Confirmed.

This decision is inevitable if you ask me, we all saw it coming. Peaceful protest can no longer take place alongside lawlessness. Government must restore law and order before the situation gets out of hand.
who's causing lawlessness, government sponsored thugs or the peaceful protesters? Sanwoolu simply proved he was the one who sent those hoodlums to disperse and unleash injuries on the well-coordinated protesters, which he earlier on denied.

4pm Curfew in Benin yesterday, 4pm Curfew in Lagos today, same script different locations.

What were you expecting before? Let the criminality continues. Edo is in soup already for many months to come.

Shameless lots undecided

Meanwhile "Now that there's a curfew in Lagos, all the policemen that couldn't stop the thugs will reappear". shocked

Because they were instructed to avoid confrontation.

What privilege? When did protesting against wanton killings by a redundant and useless security organisation turn to "abusing the privilege"?

Suffer no dey tire you? To see people being killed unjustly and for no reason whatsoever no dey pain you?
What are you typing? I was one of the very active protesters during the first 5 days. After SARS was disbanded and its officers recalled, sensible people like myself figured out that the best strategy to adopt is to withdraw from the demonstration and await further policing reform from the government. If there will not be any, we then return to the streets.

People have occupied major roads, denying other citizens freedom of movement. They have beared the inconveniences the demonstration posed for more than a week, it is logical that protesters withdraw and see what shape the situation will take eventually not the mindless vandalism and extortion going on in some part of the country.

And please stop "killings no dey tire you" blackmail? Do you know how many people have lost their lives because of the unavailability of urgent medical care since the roads are blocked?

I respect and follow your posts alot but please rest!

What if they defy the curfew and the number of people protesting are very high? How do you disperse such huge crowd? By the way, the protest should be aligning towards ending bad government.

Can you stay inside tear gas and face mobile police or can you take a bullet or rubber bullet

Lol... Whether it's a lie or not, you're about to find out. Mumu youth are littered everywhere in Nigeria. When you critically analyse government's strategy to them, the mumu people would show emotion instead of planning.

Let's wait and see the birth of the new Nigeria now that there is a curfew.

Let's watch and see.

Wike banned protest in Rivers, yet people trooped out in their numbers for the protest

FCTA banned protest in Abuja, it that deter the youths or stop the protest, the answer is NO.

The power of the people is stronger than the people in power be it army, police, navy, etc..

You still don't understand the power the people wield when they unite.

The tempo must be sustained across board at all cost.

No retreat No surrender

What if it is the government that send those hoodlums to unleash mayhem so that they can have a good reason to stop the protest?
In many parts of the country, hoodlums had hijacked the peaceful protest, they even break into a police station to free prisoners in Edo, yet none of these hoodlums was arrested... and you don't see government hand in it?

hoodlums are not there to protest rather they were sponsored to attack the peaceful protesters. I condemn thuggery but no thanks to these same governors who sent them but later denied their actions. They knew once this happened, the sponsored hoodlums would cause chaos like burning of cars, unleashing injuries , etc, then they'd now say, the protest has turned violent and impose curfew. Gbam! Be that as it may, those guys aren't leaving the streets just like they defied the ban in FCT. Police go arrest taya.
