back on a daily basis while you're out there shouting Igbo Igbo upandan.

The only conquered territory in Nigeria is South East, South East was conquered after we wasted 3 million of your generation and Ojukwu ran away to Ivory Coast in women's attire.

Mugu! The last time I heard, Nigerian port Authority opined that 70% of container goods coming through the Lagos sea port are designated to the east. So Igbos are busy, self employed and industrious not waiting for anyone to get handouts.
