It is surprising that Nigeria under an ex soldier would allow a foreign country to Carry out a military operation on our own soil.

Another surprising piece of news is that the CIA knew the whereabouts of the kidnapped victim. Is the CIA operating in Nigeria. I'm really shocked.

The CIA and NSA operate globally, everywhere and anywhere. The CIA knows more and will operate x20 times more effectively in Nigeria than all our Fulani intelligence and security agencies combined

I couldn't have been possible.
At least their aircraft will land in a military airstrip and oyinbo driver won't be driving hilux moving fighters and equipments across the landmass.

Beside that kidnapped farmer must be a US force man gathering information for the US. He can't just leave his country to Niger to farming.

Sense will not kii u

For America to send it's Army for the rescue if that man shows it might have been I. Nigeria on mission. Though I know America values the life of it's citizen.

Tactical and matured operation. Not like in Naija where speech would be circulated on media when it has not yet been read by the maker.

I wish they will one day come to rescue Nigeria from BH boys whether our govt agrees or not. With their intervention, within one week BH would have been a thing of the past.

Exactly my thoughts. Walton 27, left the big mighty America to become a Farmer in the Desert of Niger?

The black hawk did not jam the Pakistani radar systems. It’s special stealth design and low altitude flight made it invincible to radar. There was also a preceding, supplemental radar jamming platform deployed

U are correct , the crux of the matter is that the US has the capacity to evade spy gadget we have here which most times is even deployed by them..... In cases like this where information sharing can't be trusted to be classified the US can go ahead and inform it's ally after the operation has taken place, else the whole plan maybe in jeopardy which they won't like it to be in the first place...

No they didn't land anywhere... They flew their crew and landed through parachutes after coordination through black awk with their drone and the mission was carried out in less two hours. I red about how the mission was carried out yesterday. You people should stop defending mediocrity for humanity sake.

Also, do you think it is okay that a foreign spy agency should be operating in your own country?

This is just a diplomatic thanks for allowing them into our soil to conduct the operation, all of you above saying the Nigerian military was involved don't understand the message, did he thank the Nigerian military or the Nigerian government, you think if our military had a hand in it, they wouldn't have been loud with it, even we here in Nigeria did not know an operation was going on, our military that would loud all their strategies even before they attack boko haram, abegi make we hear word, America kudos to you guys...
if naija military had been involved, the American would have been dead by now

Everyone knows the US did not involve the Nigerian government that would definitely have tipped off the terrorists.
Nigeria is thoroughly embarrassed and wants to save face by planting this fake news.

This operation underscores how incapable Nigeria military is, and how much distrusted our government is by the international community in its bogus "fight" against Boko Haram .

You are kidding right? The CIA is everywhere. The National Security Agency is everywhere. The CIA has stations in most countries. In some cases, it will create a desk to cover a cluster of countries. They operate at will, especially in Africa. Their armed interdiction group is known as SAD (special activity group). These are special operators with extreme capabilities. There is no country on earth not ‘covered’ by the CIA at different levels of capabilities. America has interests everywhere, oil, terrorism, allies etc. They have informants in Govt (and yes including Nigeria’s govt!). They spy relentlessly on govts. In the Sahel, they build up intelligence on terrorists which they feed back to mothership (Langley). They have safe houses in most countries. Many ‘diplomats’ hold up in their embassies are spies in reality. America is a very deep state. The CIA is everywhere. They don’t need your permission to be where they are or to do what they do. They just do it!

I agree with you. I wouldn't be surprised if the military and our government are in severe pains by now because boko haram war is purely political. They hide a lot from us. Same US SEALS came when Jonathan was in government to help fight boko haram but the north hid vital information from them. Had america informed their government and military of their mission to kill bin laden who was living large close to their military base, the mission wouldn't have been successful. Pakistan deceived America that bin laden wasn't with them in Pakistan until the USA intelligence report proved otherwise and they hid the information from Pakistan. After the successful mission, same Pakistan who claimed solidarity with USA to fish out bin laden later accused USA of invading their sovereign state. You see?

The earlier we break away from these destroyers, the better. How many emirs in the north are against boko haram? How many of their sheiks are openly are against it? They have an agenda and I blame our Southern hungry and shameless politicians like tinubu who always shouted restructuring to suddenly drop the agitation for his political ambition which he will never get. We have taken our destiny in our own hands...WE MOVE!

The mission to annihilate Boko Haram was aborted as part of pressure against former President Jonathan Goodluck -- order from Obama.
