The love for Moyin has vanished from Fullhouse's eyes. He doesn't trust her anymore nor value her. I think they really needs to break up or their love has to be renewed again.

Moyin just destroyed am by asking for sex again

Chapter 12 (contd)

They left the house and entered the car. “Congrats on your new car once again, it’s beautiful” She commended. That was the first time she’ll board the new car. Fullhouse only told her about the car on phone.
“Thanks” He turned on the ignition and took off.
“On their way, he stopped at a suya joint. He also bought two loaves of bread and headed back to the car.
“When are you going back to school?” He asked while driving.
“Tomorrow morning. What’s the point staying for the weekend when Mummy will not return until Monday” She replied.
“You can stay for the weekend”
“No, I don’t think I’ll be comfortable at your parents’ place”
“Is it because Oreoluwa is not around?”
“I don’t even know but I’ll leave tomorrow morning”
“You leave on Sunday and I’ll take you back to school, deal?”
“I don’t want to stress you”
“I think that’s my decision to make, deal?”
“Deal” She replied. Some minutes later they arrived at the Adeyinka’s house.
“We are home” He said and parked the car inside the compound. They went and she was given a warm welcome by Fullhouse’s parents.
The very first night they got there, she watched as Fullhouse and his Mum, Mrs. Adeyinka fought over suya and that was where the fun started for her. Seeing mother and son play like age mates is something that really amazed her. That night, she slept in her friend’s room which Fullhouse quickly prepared for her when she got there.
The next day which was Saturday morning, she joined Mrs. Adeyinka in the kitchen. Fullhouse was cleaning the house, she wanted to help out but he didn’t allow her, reason why she went to the kitchen instead. After they finished cooking breakfast, Ireoluwa helped in setting the table.
“Go and call your brother. Tell him food is ready” Mrs. Adeyinka said to Ireoluwa warmly.
Virtually everybody in that house refers to Fullhouse as her brother and this made her feel like a part of the family. Fullhouse’s Dad, Mr. Adeyinka is the reserved type, an easy going man. He stays in his room most time.
Ireoluwa's Mum called and she was so happy to know that her daughter was having fun where she is. She also spoke with Fullhouse parents and thanked them for their hospitality. She promised to pay them a visit soon, so they can meet each other.
Ireoluwa wished Sunday wouldn’t come but it came. She had so much fun on Saturday, her stay worth it. The whole family returned from church on Sunday and had lunch together. Fullhouse told his parents that Ireoluwa will be leaving after lunch and they wished her a safe journey and advised her to take things easy in school. They promised to always call to check on her as well.
Mr. Adeyinka gave Ireoluwa five thousand naira when she was leaving while his wife, Mrs. Adeyinka packed food stuff for her. She handed her the sack bag where she packed the food stuff.
“I packed that dry fish that you told me you like” Mrs. Adeyinka said.
“Aww…..thank you Mummy” She said and knelt down to thank her.
They set out and left in Fullhouse's car. Surprisingly for Ireoluwa, her stay at Fullhouse's parents' turned out great. They treated her like their own daughter and she felt at home all through.
“So…..how was your weekend?” Fullhouse teased.
“Fun is an understatement Fullhouse. I had a really…. really great time and I so love your parents. And after all they did for me, taking care of me and all, Daddy still gave me money and Mummy also packed food stuff for me. That house really felt like home”
“Really!”
“I mean it. That was the first time I’ll enjoy something like that outside my home” She said, smiling.
“I’m glad you enjoyed your weekend” He said and the journey continued.
Hours later, they got to Ife. Fullhouse got to the front of her house and turned off the engine. Ireoluwa alighted, and opened the back door to carry her things that she kept at the back seat.
“Are you not coming in?” She asked.
“I’m not, I’m leaving right away”
“Why nau. Just relax a bit before hitting the road again” She implored.
“I won’t leave on time once I step into that room of yours”
“I won’t delay you. I’m serious!”
“And I don’t want a situation that you’ll start crying when I’m leaving”
“You know I’m much better than before, you’ve trained me on that” She said and smile.
He alighted and took the things she was carrying and they both entered her apartment.
He spent like forty minutes with her and told her he was leaving. Her facial expression changed.
“You promise….” He warned.
“I won’t cry, just go. I should hug you but I won’t so I won’t tear up”
“You are already close to doing that”
“I’m sorry to disappoint you”
“No need to be sorry, it’s your nature but at least you did better today. My baby girl is now mature” He said.
“I guess so”
“I’ll be leaving now” He said pointing at the door.
“Don’t bother to see me off. Take care” He said.
“You too and please drive safe”
“I will” Fullhouse said and left.

For me, I don't think Moyin sees herself being part of fullhouse's life in the long term. She fought with his colleagues, and refused to participate/attend the wedding, because she was forced to apologise. Somehow fullhouse have stayed true to his words and played the elder brother role to a tee(but it's possible Ireoluwa may be attached). When the person you call your soulmate can't hold a decent conversation, then you have every right to keep your ring to yourself. Moyin sees a forest where, while fullhouse walks on a tiled road. Thank Rachealfst. I'd be weary of one incapable of remorse.

CHAPTER 13
Moyin went to see her future parent inlaws. She explained to Fullhouse’s Parents all the issues they’ve been having in their relationship. She told them that Fullhouse is not taking the relationship serious and not loving her anymore the way he used to. She just kept going on and on giving them different instances. After she was through with all her complains, Daddy and Mummy Adeyinka assured her they’ll talk to their son and she left.
Daddy and Mummy Adeyinka, Fullhouse’s parents had been wondering what was keeping their son from tying the knot. They even thought maybe it was Moyin that wasn’t ready, so now they know the delay is not coming from her.
They call their son and ask him to see them after the close of work. He got there and was surprised to hear that Moyin visited them to discuss their relationship.
“Mummy! Daddy!” He said after his parents have landed.
“We are listening” Daddy Adeyinka said.
“I need to still take my time to watch Moyin. I don’t trust her one bit” He said.
“Have you even prayed about it?” Mummy Adeyinka asked.
“That’s what he should have done earlier. Don’t you think?” His father chirped in.
“And it’s not too late especially now that he’s having doubt” Mummy Adeyinka said.
“You are right but Fullhouse; this weren’t like this between you two before. What brought about this trust issues?” Daddy Adeyinka asked.
Fullhouse doesn’t discuss anything that happens in his relationship with his parents but at this point, he had no choice.
“Something happened some months ago, Moyin came to my office and slapped one of my female colleagues because she felt the lady wants to steal her man”
“She did what!” Mummy Adeyinka exclaimed.
“That is just one out of the many things she’s done in the name of jealousy”
“I’m a woman too but I don’t like desperate women” His Mum said, not comfortable with what she was hearing about Moyin.
“Women like that can be dangerous” Daddy Adeyinka added.
“That incident made me break up with her but after much plea from our friends, I accepted her back but the thing is that after that incident she changed, though positively but to me it’s kind of fishy. And true to my suspicion, Moyin is back to her old self. I can hardly breathe with the way she monitors my life” He explained.
“We can still call her and talk to her. We can counsel her” Daddy Adeyinka said.
“Daddy you can do whatever you want. At least she came here behind me to report me, that is how cunny a woman she is. Did she think you people can force me into marrying her or what?”
“Son, just take it easy. Nobody is perfect we all have our flaws” Daddy Adeyinka said.
“I’m not disputing that fact Daddy, in fact I have flaws too but the question is, is it tolerable? I doubt if I can cope, for how long will I manage her flaws?”
“Me I’m still maintaining my stand. Let’s pray about it. I don’t want you to waste this girl's time” Says Mummy Adeyinka.
“Mum, I’m not wasting anyone’s time. I never force her to be with me. If she feels I don’t love her the way she wants me to, then she should just leave”
“My son, you are old enough to make decision for your life. You practically run a whole company. You should be able to fix your own life. Just do the right thing” Daddy Adeyinka concluded.
“God will direct you oko mi (my son) Talk things through with her, so gbo” (hope you’ve heard me)
“Mo ti gbo ma” (I’ve heard you ma) He prostated to thank them, then he left.

Gbotemi went on sabbatical leave, during the six weeks leave, his wife, Darasimi put to bed a bouncing baby girl, she was named Ifeoluwa. He was so happy that all this happened during his leave so be had enough time in his hand to take care of his family.
Fullhouse also went on his own six weeks leave immediately Gbotemi resumed. Moyin asked him how he wanted to spend it and he told her he’ll let her know when he comes up with a plan. Fullhouse knew the reason why Moyin asked that question, she wanted to process her leave to fall within the period of his own leave. She was used to doing that before but this time Fullhouse want to spend his leave alone.
He decided to tour some states within the country. That will keep Moyin out, she doesn’t like travelling. Anything outside Lagos is a ‘No’ for her.
After visiting like four resort centers across the country in his car, he didn’t travel by air or take any public transport, he drove himself to all those places and driving alone is fun to him.
He spent five weeks on his tour sleeping in hotels. He had been updating his friends and families about his movements all the while. He had one week left. He decided to return to Lagos to spend the remaining leave.
On his way from Benin, the home of art and culture, that was the last place he visited. He entered south west, and then he drove into Osun state. He saw the ‘Welcome to Osun state: The state of living spring’ Billboard. Something popped in his mind; he then swerved from Ilesha-Ife road and took to the route on his right.
He got to where he was going and parked his car. He brought out his phone and placed a call.
“Hello” He said.
“Mr. Traveler” She teased. “Hope you are enjoying your leave, I believe you are having fun” She said.
“Of course, I am” Fullhouse replied.
“This one that you have planned to tour the whole of Nigeria, which part are you right now, I didn’t get any update today”
“I just visited four states nau, that’s not the whole of Nigeria. Anyway, where are you?” Fullhouse asked.
“I’m still in the school premises, I just finished lecture and I’m about to head to the market. I want to cook myself some delicacies for the weekend” She informed.
“You are enjoying o, so what are you planning to cook?” He asked.
“Vegetable and meat stew with fluffy and smooth Semo”
“Wow! I’m salivating here. Keep on enjoying alone o” Fullhouse said.
“You think I’m enjoying, right. It’s been over a week that I took swallow. I was only feeding on concortion rice and noodles all through the week” She explained.
“Hmm….Anyway, this your vegetable and meat stew! My mouth is still watering”
“Don’t worry; when I’m done cooking, I'll Bluetooth it to you”
“Really! Bluetooth! I bet you, you won’t need a Bluetooth before I can eat my own portion”
“Do you want to fly to my place to eat the Semo and vegetable soup?”
“Trust me, I can. Anyway, take care and don’t take too long at the market” He said.
“Okay…bye…” She said and the line went off.
Fullhouse was in his car, he parked his car where anyone coming through the front gate, won’t notice his car.
An hour later or thereabout he saw her walked into the compound. She didn’t see any car, she just walked in freely. Ten minutes later, he alighted and locked the car and walked into her compound. He stood in front of her door and gave her a call.
“Fullhouse” She said on phone. She was in the kitchen trying to sort the things she brought from the market.
“Open the door” He said quietly so she won’t hear him from inside.
“What! Which door?” She asked.
“Your door of course”
“Fullhouse, I’m tired, don’t start with your pranks o. Anyway I’m back from the market” She said trying to ignore his pranks.
“Young Woman! Just open your door” He said and disconnected the call.
“Why is Fullhouse pranking me nau…” She tried to look through the window but the window is not positioned to see anyone in front of the door. So, she went back to the kitchen to continue what she was doing.
“What if he’s actually at the door” She said to herself.

They should just start dating already.

Though I understand fullhouse wanting more time, but his current actions, are not helping matters.
Giving an insecure person more reasons to feel insecured.

Somehow, fullhouse may not be as committed(I don't think commitment is the right word. I believe she's obssessed with the concept of marrying fullhouse) to Moyin because, her insecurities keeps driving a wedge between them. Thanks for the update.

Chapter 13(contd)
“What if he’s actually at the door” She said to herself. She then remembered he mentioned eating from the food she wanted to prepare. She left the kitchen and walked to the door and opened it.
Fullhouse was standing in front of her cladded in a blue jean and a red top. His phone and car key in his right hand. She was speechless at first.
“Seriously!” Ireoluwa said.
“I meant it when I said I’ll eat from that your semo and vegetable soup” He said and Ireoluwa jumped on him and the two hugged each other.
“Where’s your car?”
“I parked behind the house”
“Where were you when you called earlier?”
“I was already here and I saw you when you arrived”
“Fullhouse this is a great surprise. Come on in” Ireoluwa said with a wide smile.
“Let me re-park first, I’ll join you” He said and went back to where he parked his car and then parked in front of her apartment, Ireoluwa was still waiting for him outside, she had even helped him open the gate. When he was through, the two went inside together.
“My God, I still find it hard to believe that you are here” She said still amused.
“Me neither, I didn’t plan it, I just changed my mind immediately I drove into Osun state”
“I’m really sorry for keeping you outside waiting, I never imagined you waiting for me here. I would have come back home first to unlock the door before going to the market”
“That’s not your fault. I didn’t tell you. I was around”
“It’s really good to see you again” She said.
“Yea, I know it’s been long we saw each other and I’ve decided to spend the weekend here if you will allow me”
“It's a lie! You want to spend the weekend. Then this will be the best weekend ever” She hugged him.
“Let me call your parents first” He said and dialed her father’s number. He asked how well Fullhouse was enjoying his leave and he replied him. Fullhouse informed him that he’s at Ireoluwa place and he’ll be spending the weekend.
“That’s good. Your sister will be very happy. My regards to her” That was what Mr. Atanda said when Fullhouse told him he'll be staying for the weekend at Ireoluwa's place. Reason been that he so much trusted Fullhouse with his daughter, same with his wife.
After the call, he delivered Ireoluwa’s father’s message to her and she smiled.
“It’s a long journey, you need to shower. I will be in the kitchen to fix us something to eat” She said. He agreed and went to get his things from the car first. Both the back seat and the booth were filled up with his personal stuff including the things he bought while on his trip. He also got few things for his family and friends. He searched among the pack of things he stored on the back seat to get the stuff he got for Ireoluwa, he found it and picked it. He also carried his laptop, chargers and a change of clothes. He left the car and went into the bathroom to shower. Ireoluwa was already in the kitchen.
He changed into a white sleeveless top and blue joggers after he showered. He went into the kitchen to join Ireoluwa.
“What can I do to help?” He enquired from her.
“Just go and relax. There’s nothing here I can’t handle on my own”
“No, I insist. You know in my house men are not trained to sit in the parlour and watch TV when women are cooking”
“Really! I love that and I love your Mum more for that, I love the way she trained her male child” She said and he smiled. Fullhouse picked the washed vegetable and started cutting it. Ireoluwa was about to blend the pepper with an electric blender then the power supply went off.
“Ooo……they’ve taken the light and I need it”
“Sorry….” He teased still cutting the vegetables.
“I need light to blend this pepper nau”
“You should have done that first you know! You can’t rely on this unstable electricity”
“You are right, my mistake”
“Maybe you should use a manual blender instead” He suggested.
“My neighbour borrowed it and she hasn’t returned from school” Ireoluwa said.
“Huh!” He gave up.
“Let me quickly go and get fuel so I can make use of the generator”
“I never knew you had a generator”
“That’s because it’s at the back of the house, we have a generator house where everyone keep their generator” she explained.
“Okay. You know what! Continue with what you are doing let me go get the fuel. I have an empty gallon inside the booth, I’ll make use of that” He said. She agreed and thanked him for helping out.
He went in his car to get the fuel at the closest filling station. He returned and helped her switch on the generator set. And they continued with their cooking afterwards.
Finally, the food was ready, she served the food, the generator was still on as they settled down to eat from the same plate. The semo was in one flat plate and the vegetable soup in another plate. That was the first time Fullhouse ate food prepared by Ireoluwa and he complimented her culinary skills because the food taste really good.
Later in the evening around 6pm, they put off the generator and decided to take a stroll. They returned an hour later, Fullhouse remembered he hasn’t given her the thing he got for her. He brought out a shopping bag from where he kept his things and gave it to her. They now have light, so the halogen bulb was on.
She opened it and brought out a peach colour knee length gown that has a perfect design.
“Aww…..the gown is sweet, I love it. Thank you…..” She said but there are still some things left in the bag, she checked and brought out sanitary pads, bras and panties, most of which were her favourite colour, yellow.
“Fullhouse!” Ireoluwa spanked his shoulder.
“What did I do nau! I already told you I will buy you underwears” He shrugged.
“You actually said it and did it” She said laughing.
“Oh! You thought I was joking when I said it?” He gestured with his hand.
“It’s like I have to get use to this. My brother is something else” She rolled her eyes.
“Yea, just get use to it” He said.
“Thank you anyway, they are really lovely including the gown. Your wife will really enjoy you” She remarked.
“Hmm…I pray so” He nodded and thanked her for the head-bursting compliments.
At night they went to bed, the two slept on the same bed. Fullhouse even offered his chest as a pillow.
Their weekend was really fun; they watched movies, play games and gist, they also talk more about things that were personal to them.

******
On Monday morning, which was the day he was returning to Lagos. The two woke up early, since Ireoluwa has 8am lecture. She offered to make breakfast for him but he said he doesn’t like taking food when he’s travelling early in the morning. When she was ready for school, Fullhouse dropped her first at the lecture theatre.
They hugged each other. “Aww….This is good bye” Ireoluwa said sniffing.
“Miss me but don’t miss me too much to the point of getting me worried” Fullhouse said to her and she promised to do that. She waved him good bye and entered into the lecture theatre. Fullhouse left OAU and set out on his journey back to Lagos.
In between lectures, Ireoluwa called to check on him and he told her to just face her lectures that he’ll call her once he gets to Lagos.
Finally, he landed in Lagos. He entered into his apartment that he left for good five weeks. After calling everyone including Ireoluwa that he arrived safely, he started doing some cleaning in the house.
In the evening, after getting enough rest from his trip, he called Ireoluwa. Truth be told, he was also missing her. When her voice came through on phone she wasn’t sounding excited.
“Ireoluwa you are not fine. Talk to me”
“I’m fine. I just miss you but trust me I didn’t cry” She said.
“I believe you but you sound like someone who is really down. I miss you too but I’m not sounding the way you are right now. Do you want me to stop coming over to visit you? I want you to be stronger than this” He poured out.
“I think you should give me credit. Fullhouse, I didn’t shed a tear when you left unlike before”
“I know and thumbs up for that. So what can I do to lighten your mood?”
“Nothing, I'll be fine” She replied.
“Have you tried on those bras, hope I got the size correctly” He asked and she laughed so hard.
“Seriously! Is that the only way you can lighten my mood?”
“Yea! And I got you, it worked” He said. He knew she would react that way.
“Sure, it does” She said.
“Now answer my question” He demanded.
“No way will I answer that. You want to make me laugh, right and you’ve succeeded in doing so. Now I’m hanging up” Ireoluwa informed.
“Stop fronting. You are just shy to answer”
“Shy! You know when it comes to you, I’m never shy. I just choose not to answer you”
“Liar!”
“Me! Liar! Fine, come over next week and watch me wear those bras in your presence so you would know if they fit or not!”
“Blood of Jesus! Ire! Did you just say that?”
“Yea, I just proof to you that I’m not shy with you!” She pointed out.
“Huh! Wear bra in my presence! In fact I need to sanctify my ears and I’ll equally end this call before you say something worse” He said and disconnected. She laughed when she realized he had run.
Fullhouse was like ‘My Ireoluwa is something else’ as he dropped the phone on the bed shaking his head.
Fullhouse spent the remaining days of his leave indoor. While he was alone in the house, he kept on reflecting on what to do to make things better in his relationship. He asked himself some difficult questions which he couldn’t answer himself. He decided to let sleeping dogs lie. Like the cheerful person that he is, he won’t allow anything weigh him down, so he snapped out of it. Although, there’s something that kept coming to his mind and that was where he draws comfort from, He concluded that he and Moyin will be fine at the end of the day, that he is sure of.
Gbotemi, Moyin and his neighbor were the only ones who check up on him in the course of the week. Not forgetting to give them the things he bought for them. He went over to his parents’ house after service on Sunday to greet them. He also gave them their own gifts.
He resumed work the following day, his boss and colleagues were happy to have him back. He even bought drinks for his colleagues to celebrate his return.

Thanks for the update ma'am, full house doesn't know that he is in love with Ireoluwa. Soon he's eyes go clear. Its over between him and Moyin.

CHAPTER 14
Moyin gave Fullhouse a call when he was busy working in the office. She asked him to come over to her place when he closes from work but he told her if she wants to see him, she should come to his place instead. Moyin protested at first but because that was the only option she had to see him, she had no choice than to agree.
The two arrived Fullhouse’s apartment almost at the same time. They both sat down on the same couch in the sitting room. Moyin started talking and it was the same topic they’ve been dragging for months. Then she mentioned that she had change so as to please him and this struck a cord in Fullhouse’s nerve. He immediately pause her.
“This is exactly my fear Moyin. You changed so as to please me! You know what! The truth of the matter is that you didn’t change, you are only pretending so you can please me. You just said it yourself. Moyin and you know me well enough that I like ‘REAL’ and you are not!” He spoke directly to her face.
“I’m pretending abi. I’m pretending and I tolerated that girl all this while” She flared up.
“Hold on! Which girl?” He stood up angrily.
“Fullhouse just quit the pretence, you know who I’m talking about” She stood up to face him too.
“Hold on, are you referring to Ireoluwa. Really!”
“Yea, really! You spend every little free time you’ve got with her and I never complained or have I?” Moyin queried.
“Did you hear yourself? You are tolerating her”
“Yes and I won’t deny it. Adekunle, you waste your time and energy on things that are not worth it and things that won’t profit you. Do you know what they call people like you?”
“You tell me”He threw at her
“A bele ja yan!” She said in yoruba (Sowing for someone else to come reap) “That is simply what you are!”
“Moyin!”
“Tell me, what profit do you want to make from that girl who you kept investing on?”
“What exactly are you driving at?”Fullhouse asked.
“Invest those time and energy you are wasting on that girl on your own relationship and make it work”
“Oh! What happened to the time and energy I once invested into this relationship Moyin. What happened to it! You destroyed everything Moyin, with your jealousy and distrust. How can you date someone and never trust him for once? To you, I practically date all the girls in Lagos and here you are expecting our relationship to blossom. Moyin you killed whatever we had with your shenanigans!”
“Every woman is jealous, last time I checked, Gbotemi's wife is worse than I and they are happily married” She pointed out.
“Really! You expect me tolerate what Gbotemi tolerated. I know my threshold limit and all I wanted all my life is to have one hundred percent peace and I doubt if you can ever give me a quarter of that” He threw at her.
She calmed down telling herself not to allow things get worse than it is already. She was there to straighten things and not to complicate them. So she took a chill pill.
“Adekunle! Fullhouse! If you can just love me half the way you love and care for that girl…..You can go as far as protecting that girl with your life. That girl…..”
“She has a name Moyin and don’t even go there” Fullhouse cut her short. She wanted to flare up but she held it.
“Am I asking too much? If you can just….”
“Stop comparing yourself with Ireoluwa. I love her like my own sister, while you are my woman” He pointed out.
“Then don’t love me like a woman, love me the way you love Ireoluwa” She countered.
“You know I know where this conversation is coming from but don’t worry. You want me to love you like a sister abi, so be it” He said and sat down.
“Good, thank you. Love me like Ireoluwa and I promise to be a better woman for you”
“Its okay” He said and feigned a smiled and she smiled back.
“I’m leaving, it’s getting late” She walked up to where he was sitting and wanted to kiss him.
“I thought you said you’d make do with sisterly love. I don’t kiss my sisters at least not on the lips” He said, dodging the kiss.
“Fullhouse!” She said with a frown.
“Careful what you wished for” He gestured with his hands.
“Keep your sisterly love when it comes to this” She said and kissed him, he allowed her this time, though he didn’t kiss her back. She also demanded for a hug, he hugged her and she left.

*****
Ireoluwa finished her first semester exam and travelled back to Lagos for the first semester break which coincided with Fullhouse’s birthday that was around the corner, the same week she got back from school.
Fullhouse planned to throw a mini party for his 30th birthday. He wanted to celebrate with close friends and families. Moyin, the first lady was in charge of the planning, she was the event planner. She had told Fullhouse she will handle it and assured him that she will fix everything. The party was to hold on Sunday after church service.
On Saturday, Ireoluwa went to a shopping mall to get gifts for the celebrant. Her Dad had given her enough money to buy the gifts. She bought two gifts; one in the name of her family and the other one from her. She was still in the mall when she got a call from Fullhouse.
“Hi celebrant” She teased with a smile plastered on her face.
“Hi, aburo celebrant (celebrant's sister)” He teased back.
“How’s the preparation going?”
“Smoothly, thanks. When are you coming?” He asked Ireoluwa.
“Tomorrow of course”
“Why tomorrow, I even thought you’d be coming today. It’s your brother’s birthday you should be here helping with one thing or the other” He stated.
“Aww…..I didn’t think of that. Is there anything you specifically want me to handle?” She inquired.
“Not really. Moyin is handling most of the things. I just want you to come around. The three of us can be together on my birthday eve”
“Okay. I’m not home right now but when I get home, I’ll tell my parents.
“And you think I haven’t done that”
“Huh! Really….So….?”
“I’ll come pick you up by 6pm, I want to get something from a friend and the place is not too far from your house”
“Okay, l’ll be expecting you”
“Later, then. Bye” He said and the line went off.
Some minutes to 6pm, Fullhouse pulled over in front of Ireoluwa's gate. He met her parents who were watching TV in the sitting room. He greeted them and they congratulated him in advance for his birthday. They also promised to be at the party because he invited them.
Ireoluwa stepped out of her room with her shoulder bag which clung to her right shoulder and a beach bag which she was carrying with her left hand. She kept the gifts in the beach bag and her change of clothes in the big shoulder bag.
Fullhouse asked her if she was ready, she replied she was and they left. There was traffic on their way to Fullhouse's house. Moyin kept on calling; she never knew he would take that long. He explained he’s being held up in traffic. They didn’t get to his place until 8pm.
Fullhouse unlocked the door from the outside despite the fact that Moyin was inside. He knew she’d be busy in the kitchen. He led Ireoluwa inside and she dropped her things in the sitting room. They both went to the kitchen to see Moyin who was busy cooking.
“Aunty Moyin” She called out.
“Ireoluwa……” She said and pulled her into a hug. Moyin welcomed her so warmly that it even amused Fullhouse. Ireoluwa offered to help so she joined her in frying the beef and chicken that are left to be fried while Moyin was doing other things.
“Moyin I hope this cooking is not too much for you?” Fullhouse asked because he had suggested they get a caterer to do that but she said since it’s a mini party that she can handle it.
“Don’t worry, I’m almost through” She said.
They didn’t finish until 10pm, Fullhouse had to join them. He wished he didn’t listen to Moyin, employing a caterer would have reduced the stress. He later left the kitchen to fix other things when the work is almost done.
Moyin and Ireoluwa left the kitchen and went into the sitting room to join Fullhouse who was busy arranging and packing the souvenirs. Ireoluwa went to sit by his side to assist him though he did not allow her.
“You’ve done enough for tonight. Just sit and watch” He said to Ireoluwa.
The two got talking, Moyin watched them as they gist and laughed. It was not as if she wasn’t included in the conversation she only chose to keep quiet. Ireoluwa had stylishly joined Fullhouse in packing the souvenirs. Moyin began to get irritated with the way the two were laughing heartily. Her eyes and that of Fullhouse met. She shot him a deadly look, stood up and went inside the bedroom.
