Africans generally, especially Nigerians behave like zombies. It's just in our DNA . All it takes is just for 1 person to lead an action and the rest will follow without asking questions. In as much as I think the edo prison break is an insider job, we all saw protesters getting overjoyed that prisoners are escaping, some of the escapees are murderers, robbers, kidnappers oh. Not even thinking about the implications. Tomorrow those escapees will still join the protest and go to commit more crimes, probably try to to to a police station and free more criminals.

As much as the protest started as a peaceful protest, it only takes 1 or 2 people from the protesters to turn violent like attack a police post, the rest will follow. This is a country where if 1 person in a market shouts ole ole on anyone (even when he's not sure he's the thief), before u know it another person would give him a dirty slap and before he can try to explain himself a mob would already be on him beating him up without asking what he did. And before I can say jack he's already set ablaze. Now ask any of the attackers what he did they will tell u he's a thief. What did he steal? They will say they don't know. That's how daft many people in this country are. And this is why this protest can easily turn into violence because our mentality is just weak.
Dont fall for the trap the government has set up. They wanted this reaction. Now they got it. Hoodlums hijacked and freed prisoners. Not protesters

Nice

Funny enough. The comments above clearly indicates that most people still don't know that we have moved from peaceful protest to a revolution
Am in Benin city

And moreover So many people are in there for crimes they did not commit.
It is a no no for criminal to break out from prison. If justice will be given then let us correct the process.

Those actions are not the protesters. It is the work of hired thugs and hoodlums

I think its time to end the protest, that is when it will be easier to identify hoodlums disguised as protesters. People don't know what is looming, it might even get to a point where to buy common food would be very difficult by the time looting starts. Shey during lockdown pharmacies and market places were opened, if this turns into an anarchy pharmacies and markets won't open for the fear of being robbed.

These type of people are very selfish and part of the are bastardized Idiots milking the nation. See this mumu Is talking about food lol. Let the Shiiithole burn Into pieces, I give no bleeps. Very useless nation filled with Useless greedy self centered bast.ardz......

You are sick.

Revolution in a democracy?

When you have plausible change of government every four years through the ballot box, depending of the vite of the majority?

Or you think forceful change of government guarantees prosperity for a nation?

How many countries in a democracy, became prosperous after a "revolution"?

Abusing you means degrading myself, after looking at your profile all I can see is someone without a background.

Feminist Coalition who has been sponsoring the protests are a faceless group in abroad.
Stupid youths, suddenly believe they have power made it their job to block the roads and frustrate government, not knowing it is themselves they are frustrating.
Other states copied it, now they have used it to destroy law and order.
The two main prisons in a massive Edo state has been let out open. Expect cultism and crime in that state to triple and of course no police to restore law and order unless military comes in.
The protests have done nothing more than taking Nigeria backwards. Criminals, cultists and kidnappers are extremely happy that there is less police presence on the streets. Let the blockade protests end now.

You are a very stupid person.

My dear, what you are seing is the extent of protest. The government will surfer it and the people will surfer it too.
When criminals are let loose, the rich are in trouble. Since they refused to do what is right ,the result is what you are witnessing. Some people are in that prisôn for years without no trial ,no case file. A lot of injustice in the country. We need restructuring. Let there be true federalism. Let there be creation of state police.
If you dont come out and make your voice count, too bad.

I guess the CCTVs in Benin prisons are not working? The NPS allocations increased by N4Billion in 2015 to N16Billion yearly from 2016 to 2018, that’s circa N50Billion for 240 prisons. They procured 245 vehicles between 2016-17 & spent N800M on firearms, but none on surveillance cameras? Who's fooling who? There can't be a prison break without any form of repel assault from the police and prison guards. Where were they? How many casualties was recorded? Nigeria is just one massive fückēd up jungle, I'm telling you that for free.

It has turned violent already.

It's even more dangerous now, just weeping for the people of Edo state. They finally used their own hands to destroy themselves,I even heard some of the escapee's had phones and earplugs with them immediately after escaping.

Your words are just facts bro and the example is next to none.

Nigeria is in a more deeper mess, believe you me dear reader.

You made valid points, it's a situation of he that is down fears no fall. This struggle would claim many innocent lives, even those neutral but the rich would always find a way to escape and not be hurt. Hopefully the protestors would have a leader soonest across the 36 states to interface with the government, because everyone cannot be speaking same time while human lives are been taken and prisoners released. My friends in npdc Benin couldn't go home as at when we spoke, two cars around there were burnt live, they were stuck in the office. Some girls were raped at ring road, Benin in broad daylight, how pathetic Benin became so suddenly. They even charged some soldiers to tell you how things have degenerated. The quicker they have genuine leaders to interface with the government, the better to save lives. Hopefully in one week or two, leaders would be chosen which would involve a reputable man of God who supports the movement, else, the bloodbath isn't surely what anyone is ready for. It is the beginning of war one knows, no one knows the ending. And sir buhari should even address the nation biko, and play a fatherly role and grant the masses wishes. This country no favor her citizen at all than the elites.

Indeed an animal Kingdom!
Why on earth will peaceful protesters release Prisoners? They seems to have forgotten the fact that many of this Prisoners were either Cultists, Rapists, Murderers, Armed Robbers or Kidnappers. We should not complain if the same Prisoners you released today turn Lions and Tigers in your environment and make life really unbearable for you all. You will have no Police to blame when this guys start raping your daughters, sisters, wives, mothers etc. No police to blame, when they start robbing and killing your dear ones. The Organizers of this Protest have missed it all totally. It is no longer a Protest to reform or restructure the system. I can see the Work of some dubious and selfish Elements in the society.
I call on the President, governors, Kings and good Pastors if at all there is any in the present day Nigeria to act and bring sanity to the country again. Regarding Edo State specifically, i think the Oba should call People to order now since no one wants to listen to the politicians again. The earlier we take action to stop this today, the better for us all tomorrow. If not we can but only have ourselves to blame. To all Youths i say go home and give the government the opportunity to respond to your peaceful Protest till now. Destroying properties and releasing Prisoners is just a setback. Dont allow the few dubious, selfish and wicked elements in the society manipulate you. Let them know, that you are clever than them and that this is all about your future and your generations thereafter.

May God grant our leaders at this tough time the wisdom to listen to the people and make favourable decions for them.
God bless Nigeria
God bless Edo State.

You're not as smart as you think you are.

If you're inferring that peaceful protesters (without weapons) broke into a maximum security prison and flung open all the prison doors for prisoners to escape without resistance or even a single gun shot fired then you're part of the problem Nigeria has.
