It's normal.i received from Conestoga last week, someone here also received from fanshew college yet both schools didn't make the list.
Just hope, we all make it on 17th November

IRCC just using readiness plan to control the inflow of students to Canada. So IRCC will pend some decisions for another 14days.

That's just the logic.

Pls I want someone to help me. My student visa was refused and my Gcms note came in, I found out that the VO took me for someone else because he said I submitted my uncle's business account meanwhile it was my husband's account who was the sponsor. They even referred to me as "he" .my school fees was $11500k per year and they quoted that it was 14k. They didn't acknowledge the fact that I have already paid have of my fees plus $750 deposit. Please how best can I approach this issue. Involving a lawyer is too expensive. Thank you.

Pls what is the meaning BVL, PPR, AIP? And which website with I apply for my Student permit and when will someone attend interview, is it before medical?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Ujeinijobog: 9:43pm On Nov 03, 2020
Hello all,

Please I'll appreciate if someone can help me with an answer. I just got my PPR and in the letter, ircc said they cannot issue visa for a date beyond the expiry of my passport. My passport will expire in April 2022 and this date will fall short of the one year I'll ordinarily be entitled to for my visa.

Please will the date on my passport will affect anything since it will expire before my program ends? On the contrary, is it a good idea to apply for a new one (considering the fact that I have to submit my passport to bad within 30 days)?
Also, if I don't apply for a new one, will it affect my status since the visa on my passport may not be up to a year?

Thank you.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by nayo10(m): 9:49pm On Nov 03, 2020
Hi,
BVL = biometrics validation letter, letter that shows the validity of biometrics
PPR = original passport request, if your application is approved then your passport will be needed to stamp the visa on
AIP = approval in principle, it was used during fall session for those who could not submit all the necessary documents due to covid 19. It simply state eligiblity has been passed. You can read the first 8 pages to know how to apply. I hope this helps

Finally it has landed. Got BVL yesterday but didn't say anything about it as I didn't want to jinx it. Today, PPR arrived.

First I want to thank everyone contributing on this platform. This platform is a national treasure, changing lives for good.

I became serious about my dreams of 'abroading' late last year. I have been trying schools but this time, I felt I should put all in. With little consultation I applied and got admitted to TRU. They reached out to me and referred me to their representative in Nigeria. People of God, as I speak to you, today is the first day I will be opening and seeing my cic account since August 1 when my application was submitted. The representative requested for the required documents and did all the filling. Not a penny was collected. The only thing they were clear about was the need for me to write killer SOP which I did.

It wouldn't make sense to bore you with long stories...

Documents submitted

Statement with a balance of 160k only.
Sponsor's SOA of 30kCAD and 8k USD
First term Tuition payment
Pensions statement 13m
SOP
LOA
Birth certificate
Degree certificate
Family form
Transcript
Work ID
No study leave letter
Work References
Marriage certificate
Payslip.
Sponsor's travel history
Letter of introduction from sponsor's employer
Letter of introduction from my employer

I think that was about it.

My application was submitted before I stumbled upon this tread. I saw a lot of things people are advised to add to to their application here and was scared for mine. Long story short, passport has been sent today too. Virgin passport and first time applicant.

God will bless everyone who has remained helpful here. It's really been a pleasure. Keep hope alive. Thank you all.

So sorry about that, by the way, do you have a 2.1, if yes , you should have applied to more than One School, by mailing more supervisor(Profs.) for thesis-based Masters Admission (based on their research interest & yours), It's not advisable to apply to only one skool,
enlarging your coasts on admission would have bin beneficial to you, you might have even bin able to get a Funded Masters.

I started my application with an agent. I gave him half payment, and he got me an admission. I am currently facing some issues with him, so I do not want him to continue with the processing. I intend to continue the processing myself now with the help of the gurus here. The agent sent me only the attached LOA to my email. I want to confirm if that’s the only thing I need from the school(or my agent) to be able to apply for the study permit myself. I am aware one of the necessary documents needed to apply for study permit is an official LOA with the school’s letterhead and everything. Is the attached LOA what they mean by official LOA?? Basically, my question is with the attached LOA, would it be possible to ditch my agent and continue the processing myself? I do not have the email and password he used to apply for the admission. Would that be a problem now or in the future?

Hello Honourable,

my submission is on the bolded. I think you might have issues with the email as that is the major medium of communication between the school and the applicant which is you and that might be difficult to change except you want to start another application with a different email.

I'd let the gurus take it from here.

Since I have the student ID number and I can prove beyond reasonable doubt that I am the applicant that got the admission, don’t you think I can mail the school requesting for change of email and password, and submitting my international passport and credentials as proof that I’m the genuine applicant? Let me give you a scenario that makes me feel this should be possible. My agent got a 2020 admission and I told him to defer to 2021. He said that would only be possible if I pay my tuition, and that the other option I have is for him to apply again, but I would have to pay a little more. I later decided to mail the school myself that I want my admission deferred without paying my fees. They responded to me and gave me a new letter of acceptance for 2021 admission. I am still confused on how this was possible, but that was how I got this new 2021 admission, without involving my agent.

Hello, Justmellow, Just wise, Frankrobbn1 and other great Gurus(pardon for not mentioning everyone) and visa hopefuls on this platform.

Great work our gurus and contributors are doing here. Your service to humanity will be rewarded abundantly by God. Your innermost heart desires shall be granted by God's grace.

Kindly advice.
As an international student expecting visa approval anytime from now to commence studies in fall 2020, can I take part in an internship that will commence in January to end before I begin classes? i.e if visa is approved can I do internship in Canada between January and June/July before I start my graduate studies in September 2021?
Thank you as I anticipate your kind responses.

Hi Goldmia,

Sure you can send email if there is something you think I can provide insights on. My timeline shows how I applied and the steps I followed in applying to the school and if you are interested in the same school, check out their website for more information. You can check my posts from earlier in the year for posts on how I got a supervisor. Click on my moniker and look through the old posts.

Best of luck.

Good morning gurus in the house, I have read a good number of pages, I respect the assistance been offered.
You guys are the Real MVPs.

Please i have some concerns, Just want to start preparing for my 2021 admission and visa application.

I graduated with 3.85/5 in Mechanical Engineering in 2016, and i am currently working with a FMCG company.

Looking to apply for Masters in either Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, I have seen that history in courses affects visa approval.

I need some inputs and guidance to decide but I'm looking at schools in Manitoba province.

I am seeing issues of funding too, and I am really scared seeing that people have 10, 15 million and still get denied. I don't have anything o, i support my family with most of my money, i depend on getting scholarships, i am fully persuaded i will get multiple ones, but do i still need to some money in my accounts to get the study permit.

And also contacting supervisors before admission is giving is another concern to me because I'm a newbie this admission.

Please gurus, help your boy moti sòrò sòkè oooo
