Confirmed.

This decision is inevitable if you ask me, we all saw it coming. Peaceful protest can no longer take place alongside lawlessness. Government must restore law and order before the situation gets out of hand.

I wonder how some of you manage to sleep at night?

If you think the oppressors won't fight back then you don't understand them. They will do anything within their power to make sure things stay the same way. If you think they will change anything then ask yourself why haven't they done it all this years!

We must fight them back by keep protesting. They are the few and we are the many. They know and understand that. This is a fight they will never win. We Move! No going back.

Why are we scared of death? We are all going to die someday anyways. What's the point of living if we aren't living? They can't kill everyone of us. We are not cowards. It is time we set ourselves free and the road to freedom is not given, we must take it by force. Sometimes in life we have to fight the war to win peace. We move! Curfew or no curfew we move!

Was the ist two weeks protests not peaceful? What did the president say about it? Now they are blaming protesters for damaging government properties. This is just the beginning

What if they defy the curfew and the number of people protesting are very high? How do you disperse such huge crowd? By the way, the protest should be aligning towards ending bad government.

Government will use soldiers armed with guns. Sebi we say no to police? Now soldiers go appear. Crime too go increase. Protests that should not exceed three days was taken over by greedy youths too who started to make billions out of it.

you talk like a fool. Why? When you were blocking the road did you consider the people that are going to IFO from lekki?
Many people are angry with the protesters now because of the road block and now the protest will not get the sympathy they are supposed to get.
Anybody that defy the government order will die in vain.

Who is this animal? So because people protest for the greater good and it conviences others. Does It makes the protest bad. If you are angry, go and die now. Protest will continue

Look at the man that exonerated Obaseki accusing Sanwo-Olu. You people want the country to burn down so that you can be happy and taunt those that voted for APC.
FYI, 24-hr curfew was first declared in Edo early yesterday so, this isn't about a party thing. Politicians should just decist from anything that could jeopardise the peaceful nature of the protest, please.

Read a similar post below. This is exactly what would happen to sanwoolu's order. People are tired, aren't you?

I disagree. There is no deliberate effort to disenfranchise anyone. The plain truth is that many youths in the south are apolitical. They seek alternative reality in entertainment and social media. During my nysc days in Kebbi, I saw what it was for citizens to turn out for registration and elections. As early as 6am after their morning prayers, they made the long trips from interior places like Gawasu, Gura-guri, that had no registration centers to Birnin Kebbi the capital. They waited patiently under the scorching sun, they didn't get discouraged and start insinuating that the Jonathan regime was trying to disenfranchise them. Look, we make too many excuses in the South.
Acidosis:

To end bad governance, you need to stand up for your right. How many PVC centres have you seen in the South since the last election? It's all part of what we are saying. 4 months to the election, new centres will emerge and millions of people would be told to leave their jobs to go queue, sweat and labour under the sun. Some states would even declare a work free day for collection of PVCs they failed distribute in 3 years.

If the government only remembers to give you PVC few weeks to a new election, it means they don't rate you in the first place. When you learn to stand up for your right, they will rate you.

I have honestly look at the way our politicians came out and play dirty to end this SARS and as it stands,,,youths can never win this fight.
What Nigerian youths needs to do is to restrategise and form a new political party and wait for them come 2023.
That battle field will determine who has the loudest voice

See... you have hit the nail on the head! This is exactly what I have been telling anyone that wants to hear. These protesters should channel their energy and unison towards forming a new political party or adopting a less known party ahead of 2023 elections. They can now galvanize the youths, their family members and colleagues to vote for this party and reject the APC and PDP outrightly at the elections. That is how to bring positive change, not endless and eventually aimless protests, that cannot change a government or their ways. They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks! Our Politicians cannot change things until they are voted out at the polls- presidential, house of assembly and gubernatorial.

That's the only way forward, not these hijacked protests that will lead us backwards, not forward!

I saw this coming, this is a great move. Many of our youths are senseless and thoughtless, shows that they are not ready to lead,

What is their point now and what are they asking for. Total collapse of the the country, destruction of jobs and businesses that the same youths and their parents depends on to survive?

I just don't get the sense and wisdom in endless day after day distraction of daily activities, I'd understand if the government is saying no to your demands or attacking you and your demands.

Please tell them.. they have lost focus!

What is going on right now has nothing to do with ENDSARS, it's basically mindless looting, destruction and economic sabotage. You can not keep shouting all over the place that you are the leaders of tomorrow while destroying your tomorrow.

If this is really about bad governance , why not just organize and strategize, start a youth centric political part, draw up a list of competent and credible youth leaders and get rid of these old politicians from top to bottom?

It's obvious that we have the power, the votes and the drive to change things for good, but shouting, disrupting and destroying the country is counter productive, it shouldn't be the only tools in the box or even our endgame.

The end game is total eradication of bad leadership and if you think that bad leadership will disappear or yield peacefully because you are blocking the streets, disrupting an destroying the country, you are sadly mistaken because you are effectively losing goodwill and inviting the government to move in and install law and order.

Leave the streets and go to the nearest drawing board to draw up a plan to take power respectfully, credibly and legitimately at the polls.

Stop being lazy, get off he streets, start thinking and behaving like responsible adults, start acting like real leaders with sense of duty, mental competence and leadership qualities to lead 200 million people , show the world that you are ready to lead.

You said it all... sadly and unfortunately, our youths are proving time and again that if power is given to them, this country will end up worse than Libya or Yemen!

I have some brethren from church who travelled to Kaduna for their brother's wedding. I spoke with one of them some minutes ago...they have returned back to Lagos..they just left the airport in an airport taxi cab...all roads out of the airport have been blocked by protesters...the driver has been touring the whole of Mafoluku looking for a way out but to no avail. We don't know when or how they will get home even with the curfew due to start from 4pm.
These my brethren are part of the masses that the protesters claim to be fighting for but alas, they are hurting them and thousands more but not Buhari or the house of assembly members or our Politicians.

A clear loss of vision and focus!
